  • In this video, we disassemble the internals of an 1981 Camaro door, including the door glass, tracks, door handles, locks and rods. This video serves two purposes, It documents the process for when I get ready to put my doors back together, and it may help others. There are a few differences between the early second gen doors and late second gen doors. We will discuss those in a future video.

    they sell that felt anti rattle fuzzy felt material thru amazon, camaro central and many other places like Classic Industries. Not that it matters now this is a very old video but still great information for those needing it. I don't think you should ever save and reuse regulators. They are usually worn out and cannot be tightened properly. So always buy new ones in my opinion.

      You should be able to drill out the holes at use bolts, just have to make sure that they wont interfere with the regulators operation. You could also weld some nuts onto the regulator, and use a short bolt.

    I’m starting to get old paint and rust off my car. Should I sand blast, wire wheel, or use a die grinder? What would be best. It’s going to be a daily not a show car

    • @DoubleRRestorations
      @DoubleRRestorations  3 роки тому

      Jason, it depends on the car itself and if it has rust. I usually use a da sander on the sheet metal. A sand blaster can be damaging to the outer sheet metal. I have used the blaster on the door shells and frame rails. Eastwood has some good pads for removing rust/paint.

      Dirt2Mud, that's a tough one. I would call around to some of your local places first, just to see if they have any left over stock.
