Back in 2008, it was my second time seeing Linkin Park. I still remember this moment when Chris Cornell came out to sing with them. It was amazing. Looking forward to this reaction!!
What breaks my heart every time is the fact that Chester took his life on Chris' birthday. Like I can only imagine how that day must have brought him memories of his lost friend and eventually overwhelmed him.
I have read the backstory on both of them and Chris' depression and Chester had to deal with sexual abuse as a child. I am still heartbroken about their taking their lives and as you said, Chester on Chris' birthday. Unbelievably sad.
first time I heard it, Mike's intro opened a whole new level of feelings for me, ánd thén Chris joined. Sad I found this post mortem, glad & só grateful I found it! HHH is also one of my faves, so +++
I had to watch this again, and my heart broke thinking about their battle with mental illness. That's where the song comes from R.I.P Chester, and Chris😭😭🤘🤘
It's probably about the tragic fact that Chris Cornell killed himself, Chester Bennington sung on his funeral. Only 2 months later he committed suicide as well..
It got me too Biss. 💔 Thankful for the blessings of amazing music and talent and memories that Chris and Chester shared with us… but wow… I sure do miss them. Thanks for a beautiful and heartfelt reaction and sharing your love and appreciation for these amazing guys along with us. ❤🙏🏻
100 % no need to apologize. We all had the same reaction. Seeing them perform together is bittersweet. It's great to see and hear it, but it's sad that we'll never see or hear them again. If you didn't rewind, I was going to watch over and over.
I just watched Chris singing Nothing Compares to You and cried for obvious reasons. Now this. No joke. I need a little break. This is a bit overwhelming. 😢😢😢
I miss Chester….I still get emotional when I hear him sing, and really listen to the lyrics of their songs. Such a tortured but talented and wonderful soul.
Thank you Miss Bisscute and congratulations on a great reaction for two great voices of a generation that are sadly no longer with us. It was nice to see you so emotional because that collaboration gives me chills and great memories.
Linkin Park has been releasing lost demos for the last few months lost is a really good one. The others are fighting myself, more than a victim, massive , healing foot, a6, cuiaudo, husky, interrgation, faint, plaster2 shifter they all came out in the last few months
no matter if you know them or not, no matter if you like them or not, fact is they where friends and are now both gone for years... its just fkn emotional 😭
don't say sorry for your tears. Our tears are precious and authentic. this is the greatest respect and salut you can give this band and Chester. Thank you for this wonderful video and for your work.
They both... 😭😭😭You are not have to be "strong" your light is far more that this. You are real... I miss them. I Cry with you now. Big, tough 41 man... My tears flow as I'm kid... Which I truly am...
Grew up listening to them. I was a teenager in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Grunge and all the best music ever was in its infancy. Brings back soooooo many memories. Breaks my heart for so many reasons. Generation ‘X’. Responsible for so many great things in the world. I wish I could go back 35 years and do it again.
i just watched that performance yesterday, it made me emotional too i grew up listening to Linkin and Chris Cornell bcause my mom love them, it's a blessing and a curse listening to their music like u said
Chester could sing like an Angel and scream like a Demon. I loved hearing both of them singing together, harmonizing so well. I first heard Linkin Park in the Army back in 2001 just out of basic training watching "In the End" music video. At first I didn't like Mike's rapping part, but I grew to love it. I've always loved Chester's vocals. I heard about what happened to him 1 day after it happened randomly looking around UA-cam, actually cried for someone I never met. "Who cares if one more light goes out? WELL I DO!" Stay safe.
I love the fact that you make it a point, to give Mike Shinoda recognition for Linkin Parks success! He co-founded the band in 1996 and contributes as their rhythm guitarist, singer, keyboardist, primary songwriter and producer. He also formed a rap group called “Fort Minor” & has a solo album which you should also check out! Needless to say Linkin Park probably wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for him..he’s a musical genius and legend for creating a new genre, that many bands today try to mimic.
perfectly natural to react the way you did. watching 2 best friends belt out this song and knowing we will never hear anything new from or see them again... its a hard punch to the gut. rest in peace Chester and Chris. your words touched billions
I've watched this reaction several times and each time I get to feeling like you do. I wanna thank you for being honest and straightforward with your reactions. Always in a better mood after your reactions. Don't change and I'll keep watching.
There’s no need to worry or apologize, because tragedy is an emotional experience. So it’s absolutely understandable when the emotions take over. This was the first Linkin Park song I ever heard, seeing the official video, and as soon as the chorus hit I loved it. Chris + Chester also teamed up to sing “Hunger Strike” live, when Chris was with his band and Chester was the guest. That one is very special, too. Rest In Peace to two restless souls who deserve to know peace forever.
Hello, Thank you for your reaction, you are not the only one who cried, I cried with you.. Thank you for the video, your reaction was from the heart...
Don’t be sorry for crying. I’m a 42 year old grown ass man. And I cry every time I listen to Chester or Chris. Tears of joy. Tears of Sorrow. I miss them both very much.
I watch this live perform a few times a year. And I cry every time. I feel the same as you. It’s so beautiful to see them sing such a painful song, but it’s also heartbreakingly tragic to know that the feelings this song portrays is what took Chester and Chris from us. The duality of life. There’s tragedy in beauty and beauty in tragedy.
You ask how you can express what you want to say - your reaction and pure, honest tears express more than any words. You apologize for being emotional - you have no idea how many of us - your viewers - were looking for tissues, combining their emotions with yours, feeling full harmony and symbiosis that someone feels the same way I do. Thank you for your reaction.
When Chris sings the verse “Against my will I stand beside my own reflection …It's haunting” he’s singing face to face with Chester then hugs him. 2 legends gone way too soon
Bisscute, you are just as special as they are, as you have demonstrated that there are no words to explain your reaction. Music for us is like a feeling, it manages to bring us joy and sadness so deep that his reaction was a work of art. Congratulations! I'm a musician and I get emotional like that too, I know how you felt. We share the same feeling! Hugs from another Brazilian fan!
Love Chris, tbh don't know that much about Chester, Mike, and Linkin Park but know they're a big deal and they sounded great! You were really feeling this one Biss and that's awesome 🔥🌠🌊
It's 2024 and I'm almost 40 now. Chester and Chris still bring tears. Such a part of my childhood. It's insane they still have the effect so many years later.
The 2 legends that this world never forget rest in peace, my 2 favorite artists in the world and both were friends and both died in the same way, what misterious is this world🙏🏻
No need to apologize, most of us get emotional too. 2 incredibly talented artists yet so troubled, their escape was thru their music and we'll be forever grateful for that, thru their pain they have saved millions probably
You are just now finding these artists. And I love the emotion. Chris Cornell was the soundtrack of my childhood with Soundgarden, Chester Bennington was the soundtrack of my teenage years. I mourn them both, but Chris I mourn more. Soundgarden was an absolute favorite of mine. I was 10 when I dicovered them in 1994. Blew my mind. I have seen him in concert with Audioslave, and by him self. I had bought tickets to finally see him play with Soundgarden, the band he got famous with. I was so excited. And then 4 days before the show he took his life. I cannot tell you how heartbroken I was. I can still remember me sobbing over my computer reading the news. He was one of a kind. I'm just glad I got to see him live at all.

It is definitely sad to see them on stage together but know they are both no longer with us. Thankfully we have their music to ensure they'll never be forgotten. RIP Chris & Chester 🙏
