    Carry a blanket or 2, make sure your lights work, and whatever you do, know where rest stops and truck stops are. Great places to get hot food and drinks with up to date weather conditions ahead of you.
    Wyoming is a Winter Wonderland, but if the snow is falling sideways, remember, if you get blown off I 80, you just might Wonder where you are going to land.
    Be safe.
    I used to drive truck there in the Winter, loved it.

    Winter winds are the worst in Wyoming.

  • @chaigtin259

    I wish the people in California would at least replace their bald tires: whenever it rains here and the wind picks up, they're all sliding around like it's the bumper-cars at the fairground. Wyoming residents seem to have more commonsense.

    How often does I-25 & 20/26, west of Casper get closed and how long does it take the roads to cleared to be able to drive on again?

    • @alishacollinsrealestate
      @alishacollinsrealestate  2 роки тому +2

      2-4 times a month (in the winter months) depending on how bad the snow is. How long it takes for the roads to be cleared depends on how the wind is blowing and the amount of snow that has to cleared. Sometimes 24 hours, most of the time less. We did have a storm last year that produced 43 inches of snow in 1.5 weeks. That took longer to clear. Again thanks for watching!

    Wonder if they're any starter homes with acres under 250. I live in Miami but clearly I will not be able to retire here. One thing is I don't drive but I do bicycle I have no problem biking 7 to 15 miles,

    • @alishacollinsrealestate

      That’s a super hard price range right now but occasionally you can find something around there. There is one that is 185,000 right now on 5 acres.

      There was a spin up in Casper that was behind the vehicle I was in, it was around 2001, was in town and it was not storming. We were driving past the new golf course and as we got to the top of the hill it hit the embankment and dissipated. Generally speaking the more severe weather conditions tend to skip past Casper and flare up around Glenrock and Douglas. Cheyenne is another hot spot for storms.
