I believe as of July 1, 2021, Wyoming became a “constitutional carry” state, where any legal resident who is 21 years or older, and may lawfully possess a firearm, may carry it concealed without a permit
That is correct. God bless Wyoming, and it's wonderful people.
I’m from NY we can’t even buy a semi auto now without a pistol permit
It has been since 2013. In 2021 it was expanded to non-residents.

I've lived in Wyoming for three years as of posting. I don't own an AC unit.
To me, it's perfect. Yes, the cold and wind may break you if you are weak.
Definitely not for the faint of heart! Thanks for watching!
Please will u tell me how much rent cost per month
@@israrhussain6159Really depends on where you move. Jackson, WY is only for millionaires but Casper and Cheyenne give my adults kids a chance to own a home.
I think the winters are absolutely beautiful here. This place is a winter wonderland.
I went to a Wyoming welcome station several years ago and mentioned to the lady working there that Wyoming is so beautiful and was surprised more people don't live here. She replied that many people do move here but after experiencing the harsh winters, they usually move away.
Most winters are long and hard for sure.
I do not think everyone moves away. There is a lot of movement always because people move for family reasons, work reasons etc.
@alishacollinsrealestate I'm sure that's true, and she was just generalizing about some of the transplants she knew about.
@@alishacollinsrealestate are your winters like 8 months?
@@joesmith9216 no. If it was eight months, it would be September through April. Sometimes it snows in September, but then it goes back to being nice weather. Same thing and April sometimes the same thing in October and March. This year it’s been very mild. In my mind 50 to 60 or 70° is not winter
Number 1 thing for me might be healthcare. If you have any health issues, you want to be near places that can treat all your needs. If you have to commute 3 hours in a winter storm to get there, that is a BIG thing.
If you live in southern Wy, the heath care in Colorado isn't far.
I love Wyoming. It was our vacation spot for me and my late husband. We retired in Buffalo, because we love God's great outdoors and camping. Now widowed, I am back in Wisconsin. My dream of living in Wyoming, began when I was 12 years old. I love horses 🐎, cows 🐄, plus farming, and ranching. Beautiful scenery and climate. Winter not as bad as Wisconsin. Days not as sunny as Wyoming. Over the years, we have made many friends. God is good. 🤠🎉
Buffalo is a great little town. Our blue skies do make for some beautiful sunny days. Thanks for watching!
I am in in Rhinelander, Wisconsin...so what part of Wyoming gets the least amount of snow do ya think? I wanna leave the harsh and very LONG winters behind and find somewhere to go where I can go play disd golf for about 9 months of the year. I love the forests and the mountains, but Wyoming seems to have about the same type of winters? Help Me Out here...
@@user-zt9ne3zc3s Surprisingly you will want to head to the central northern part of Wy. In 2022 Powell & Lovell got the least amount of snow. Thanks for watching!
We'll hold a place for you in case you ever want to come back.
Born and raised in Texas, but for the last thirty years I've wanted to move to Wyoming !! Retired about two years ago and started looking for places to live in Wyoming. I was about to give up and stay in Texas due to the high prices of real estate there until I watched your video. I am now encouraged by the information presented here and plan to continue my search for the perfect Wyoming home.
Let me know if I can help!
Born and raised Texas native too, hoping to move to Wyoming in the next five years!
I am in Texas as well and I am looking into Wyoming as well. Thank you for YT vid and it helped raise the it as one of my choices. Because I work remote, I am looking at the most stable infrastructure. I would think that Cheyenne and Casper would be my choices at this time.
Be careful, this video is designed to do just that, sucker you into moving there, its a great place to visit, not a good place to live, unless your wealthy, you cant relay on any jobs up there, the economy is in free fall, Its crazy expensive to live there, so many cons and scams are pulled on new residents, all designed to part you with your money, smiling faces in videos like this cant hide the truth, Wyoming is unstable and its getting worse and worse.
Nothing good comes from texass. Parasites on the nation
In much of the state, Medical care and especially quality emergency medical care can be hard to find and very expensive. Most of us go to Utah, Montana, or Colorado for specialists. During the winter (November through April) the roads be closed at anytime. Interstate 80 is constantly closed during the winter so don't plan to go very far. Also, in the winter the roads are not well maintained and you know you have crossed the border into Utah or Colorado when the road suddenly is clear of snow and black ice, and safe. I have seen it snow in every month of the year and even seen the interstate closed in June and September because of blizzards. Even though we have a regional airport, the fares are so prohibitively expensive that most of us fly out of SLC or DIA. Again, many of us shop in Utah, Montana, or Wyoming as our choices are very limited. We don't have many of the 'big city' problems and the schools are well funded and teachers are appreciated. There is only one university, but there are many affordable community colleges. Wyoming is sure a beautiful place to live.
All great talking points! The scenery here is like no other!
Yep, scenery is the only thing that matters. Medical care, decent housing, diversity and acceptance, none of it matters … only scenery. 😂😂😂

Last time I was in Wyoming my family stayed in a log cabin for two weeks. During a church service which was in an outdoor church it lightly snowed and a deer walked up during the service. Spiritual! Incidentally I was in the second grade, we were near Yellowstone and it was 1968. I never forgot it. Would love to go back again.
What an amazing experience!
Born and raised in Wyoming. Man I’d love to get back.
Also, this lady has the perfect TV voice. In an alternate life she should be hosting something on hgtv or broadcasting games etc.

Iv lived in S. Fla for ten yrs. Only thing I like is I own my condo and no snow. No state tax and homestead exemption are plus but hoa fees and no friendly neighbors are minus. I would trade this
There's something here you'd love, people kite board up the mountains and then board back, sometimes they get to 70MPH going uphill.
I hope no one moves to Wyoming. Wyoming is beautiful, unique, special. Don't change anything. Don't make it Like Bosie, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Colorado, or Oregon.... A California suburb.
The trade off is the rough weather here in the winters, alot of people can't handle it so they end up leaving. Fine with me!
@@wookienutsack5481 I would hope it drops to 30 below and 10 ft of snow on the ground at all times. Keep the unwanted liberals out.🤠
We visited Sheridan for a week prior to the pandemic. My wife and I locked in employment with State/Fed Govt and were on our way to getting out of AZ. Our entire time there we had no luck finding a home for rent. We tried all surrounding areas of Sheridan. We left having to turn down employment opportunities and are eager to try again. We both loved the small town vibe.
Wyoming only has two seasons... Winter and road construction.
I was told winter & wind, by a person who lives there
@jeanetteshawredden5643 the wind is there year around. I used to live there.
Vegas has hot and cold. Wind is bad too but necessary. Without it we would choke on the pollution.

I am from the Philippines. Since childhood, I always enjoy Western movies shot and filmed perhaps some in Wyoming especialy John Wayne movies. I dreamed smeday to visit and to live in Wyoming that's why I took nursing. Unfortunately, things didn't turned that way. Thanks to your channels for enabling us to have a glimpse of this beautiful part of the US. Am also glad to know that the people there are Conservatives, which in my understanding have Biblical values. windy Wyoming winter is scary to me.
Anyone can say they are Christian but that doesn't make it so. Just look at trump Charles Manson is more Christian then him

My kind of state, it comes with a clear state of mind that built this country. A place where the sky will touch your heart. Laramie has so much history and was so important to the RR and binding Cal to the east.

WIND blows 70 percent of the time over 30 mph.
INTRRSTATE 80 was CLOSED more than open 2022-23.
I don't recall that here in Star Valley, Wyoming. I love it here. We do average 91 inches of snow a year, helps with fresh drinking water.
@@TD-sg8djI'm in Gillette and the Temps he talks about were accurate in 2022.
Good breakdown and sales pitch for moving here, and I love it here and our only regret is didn't move here sooner. You didn't mention Gillette, but this is a great community and haven't met a bad person yet since moving here. Kids ride their bikes around the neighborhoods without a worry, people walk around never worried about being accosted, and many things are close to how nice, friendly, and peaceful most of the country was 50 years ago where you didn't have to worry about thugs all the time like now in most of this country. There are many things I haven't yet done here, but I have plenty of time left to be able to get out there and enjoy. Besides, the winters aren't really all that bad for me, I have lived in northern Wisconsin and Colorado as well as worked in North Dakota and they are all snowier than here as well as WI and ND being far far colder.
There is no doubt that people from Noth Dakota know how to do winter! Thank you so much for watching!
Gillette Wyoming ? Not a good place to live sky high unemployment, crazy expensive to live there, crummy schools, low paying crummy jobs, yeah this video is a pitch alright, its a scam designed to paint pretty pictures of living in Wyoming and nothing could be further from the truth, Wyoming is in Economic Free Fall, the state is going broke, people are fleeing, leaving the state in droves, crime, drugs, these are the facts this pretty lady kind of forgot to mention, I lived in the state for 25 years Sheridan and I got out before it all fell to pieces, Sheridan and Gillette are 2 of the worst area's in the state to live.Wyoming is based on scams and cons and gimmicks, now they have no more games to play. This video is a sunshine, happy days bunch of nonsense.
Seems Wyoming is my kind of place. And I am in India! 😢😭 Never mind, Bangalore is beautiful too.
As a Kansan it sounds like heaven to me. Except for the -30* stuff. I already got a truck and guns. I even have cowboy boots, belt and a hat. I even know the difference between a steer and a cow.
Boy howdy, it sounds like you are all set!
Do you know the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
I had a buddy who owned a small contracting company in Wyoming doing home remodels, decks, bathrooms, that kinda stuff who eventually had to move out of state because in those small towns there simply is not enough business to survive on.
I would strongly disagree in regard to Casper. There is more than enough work to go around here.
I lived in Cheyenne, Wy for a couple of years back in the late 1970's. Loved the area but hated the winters. I remember one fine winter day when I had to crawl out of my bedroom window to get outside because snow had drifted up in front of both doors of my house and I couldn't open either one. Had to shovel snow away from both front and back doors. The wind also blows snow drifts across the highway, and they have to close the Interstates until the snow stops.
You aren't wrong 😆We get a lot of snow!
I, too, lived in Cheyenne from ‘75 until ‘86. Absolutely loved it there. The way I heard it is that the wind doesn’t blow in Wyoming, Nebraska sucks. And that’s not entirely true either.
@shadowsdad903 we have plenty of wind.

Great video, I'm a transplant. I've lived on both coasts, almost drowned in both oceans (rip tides). Then lived in Colorado for several years, ending up working 10 miles from the Wyoming state line in Wellington, CO. I moved to Cheyenne to be closer to that job and now work and live in Cheyenne. I work outdoors too and the -30F down to -40F windchills are real and dangerous. FYI, Cheyenne is just over 6,000 feet elevation, higher than Denver. You just have to plan ahead and endure. The tradeoff is NO HUMIDITY in the summer months, I hate humidity. Oh yeah, you have to go out of your way to drown up here at 6k Elev. It happens, but you gotta go outa your way.
Thats so true! I hate humidity too! Thank you so much for watching!
How is it compared to Wellington? I live in Wellington and am considering moving to Cheyenne for lower cost of living
There is actually plenty of humidity in Cheyenne, while its not constant, it still exists here. Especially after it rains during the summer.
I'm from Cheyenne and lived in Boston and Europe. The winters are actually harder for me in these places because there is so much cloud cover. I hate the wind in S WY, but I didn't understand how 3 weeks of clouds in an already dark winter can just drain your vitality!
@@JohnKruse I believe it!
Visit Wyoming in the summer or early fall and its easy to fall in love with. Many people move here and then quickly realize the weather absolutely sucks from Jan through May. Hail season starts in May/June and it finally gets nice by July.
The weather keeps the riff raff out! lol
Sounds like Alberta . . .
I grew up here, winters we're brutal. 40 and 50 below , most of the time without high winds. You get a breeze or wind with it , the wind chill factor drives it to 55 to 65 below. Now it's not been like that since MT. Saint Helens blew up. I've been back now 10 years, the last two have been 30 to 50 below here in north central Wyo. I'd agree with the NASA scientist , It look's like another mini ice age coming our way, for the next 20 to 30 years ,,,, BBBBBRRRRRRR !
Good thing we are built different here!
This year I've been to Wyoming for Holidays and just fell in love with that state.
I like the kind of pioneer spirit Wyoming and its people spread. In Germany (where I come from and where I live) everything is forbidden.. you arent allowed to camp, to fish, to hunt, to own a gun.. there is so much regulation here, in Wyoming (especially during some hikes near Saratoga) I felt that Spirit of freedom for the First time.
Back home I'm feeling kinda home-sick, wishing me back to Wyoming.
I hope everything turns out Well, so I can move to Wyoming after my Masters Degree and assimilate in that beautiful state and become American one day 😊❤️🇺🇸
God Bless
Thank you so much! I'm glad you loved it here and felt the Wyoming spirit!
We'd like to see more people like us here.
They probably won't let you immigrate because you are the wrong demographic.
When the time comes, just buy a ticket to Mexico and walk across our southern border. It's wide open.
Here in SW Wyoming we have more than a 1000 miles of ATV trails, some of which may see a human once a decade, it's still the frontier here and we like people that can see that an embrace it. Sounds like you're already a Wyomingite.
What are you getting your masters in? There's a great need here for engineers with the next generation nuclear power plant being built here over the next few years. You sound like a good fit for Wyoming.
@@jeffmead4670 i'm sorry, but I'm currently studying History.

As a Canadian if I ever have to move Stateside, Wyoming just went towards the top of the list :-) Sounds like up here 50 years ago. Thank you Alisha for such a positive but real presentation which will help a lot of people understand the pros and cons for them. I had an uncle, for example, who just didn't go to cities with less than 1.5 million people. When he attended my wedding many moons ago and we were in a city with only 100K people I realized how much he loved us LOL. That population density sounds heavenly! Frankly, so does the lack of silly gun laws made for deep urban situations like Vancouver or Toronto when Canada is mostly more densely populated by beavers and moose than humans....Well done!!!

My family just returned from a week in Florida. None of them want to go back. My oldest lived there for a year and was thinking about it but she was like nope! After day one.
Going to visit next month, first time and looking forward to it.
I used to drive a truck thru Wyoming. More often than not. It reminds me of the backcountry. People are nice, but not a lot of people. I wouldn't move there for a job unless you are moving your business. Low people mean low economic growth for education, the service industry, and retail opportunities.
Sometimes. It's a boom or bust state. My cousins stayed until it boomed again and did very well. My branch of the family left during the bust.

I am relocating to Casper from Texas in April of 2024. The 2023 summer in Texas was brutal and I don’t mind the cold (grew up in Colorado / and Alaska as my dad was in the USAF) as much as I dislike the heat. My son moved up to Casper two years ago and I spent last August there to escape the heat, went back and stayed mid October, November and December. I work remote so it doesn’t matter where I am physically located. Looking forward to the move - I honestly fell in love with Casper and hated to return to Texas.

This is awesome, ty. I am from Casper but lived in Glennrock. If my daughter was not here in Washington I would be back.
Having lived in Casper for over 20 years, your review was spot on. I'd just like point that the cold winter temps are not all that bad because of sunny days and low humidity. What is bad is the frequent wind. Most of the larger Wyoming cities can boast that they are large enough to offer all services but without the big city problems like traffic. From downtown Casper you can be snow skiing in 30 minutes or water skiing/fishing in about 45 minutes. There's a lot to like.
Thank you so much for watching and adding to the conversation!
Ah yeah. Always fun to ski the rock!
I'm from Michigan. The winter doesn't scare me. Cheyenne, the most populous city, has fewer people than Kalamazoo, MI. Wyoming doesn't have a big city. That's a good thing.
My town is 2500, Kemmerer Wyoming and I can't imagine living anywhere else for the rest of my life.
Thank you very much for including a discussion of Wyoming gun laws and concealed/open carry. Those are of interest to me, and I was glad to hear that Wyoming accommodates both of those things. I’m going to watch a few more of your videos about Wyoming.
I love your videos! So well done and informative. As a senior thinking about moving to another state .However haven't heard you speak much about health care facilities and costs?
I will work on that! Thanks for watching!

YOU have moxie! I love your personality!! make videos about more stuff!
Thank you!! I am making them as fast as I can lol
Nice report....I lived in Kemmerer for a while, cheap hotel, oilfield job. But yeah, the people...like people seem to have the values of my parents, and everyone is friendly. People will help you when you need it.
So true! Thanks for watching!
Well thanks, Alisha ! reminds me of roughneckin' around Rock Springs. had motorcycle; living in tent. My rear lights on the bike were out, and I was looking for a certain campground at night. Car was following, and getting too close, danger....so I ripped up to 90 or so to lose him.....blue light. But the cop wass totally understanding, and then he took me to the campground so I wouldn't get hit or hurt. Today, here, in California i'd be in jail.
This was a spectacular video explanation. WY looks great. I'm debating between Wyoming or New Hampshire or Washington State for low taxes and high on nature.
Thank you!
I think Wyoming is the state for me. Thanks for the information.
You are welcome. Thank you for watching!
I’m gonna head to Wyoming soon for welding school! Coming from Texas should fit in pretty good other than the cold winters😂
Bring a heavy coat, snow boots and some gloves! Let me know if you need help finding a home!
@@alishacollinsrealestate how do I get in touch?
I've seen 12 degrees Fahrenheit be a heat wave. I've seen it snow on the 4th of July. Cottonwoods.
I don't doubt this 😆
And that nice Ford F-100 in the driveway! I might add another one some day - '68 Ford F-100 :)
Nice vid on Wyoming.
Thank you so much!
I can think of three things you missed. The first is that the elevation in Wyoming (there is only one place in the state where a river actually flows into the state and even then it turns around and flows back out a little more than a mile further downstream) it is a lot easier to get burned (by the sun) than it is in most states. The second is that Wyoming’s overall environment can be described as a high desert. What this means is that in a good year Wyoming might get thirteen inches of moisture. The third thing is that even though it has been decades since the last big Spring blizzard (I think the last one was in April of 1984) the Spring blizzards can be brutal - think five feet of snow on the level and fifteen foot tall snow drifts. These blizzards may shut things down for a week or two. That said, however, look up the blizzard of 1949. That one lasted at least two months. I think there is a video about it on UA-cam.
Oh and you might also want to know that the hardest part about living in Wyoming is getting out of Wyoming because the travel options are so limited.
Wyoming: Where you can get sunburned and snowed in all in the same day! I love those ideas!
Sounds like a great place
It really is!
I was born in Evanston Wyoming and my mom said there was snow on the 4th of July
My husband loves you and Wyoming too. I think he is leaning towards Cheyanne, but Casper would be okay too. If we get into a position to do so, we would like to live part-time in Wyoming. Back in 1979 he lived in Rock Springs for a few months. It was cold as hell but he loved it. Anyway, me and my American husband live in Asia right now, but Wyoming is our dream state. We think you are as sweet as you are beautiful. And that's a lot. LOL!
Thank you so much! Let me know if you guys come for a visit. I would love to meet you!
@@alishacollinsrealestate will do. Thanks!
Aussie born and breed, and seeing this video I want to move to Wyoming !
I lived in Casper for 7 years and she speaks the truth.
Thank you!
It sounds a pretty good place to be!
I love it here!
@@alishacollinsrealestate I'd love real estate info. Not rich. Looking to invest 80k
Funny, when I visited Wyoming I was told that there were only 3 seasons; July, August, Winter.
Lol I don't think that is totally accurate. I'm surprised they didn't tell you that we only have two seasons. Construction and winter : )
I live in London and I would absolutely love to live there and enjoy the sessions, the space, the wildlife and the attitudes of the people.
To me it’s absolutely paradise.
I would never look back.
We will be here when you are ready!
Im moving to Wyoming when i retire in a year or two. I cant afford to retire in seattle, and i only spent two weeks at Story and Sheridan but i left my heart there apartments are dirt cheap. Im thinking Rock Springs. Cant wait! 0:02
Welcome
See you soon!
So if I think you were talking to me, personally, then I'm crazy right?
Thank you for this information. May be looking you up sometime.
Que hermoso estado, me gustaría vivir ahí.
im in florida and its filling up fast. Im done with crowds and the heat. Im thinking hard about this vid.
I considered Cheyenne but the wind is an issue. I was tempted to live just north of Colorado for tax savings but still able to drive to ski resorts in the winter. I suppose I'm trying to have my cake and eat it too. Oh well. I think the winters are too brutal in other parts of the state, so I'm considering Colorado Springs instead. I'm coming from Florida so I need to ease into this.
Big change for you. I've natuve floridians who found Virginia too cold in the winter and moved back.
@@choski76 Yeah, the cold winters is a concern, but we aren't native to Florida. I have lived as far north as New Jersey and as far west as Del Rio, Texas. Orlando is actually the furthest south I have ever lived. I'm actually _more_ concerned about the drier climate.
Stay put. We don't want you here anyway, especially if you are from Florida. The only people worse are those from Texas.
@@JasonTaylor-po5xc "Water" should be the big concern in Florida. But it's not. South Texas has the Floridian weather and fifty years of being 'snow-bird' friendly but publicity only shows border issues. Heck, migrants to come across the border to stay in McAllen or Brownsville, Del Rio, etc. They go where the big companies who brought them over want them. And South Texas has four big hospital chains covering the region, so I give it big props. Hurricanes, though... while S.Texas has been spared, there's always gonna be A Next One.
@@bitfenix90 I agree with you if referring to South Florida - they have a large metro area drawing from the Everglades. The rest of the state has access to a pretty nice aquifer along with several rivers and natural springs - we also get a lot of rain. However, we are somewhat limited on land. I looked at Texas. I actually used to live in Del Rio many, many years ago. The problem with Texas is property taxes are among the highest in the country, which does offset no state income tax. I think I'm going to spend the summer driving around the country to figure out where I like the most and look into relocating there - or, perhaps keeping Florida as my base and just live in other states for a month or so at a time during the summer until the kids get out of school.
I miss Wyoming. I grew up in Douglas, and as a young adult lived in Casper, Cheyenne, Gillette, Buffalo, Laramie, Jackson, Cody and Laramie. I permanently moved away in 1991. I believe I hold the distinction of having been fired from more Wyoming radio stations than anyone else. When I lived in Casper I lived at El Sid / Fox Hill apartments and last I checked it’s still there.
Wow lol Fox Hill apartments are still there!
The snow looks like northern michigan in May! Lol
Wish I could convince my son's to love it and they would too if they tried have to stay with my grandkids though
my "son's" - the word you're looking for is "sons"
I can't wait to have grandkids! Thanks for watching!
I really like the way you speak
I really like the way you listen :)
Can you get around on the streets there, like in Casper, in a car in the winter time? I know you can with a 4-wheel drive vehicle, but how about just a regular car with front-wheel drive?
And are they pretty good at snow plowing the streets and keeping them drivable?
You can but I wouldn't recommend it. Many of the neighborhoods do not get plowed on a regular basis and sometimes the snow comes down or drifts so fast it is impossible toto keep up.
Thank you - appreciate that info.@@alishacollinsrealestate
Most of the time the snow in Casper has so little moisture content that driving in it is no problem at all. You can't even make a snowball or a snowman. We grew up with RWD cars and with snow tires did just fine 99% or the time. The other 1% of the time you simply stay home. Casper has a weather phenomenon call Chinook winds. The winds come over the mountains and warm things up very quickly. It can be around 0 degrees one day and warm up to 40 the next day and melt everything quickly. I guess that's one reason to appreciate the "windy city".
@@cottydry Thanks for letting me know - apprecaite your time.
God bless you
Thank you for watching!
I love Wyoming State
Me too! Thank you for watching!
This video randomly popped up in my recommendations
I guess it's due to last of us T.V series
But surely loved to visit sometime
We would love to have you!
I have always loved Wyoming my neighboring state Next to Nebraska 🤠👍🇺🇸
Hi neighbor. Thank you for watching!
@@alishacollinsrealestate you are welcome, take care now.
What lakes are there near Casper for waterskiing/wake surf?
Alcova, Pathfinder and Glendo are all great lakes for those activities.
growing season in jackson, 29 days ! no tomatoes !
Sounds like upstate New York. Horrible windchill factors and snow so high it’s hard to believe.
