I live ten miles East of Devil's Tower...This storm was absolutely nothing in comparison to the 1984 blizzard we had....You could WALK onto your rooftop in the snow drifts that amassed in that storm...was insane....I did have some 5 foot drifts in this one, I have two nine year old German Shepherd babies, and we went out into this storm all day and played...it was a little cold at first, wind was pretty wicked, but all in all, not to bad...the snow was really weird though....kind of had a consistency of a fine flour and sand combination...made it very difficult to break trail in...but I have to admit....I am originally from Alaska, and I LOVE the snow storms...It does pain my heart to see what this storm did East and South of here though...I just read that over 1 million calves were lost just in Nebraska alone...I know a large portion of South Dakota was hit pretty hard too....
You'll never need to worry about cutting the wrong size, spin in circles or waste time trying to figure out what goes where... With ryan's detailed shed plans ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu , it makes building sheds a breeze - just like putting lego bricks together! You'll be able to create the kind of shed, your neighbors and other woodworkers will secretly envy (while mumbling nice job under their breath).
I was born in Jackson almost seven decades ago. I have definitely experienced what you're going through right now. We had a blizzard in 78 and I went into labor I couldn't get to the hospital and the doctor couldn't get to me. That was the most awesome delivery I've ever had made me choose to have home birth forevermore after that. I have warm and fond memories of the 78 blizzard...living in north Texas now and I sure do miss the snow.
It's not for every one to live in WY I assure you of that - if you didn't grow up in that climate u won't last long - most can only handle 21 days on average at best then bug out - I've worked in some of the hardest areas of the country - WY was the hardest it's not for everyone, it will test your faith to the bone
LOL The barn cats remind me of going to my daughter's place on the Canadian/Washington border. Last visit I shoveled snow twice a day for two weeks. Storms lined up one after another.
I was just checking out youtube & saw this one. It's good to know that those cows were ok, I'm an animal love. When I first saw that part with the cows covered in snow I sort of panic but what you said that just proved how well their protected from the cold. I've always worried about the cows & horses when there are these type of storms. But they still look so cold, poor babies...
Jet Set ...agreed. Keep warm, or try to. Looks very peaceful and good for the mind body and soul.God bless you and yours....all on two legs and four, too. Take care, spring will get here soon. So I am told. Slainte. From PhillyPA 🕊🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Yep! I've grown up with the stories of the '78 blizzard from my parents and grandparents when 50 inches fell in 2 days. In 2007 we had one that was as deep as the top of our house. I remember the neighbors dogs just strolling right over the top of their 6 ft privacy fence.
WOW! This Lady is so awesome in caring for her animals on her land. And her dog is awesome too. Such a champ with that kind of weather keeping up with its owner. God bless these farmers and their family.
This is so surreal to me, as someone who lives in North Carolina. We had some snow in like January? It was like an inch or two and turned to ice pretty much overnight and that cancelled schools and closed stores and everything. I'm looking at this, and I think there is more snow on the ground than if you add all the snow I've seen in my life. I'm glad you survived and all your animals are just fine! Stay safe and warm!!
You should have been there back in '49. Now there was a blizzard and a half! Our place east of Cheyenne had drifts over the porch and it was so bad that the cars couldn't make it through and the folks had to hike to the nearest ranch house to survive. Ranchers rose to the occasion and opened their homes and hearts to all comers. Good luck digging out, y'all!
Look up the blizzard of 1949 WY PBS put it out some time ago and it's on YT. Much bigger and longer. This one is a pup compared to that one! This one didn't stop trains that one did.
Yeah, I remember reading the "Little House on the Prairie" books. Very sweet times. So wonderful to know about history and how people lived approximately 100 years ago. Here in my home town there is a historic cemetery. I drive by it all the time and wonder, ""Lord, tell me please about the people buried there." -Tom
Love the fact that you care about your animals!!! Glad the blizzard wasn't too bad and that you didn't lose power!!! You've got a good head on your shoulders and also have common sense which is essential to survival living on a farm! Stay safe!
WOW! That's some powerful storm! Hope all the heifers and their babies made it through the blizzard ok!! Y'all stay safe! Never experienced anything like this in North Carolina! Thanks for sharing!
You all are absolutely amazing!! 😳 Y’all are the “real deal”!!! 💪🏻 Kudos to you BIG TIME for your determination and fortitude!!! I just love your channel 💚💛🤎
Thanks for sharing how dramatic (potentially traumatic) this was for your homestead - takes a lot to live on the edge and even more to share it effectively. Much appreciation!
Wow. That's amazing! I've seen lots of snow, but never like this before. Growing up on a cattle ranch in the '60's, we would light bonfires in the pastures to keep the cattle warm. Our herd was about 150 head. I've learned/seen, once a cow goes down, they rarely get back up, due to hypothermia, pneumonia, etc. This was especially true if the temperature fell below 26 degrees. Killed the orange crops, too. We are in Florida and raised Santa Gertrudis, Brahamn and the Longhorn, (courtesy of Spain) but no snow gardens. Great photography!
My greatgreat grandparents were first settlers in NorthDakota and Charles took expeditions thru northernWyoming and Montana .Matilda stayed in log cabin with baby Lee ,first white child born in that Dakotaterritory.They wrote about blizzards ! My sister married a man from ranch west of Bushnell,Neb. near PineSprings, Wyoming.Ill show this video.His parents are in Kimball now.We are in Moline I’ll.JohnDeere country and now in Mich.where we raised large fam. on hobby farm.You speak my heart on why we raise kids and live in country, with farm animal and cook and can and garden from scratch.Love your videos and cooking projects!!
Thanks for sharing! I’m in Miami, Fl and we got snow back in the late ‘70’s. It was flurries that melted once it hit the ground and I was just a kid. Nice to see something different and I’m glad everyone/things okay!
It was a few weeks ago for our blizzard, here in Western Montana, but it was similar. 27” in 24 hours, more than any storm in the last 20 years. And it has lasted for weeks! We are melting now during the days, so we are about to transition from ice & snow to mud & muck. We don’t have cows, but our neighbor does & he’s been on constant patrol all winter. The calves are pretty cool to watch! Good luck with your storm recovery!
Long ago a mighty snow storm occurred For weeks stranded in snow they endured With food in short supply not to be procured County cowboy ranchers food pantries secured Took in storm stragglers and life was reassured
Wow! I feel ya! We live in rural North Eastern Ontario. We usually get LOTS of snow, but this year has been unreal with storms. Very thankful we homeschool 😊
WOW! That's quite the storm. I remember a storm like that when I lived in Oregon. I'm glad you and the animals made it through ok. I love how your dog knew right where you were going, looking back and you to make sure you're coming and how much fun they had playing in the snow.
Loved your hour by hour narration of this severe storm to let all who watch understand what you went through and the danger a storm like this is for someone who is caught out on the road and stranded. Wyoming has a reputation for wind and snow and the Hardy People who are willing to live there.
Loved seeing the dogs running around in the snow together, havin' a blast, just like some kids do, in snow storms. Sure wish you'd thought to sweep the snow off the cows, though - especially the little ones. The cats were sweet & all so beautiful too! Are they siblings? Loved seeing the interiors of the barns too!
Oh. My. Gracious! My heart goes out to you hard workers! Without farmers, I would not have the grain that I need for milling into flour to bake my sourdough breads!
Your such a brave woman. I’m terrified of being alone at night. My husband has a lot of cats that sleep on the porch, so with the cats and my 2 dogs I never have to be alone
I was born and raised in Wyoming, I've had to climb out of the second floor window to then spend all day shoveling the front porch to open the front door, it gets bad know doubt.
I wish there was a way that we could collect that snow and send to other parts of the world in drought. I live in Australia and we need water. I'm proud that you cared so much for your animals. Kudos
I live in Eastern Colorado and we get one of these storms every year. It blew the electic transmission lines down and we were without power 8 days. The last time it was 4 days.
I worked in Yellowstone park one winter and there was 18" of snow in one night. The park was closed for a couple if days. You brought back many wonderful memories thank you. Good luck to you and your family stay safe and warm.
That quantity of snow isn't uncommon here, but the way it came in was pretty unusual-- one report I saw said that this storm had level 1 hurricane force winds, so when you combine that with snow, it's pretty intense.
I lived around Boston and northern New England when I was young and know more about blizzards than I care to! I've also travelled through Wyoming blizzards in the winter several times. Impossible!
~~~ Your family and Homestead are on my daily prayer list...I have been able to come to Wyoming and yes it was for myself an interesting joy. Snow is one of the joys in my life and I loved your video for today . Please be safe and keep safe ......most of all to you GOD''S JOY......
1991 in Duluth MN we had a Halloween blizzard. 38 inches the first day. Unseasonably cold early in the season so the snow stayed until March. Fortunately I rented as I had just moved back to Duluth so snow removal was done by landlord. Not this year, however. I think we had over 4 feet of snow in February alone. It wa a treat on those few days it didn't snow. My heart goes out to you. You and your animals are safe, most important. I love Wyoming.
THE HISTORY OF THE HOMESTEAD ERA (1860'S); DURING THE WINTERS THEY WOULD RUN A ROPE BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND BARN. IF THE ROPE WASN'T USED ONE WOULD GET LOST IN THE BLIZZARDS
Okaaaaayyyyy! WOW! I live in Ohio and I will never complain about the snow here again. That is scary! When I had my farm the most amount of snow I saw was 4 feet and that was back in 94. The snow completely covering the windows all I can say is FRiGHTENING! Stay safe!!
I’m 69 and grew up in Illinois, not Chicago, and I remember storms like these. Never thought much about it. As kids we were outside all the time and loved these storms. I think that the endless spring and fall rains (7-10 days) are the worst. Flooding and more flooding.
Well done vid of what it's like to be coping with a blizzard, right down to showing the changing snow drifts on the porch, & how, when out walking, the wind can create areas where the snow may be only a few inches deep, but in the next step, may be just over your knees, which makes it hard to walk in. The little drift that blew in due to a small crack under the door , feet away showed how strong the wind was. I put old towels to fill the gap under my back storm door. The strip at the bottom was cheaply made & broke in the cold weather one year. After the inner door is closed, there's a large, thin but dense towel I arrange at the bottom of that door. It makes a huge difference. .
My father in law is in Chadron.....on his old homestead raising cattle. I talked to him the night of the blizzard and he's a tough old man but he said it was the worst he has ever ever seen!!!!! He didn't lose any cattle but so many many did....millions lost I guess. It is just terrible.
That was a pretty nasty storm... I live in Erie PA, so I feel your pain. A couple years ago, on Christmas Day we got hammered with one of the worst blizzards on record. Something to the tune of about 6-8 feet of snow in 3 days.
When I was young waaaaay back when,lol, one Thanksgiving we had snowstorm. My little brother was about 3 years old, we were watching the snow come down and he was so excited,he yelled mommy, mommy, come look it's comin' a gizzard. I think of him every Thanksgiving. He passed away with cancer 20 years ago
I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, OH & we would get lake effect snow & it was CRAZY!! So I have definitely seen snow like that ... I am happy that y'all made it thru the storm!!! PS ~ you have beautiful cats !!!
I'm right outside of Cleveland on the shores of Lake Erie. I can definitely relate when you talk about the lake effect. It can be absolutely brutal. Between the windchills, snow by the foot and wicked winds, it can make winters here down right deadly.
WOW! That is definitely something that I have never seen before! So glad that you guys are o.k. and didn't lose power! Hoping that it warms up nicely there to get rid of all the snow! 🌼
7:47 Flying dogs! Praying for spring 🕊We got all our snow in a month this year. Ya'll live in true snow country! Happy to see how much ya'll take such good care of your animals, and love them 😊 Blessings from Kellogg Idaho
We had 4 feet of snow in February alone. We haven't seen that much snow in over 20 years. When I was a child snow banks were so tall you couldn't throw the snow. Times they are a changing.
Why do you feel guilty??? These people choose to live in areas, with brutally cold winters. No one forces them to live there!!! They have CHOSEN to live in these areas; presumably because the cost of living is low, due the undesirable, hideous climate. As they say: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Coastal central and southern California, is extremely expensive, because it has by far the best climates in the contiguous United States (from the Bay Area to SoCal). The combination of low humidity, dry sunny summers and wet, mild and in the case of SoCal warm winters and vast topographical diversity of the state (the highest mountains in the US) makes it unbeatable climate wise. I DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR THESE PEOPLE; I LAUGH AT THEM AND THEIR STUPIDITY!!!!
@@allmyothersubscriptions and while your "laughing at our stupidity" we laugh at your lack of freedoms,crime ,pollution,crazy politicians, illegal immigrants...should I continue....from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠
Even though it can be bad for some people,panic and anxiety. I think our survival instincts open up and certain people look forward to a blizzard challenge. It can be rewarding and satisfying next to a fire a warm bed,cuddled with your mate. It’s gratifying.
There is no such thing as a ridiculous number of cats. I have 26 rescues. LOL You are saving and caring for animals. It doesnt get any better than that. BRAVO to you!
Soooooo envious. We haven’t had blizzards like that here, South Wales, UK, since 2012......it’s seems to go in 8-10 year cycles. We had terrible blizzards in 1982 where the snow drifts buried one side of our house, which was a three floor tall house. All the best Dean Wales, UK
That's a serious farm dog. I'm surprised it didn't turn around and go back in the house. My dad always thought you warmed critters from the inside out. Feed them to survive the cold weather.
Little on the chilly side up here in Montana as well and of course the wind just keeps blowing but, we all deal with it. Nothing really new but still, it can get really nasty in just a few minutes. Here it is almost the end of March and my garage doors are still frozen shut. All that it is, I still wouldn't live anywhere else. Thanks for showing around your place. And glad you all made it thru.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! I usually don't like anything "wintery", but I have to admit, this was a good one. I'm originally from Michigan, so I've seen enuf winter to last me the rest of my life. I'm too old to homestead now, but it was something I wanted to do when I was younger, so I really enjoy your vids. Don't worry, you'll always make it! You've got it knocked, youngster! You all have the "right stuff"!
This does not even compare to the Blizzard they had years ago then the snow and drifts trapped people and livestock in their homes for over a month . Was so cold livestock froze to death standing up looking like statues had to drop hay from air planes and take bulldozers to clear the roads . This effected WY. CO and NE as I remember think Roosevelt was president but not sure . The armed forces had to help and so did locals Cheyenne was also snowed in do your research.
I love a good snowstorm. That is as long as I have a fire in the fireplace,a big picture window, hot soup cooking on the stove, a cup of hot Apple cider, and horduerves arranged on the coffee table. Last, play a nice romantic DVD in the player. ( like: The Holiday ) Boyfriend is optional. 😚😍😊😁❤💖💙💚💕 Yes, well I'm a teeny bit spoiled. Thx for sharing. 👏
Im sorry. You're handling it with a fantastic attitude. This winter has been just been crazy across much of the US. Epic flooding in the Midwest. Bomb snowstorms in the west. We in the Pacific Northwest had a storm that dropped the heaviest (not most snow, but weighed an outrageous amount) snow in a two day period that we've had in 30+ years. We lost power for a week. Glad you faired better.
Live in Wisconsin, lived in a farm house with 3 doors to the outside and one year the only way out of the house was thru a first floor window! Snow buried the garage doors to the top! You could climb the snow bank and step DOWN on the basketball hoop! Feel your pain!
I was visiting my parents in Cheyenne and we got snowed in. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen! Luckily I had your Heritage Cooking Course preview to keep me busy! It was great, thanks!
Omg. I am in sunny Florida right now. I admire y'all for keeping your homestead, and all it entails. What a great cyclone in Wyoming 2019. Good luck and be safe, bless and keep your faith.
I just looked it up - looks like a double bomb cyclone. It was the mother load of blizzards!
I loved the pbs documentary on this blizzard!
Beautiful weather from Phoenix Arizona
This reminds me of the blizzards described by Laura Ingalls Wilder in "The Long Winter." Brutal! Stay safe.
Lol me too!
Here in New England, we get snow like that pretty much every winter. This year, however, has been mild (knock on wood) Glad everyone is ok! 😊
That quantity of snow isn't uncommon here, but the way it came in was pretty unusual-- one report I saw said that this storm had level 1 hurricane force winds, so when you combine that with snow, it's pretty intense.
I remember 1978
@@jeffdunnell508 I was 4 in 1978 but I do remember a huge snow storm here. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was taller than my father.
I lived around Boston and northern New England when I was young and know more about blizzards than I care to!
I've also travelled through Wyoming blizzards in the winter several times. Impossible!
~~~ Your family and Homestead are on my daily prayer list...I have been able to come to Wyoming and yes it was for myself an interesting joy. Snow is one of the joys in my life and I loved your video for today . Please be safe and keep safe ......most of all to you GOD''S JOY......
1991 in Duluth MN we had a Halloween blizzard. 38 inches the first day. Unseasonably cold early in the season so the snow stayed until March. Fortunately I rented as I had just moved back to Duluth so snow removal was done by landlord. Not this year, however. I think we had over 4 feet of snow in February alone. It wa a treat on those few days it didn't snow. My heart goes out to you. You and your animals are safe, most important. I love Wyoming.
THE HISTORY OF THE HOMESTEAD ERA (1860'S); DURING THE WINTERS THEY WOULD RUN A ROPE BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND BARN. IF THE ROPE WASN'T USED ONE WOULD GET LOST IN THE BLIZZARDS
Wow..never thought of that..
Yessir. The bomb cyclone that hit colorado ended up killing someone who had become disoriented on his own land and froze.
John Doe we still do that. Ours is a quarter inch cable.
Jesusa De Leon We still do that. Ours is a quarter in cable.
I'm in my late late 70's. I've seen some of those snowstorms
Okaaaaayyyyy! WOW! I live in Ohio and I will never complain about the snow here again. That is scary! When I had my farm the most amount of snow I saw was 4 feet and that was back in 94. The snow completely covering the windows all I can say is FRiGHTENING! Stay safe!!
Wow, that's a lot of snow! Glad you guys are okay! God Bless!
I’m 69 and grew up in Illinois, not Chicago, and I remember storms like these. Never thought much about it. As kids we were outside all the time and loved these storms. I think that the endless spring and fall rains (7-10 days) are the worst. Flooding and more flooding.
Looks like every day from November to March here in Minnesota! Glad y'all made it through without to much damage.👍🏼
Please stop telling people your animals will be fine in a blizzard animals die in blizzards just like people
Wow that amount of snow is crazy. I didn't know Wyoming snowed so strongly. You have a beautiful homestead.
Man. That’s craziness!! Glad ya’ll are safe.. and warm! 💕
Well done vid of what it's like to be coping with a blizzard, right down to showing the changing snow drifts on the porch, & how, when out walking, the wind can create areas where the snow may be only a few inches deep, but in the next step, may be just over your knees, which makes it hard to walk in.
The little drift that blew in due to a small crack under the door , feet away showed how strong the wind was. I put old towels to fill the gap under my back storm door. The strip at the bottom was cheaply made & broke in the cold weather one year. After the inner door is closed, there's a large, thin but dense towel I arrange at the bottom of that door.
It makes a huge difference.
.
I"m here in Western Nebraska, and I said the same thing - "worse I ever lived thru" . Good luck!
My father in law is in Chadron.....on his old homestead raising cattle. I talked to him the night of the blizzard and he's a tough old man but he said it was the worst he has ever ever seen!!!!! He didn't lose any cattle but so many many did....millions lost I guess. It is just terrible.
I'm in Nebraska(eastern, near the flooding), you guys keep getting snow. Today , even
That was a pretty nasty storm... I live in Erie PA, so I feel your pain. A couple years ago, on Christmas Day we got hammered with one of the worst blizzards on record. Something to the tune of about 6-8 feet of snow in 3 days.
When I was young waaaaay back when,lol, one Thanksgiving we had snowstorm. My little brother was about 3 years old, we were watching the snow come down and he was so excited,he yelled mommy, mommy, come look it's comin' a gizzard. I think of him every Thanksgiving. He passed away with cancer 20 years ago
New sub here! It’s cool to get perspective of how snow impacts life on a farm! The animals are lucky to have someone care about them the way you do!
very eye opening how much work it is to take care of farm animals, gardens, homesteading, etc. I admire that so much, you do a great job!
I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, OH & we would get lake effect snow & it was CRAZY!! So I have definitely seen snow like that ... I am happy that y'all made it thru the storm!!!
PS ~ you have beautiful cats !!!
I'm right outside of Cleveland on the shores of Lake Erie. I can definitely relate when you talk about the lake effect. It can be absolutely brutal. Between the windchills, snow by the foot and wicked winds, it can make winters here down right deadly.
WOW! That is definitely something that I have never seen before! So glad that you guys are o.k. and didn't lose power! Hoping that it warms up nicely there to get rid of all the snow! 🌼
I've been thinking about you, thanks for updating. I'm glad all is relatively ok. but damn that is some fierce weather! stay warm & cook & bake! lol.
Your dogs running in the deep snow with the sun in the backround made my heart happy x
7:47 Flying dogs! Praying for spring 🕊We got all our snow in a month this year. Ya'll live in true snow country! Happy to see how much ya'll take such good care of your animals, and love them 😊 Blessings from Kellogg Idaho
We had 4 feet of snow in February alone. We haven't seen that much snow in over 20 years. When I was a child snow banks were so tall you couldn't throw the snow. Times they are a changing.
I've experience much worse blizzards, but then I am much older than this young lady. Love your lifestyle btw and kudos to you for your hard work.
Omg! I feel so guilty living in CA. We are lamenting another couple of rain "storms"
Why do you feel guilty??? These people choose to live in areas, with brutally cold winters. No one forces them to live there!!! They have CHOSEN to live in these areas; presumably because the cost of living is low, due the undesirable, hideous climate. As they say: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Coastal central and southern California, is extremely expensive, because it has by far the best climates in the contiguous United States (from the Bay Area to SoCal). The combination of low humidity, dry sunny summers and wet, mild and in the case of SoCal warm winters and vast topographical diversity of the state (the highest mountains in the US) makes it unbeatable climate wise. I DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR THESE PEOPLE; I LAUGH AT THEM AND THEIR STUPIDITY!!!!
@@allmyothersubscriptions and while your "laughing at our stupidity" we laugh at your lack of freedoms,crime ,pollution,crazy politicians, illegal immigrants...should I continue....from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠
I commend you. You are much stronger than I am.
May God bless & keep you.
Turbo says “Nevermind, I’ll hold it!” Those are beautiful cats!
I was just thinking the same thing.
"It's ok, Mom. I can potty next week."
Even though it can be bad for some people,panic and anxiety.
I think our survival instincts open up and certain people look forward to a blizzard challenge.
It can be rewarding and satisfying next to a fire a warm bed,cuddled with your mate.
It’s gratifying.
Loved watching your dogs jump around. Dogs love snow! Ha
There is no such thing as a ridiculous number of cats. I have 26 rescues. LOL You are saving and caring for animals. It doesnt get any better than that. BRAVO to you!
This is the kind of blizzards that my father talked about on the farm in North Dakota. He hated snow for his entire life.
Soooooo envious. We haven’t had blizzards like that here, South Wales, UK, since 2012......it’s seems to go in 8-10 year cycles. We had terrible blizzards in 1982 where the snow drifts buried one side of our house, which was a three floor tall house.
All the best
Dean
Wales, UK
That's a serious farm dog. I'm surprised it didn't turn around and go back in the house.
My dad always thought you warmed critters from the inside out. Feed them to survive the cold weather.
Little on the chilly side up here in Montana as well and of course the wind just keeps blowing but, we all deal with it. Nothing really new but still, it can get really nasty in just a few minutes. Here it is almost the end of March and my garage doors are still frozen shut. All that it is, I still wouldn't live anywhere else. Thanks for showing around your place. And glad you all made it thru.
O MY stay warm please warm prayers for your family and friends and livestock.
I'm originally from Michigan and I've seen blizzards equally bad...especially with the lake effect winds surrounding it!!!
Wow, that’s crazy. I enjoy your channel so much. Greetings from Alaska 💛
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! I usually don't like anything "wintery", but I have to admit, this was a good one. I'm originally from Michigan, so I've seen enuf winter to last me the rest of my life. I'm too old to homestead now, but it was something I wanted to do when I was younger, so I really enjoy your vids. Don't worry, you'll always make it! You've got it knocked, youngster! You all have the "right stuff"!
Thanks Lisa!
This does not even compare to the Blizzard they had years ago then the snow and drifts trapped people and livestock in their homes for over a month . Was so cold livestock froze to death standing up looking like statues had to drop hay from air planes and take bulldozers to clear the roads . This effected WY. CO and NE as I remember think Roosevelt was president but not sure . The armed forces had to help and so did locals Cheyenne was also snowed in do your research.
We had cyclone flooding here in Nebraska. About 3"of rain melting 2feet of snow overnight. It was crazy. Worst flooding in 50, years.
I think that would be a true definition of a snow cyclone. In and gone!
I love a good snowstorm. That is as long as I have a fire in the fireplace,a big picture window, hot soup cooking on the stove, a cup of hot Apple cider, and horduerves arranged on the coffee table. Last, play a nice romantic DVD in the player. ( like: The Holiday ) Boyfriend is optional. 😚😍😊😁❤💖💙💚💕 Yes, well I'm a teeny bit spoiled. Thx for sharing. 👏
Hello there! you overcame the snowy party, now please stay safe for the upcoming winter, have the best of luck! Greetings from Mexico!
You know your in Wyoming, when a farmer has a tractor with a BIG SNOW BLOWER on it.
Im sorry. You're handling it with a fantastic attitude. This winter has been just been crazy across much of the US. Epic flooding in the Midwest. Bomb snowstorms in the west. We in the Pacific Northwest had a storm that dropped the heaviest (not most snow, but weighed an outrageous amount) snow in a two day period that we've had in 30+ years. We lost power for a week. Glad you faired better.
Live in Wisconsin, lived in a farm house with 3 doors to the outside and one year the only way out of the house was thru a first floor window! Snow buried the garage doors to the top! You could climb the snow bank and step DOWN on the basketball hoop!
Feel your pain!
she doesn't know snow
Zig says zuck that zno!! From sunny cochise county, az. there's no more room here so dont visit or come by, Zig says no worries!!
Let's pray for Ms prairie, this is Missionary Reyes, from California
How did the animals survive? outside?
I was visiting my parents in Cheyenne and we got snowed in. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen! Luckily I had your Heritage Cooking Course preview to keep me busy! It was great, thanks!
Well, perfect timing for the preview! hehe ;)
That's a lot of snow! Think you just talked me out of moving there 😂😂😂
Meanwhile she talked me in to moving in 😂
The dogs look like they are having a ball. Real nice Boyce. So comfortable looking
Gonna get crazier over this decade, gal! Semper Paratus!👍🇺🇸☮️✌️♓
Oh yea, go ahead and speak life to it. Give the demons the go ahead to fuck up your property. The power of life and death are in the tongue.
Omg. I am in sunny Florida right now. I admire y'all for keeping your homestead, and all it entails. What a great cyclone in Wyoming 2019. Good luck and be safe, bless and keep your faith.
Milk cows fully deserve spoiling
for sure!
Thank you for the incredible opportunity of seeing nature and appreciation of sharing with people what it truly looks like.
I'd endure that weather just for the ability to see the scenery.
