Easiest way to remove the door skin is to use a flap wheel on a grinder and sand along the edge until you see a crack appear then you can easily separate the the outer skin

If i am were replacing the door skins and partial rear quarters, i would have opted to use the 80 transam pieces instead of camaro, so i am could then use a one piece fiberglass tilt '80-81' transam front end. Then of course reinforce with kevlar carbon fiber and S glass. It would have the stock formula style vents in the flat hood that is built into the one piece tilt front end. That would be awesome. You could still do this also.
Honestly I'm about to get a 2 gen comaro and do a normal restoration for it and make it my daily eventually keep the good videos up I've also learned alot about body work just from watching the last few videos of this build
Hey bud little tip for the next door skin if you take an angle grinder and grind around the edges of the door and watch the edge as your grinding you'll be able to see it start to split once you've got it ground all the way around the door you can pull it off with your hands then just clean the small metal strip off the back side ive done many skins this way I can completely skin a door and have the new one on in abt 30 min if you have any questions please feel free to reach out
Yes using a flap wheel and it's really fast to and when you put the new door skins I used rubber dollies they cam out nice you still need filler though but very little your videos are good as good as you are with your work you don't use fiberglass resin short hair over your welds ? I never heard of metal glaze but what you using looks really creamy what brand or what is it I would like to get some thank you keep the videos coming.

y not just replace the door i get a lot of these cars for free . i just got 3 79 z28's for free all are rust free good clean bodies i am building one witch is a z28 rs t top then going to sell the rest of them even got a free front clip that is mint 2 have factory paint on them one has new interior then i got a stroked 454 with heavy duty 400 turbo and a borg 4 speed with all new clutch 12 inch with flywheel for the 454 all for free with 6,000 miles on engine . right now i am building a 68 pu with a 454 soon as it is dun i wil be starting a the camaro
