I don't mind them, but if they do bring them back, I hope they make some changes. They should let us toggle region borders on the map on/off and then display how many Koroks we've found or still need to find in each region and let us toggle that on/off too.
Like with the Mai Mais on A Link Between Worlds, the map was split up into regions and displayed how many you still needed in each block. Even something like that would help a lot. And they should include the Korok mask in the game from the start.

@@accipiter160 well, rolling wouldn't work because of slopes, and energy consumption, plus any water in the way he would have to go around because Gordon's can't swim. There isn't water everywhere, and... I mean Revali is flying anyways.

The Koroks are actually legendary, they are the only creature to survive the calamity in the castle grounds. Some of these Koroks where hiding under rocks for 100 years at the castle.
I mean... only Link can see Koroks anyway so... it would probably be really hard for anyone to actually kill them.
@William Lacy The champions can probably see him to, but anyone else not. It's stated in botw that only link can see him (besides other koroks and the Deku tree I guess.)

Honestly I think they're literally immortal spirits, since they're what the kokiri turned into during the flood of wind waker. Although the timelines are hard to discern because the zora became the rito in wind waker, yet both zora and Rito are present in BOTW. Either way I'm prett sure they're immortal or at least they live so long as the Deku tree (or at least it's sapling) is alive. I think If Ganon ever got around to burning down the lost woods and all deku saplings, they'd all disappear forever

I know some 100% players out there having PTSD from this trailer, but on the other hand, this had so many sick little details. I love Impa's magnesis attack, that was actually so cool. Imagine the BOTW 2 devs take some inspiration from hyrule warriors to create some specialized attacks this time around rather than just the basic abilities. I would love to see link do some more cool stuff rather than just swing the sword, throw a bomb, etc. A couple cool moves wouldn't be game breaking and a lot of fun.
Edit: Impa is gonna be the next zelda smash character if there is another game isn't she. Just thought about that.

Everyone who actually played Hyrule Warriors. Everyone else just thinks this is a thing specific to this game.

I'm willing to bet Hestu becomes a playable character if you collect every seed and his Special Move is summoning a giant Hestu's Gift onto enemies
