    Hallo, can you please do the fade in of the sound effect you use on lower volume? I have bad hearing and need to set the audio high to hear you speak, but then the audio effect is incredibly loud. I hope you can do that in the future, vielen dank! Your modeling is really great.

    • @biberhunter_scale_models
      @biberhunter_scale_models  Рік тому +1

      It is. For me oils are easier to blend and build up in layers, acrylics are a bit more tricky here. But they are faster, so I prefer them for 1/35 figures.

    Congrats. Very good paint work. Diorama 5 stars 👌🏾. I like the “sad moment” when you must dirty the boots (I feel the same when I dirty the figure). We spend a lot of hours painting And then we dirty every thing. Congrats one more time 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾👌🏾

      Thank you very much 🙏 yes I always feel discomfort when dirty them, they look so sharp and crispy when clean, but that's just not realistic 😅 especially when placed in a natural scene, not in a city diorama f.e.

    Guten Morgen,
    erst einmal großes Lob für deine Arbeit 👌🏻👍🏻.
    Eine Frage?!!?:
    Lässt Du bei der Gesichtsbemalung die einzelnen Farben durchtrocknen bevor du die nächste aufbringst oder arbeitest du nass in nass das die sich auf der Oberfläche mischen bzw. in einander übergehen?

    • @biberhunter_scale_models
      @biberhunter_scale_models  Рік тому +1

      Guten Morgen. Vielen Dank für dein Lob🙏 Zu deiner Frage, mal so mal so😅 es kommt drauf an was für einen Effekt ich haben möchte, um Highlights und Schatten in die anderen Töne zu blenden mache ich es häufig nass in nass. Dann nehme ich auch kein Wasser zum verdünnen sondern Retarder, damit die Farbe länger nass bleibt und nicht so schnell mit harten Kanten trocknet. Für mehr Kontrast oder zum hervorheben einzelner Bereiche kann es aber genauso gewollt sein, dann lasse ich die Farbe trocknen. Ist vielleicht auch immer etwas Geschmackssache was man bevorzugt und wie es werden soll. Ich hoffe das hilft dir😅

    First of all I must say that your work is inspiring and I am following it step by step. I have one question: When it comes to outlining, do you use only retarder to dilute the paint? Or do you also use water or flow improver? And also, how much retarder, what ratio? Thank you in advance for your help.

    • @biberhunter_scale_models
      @biberhunter_scale_models  11 місяців тому

      Thanks a lot for your kind words, happy you like my work. For outlining I use only retarder, so the paint keeps workable longer and I can make corrections if needed. Of course you can use water or flow improver, but then the time to react ist shorter. Thinning ratio I would guess retarder 3 parts, paint 1. But that is often done by feeling and no law.

    • @biberhunter_scale_models
      @biberhunter_scale_models  Рік тому +1

      Hi. I mostly use the Winsor & Newton Series 7 00 I show in the eye painting sequence. This is my favourite brush and I paint most of the figure with it. And I don't use varnish at any time. Just let the layer you apply before dry enough and you can work with the oil/acrylic paint over that. Only thing I would do is a matt varnish as a finish as the oils remain glossy for example. But that is rare.
      Good luck again👍

    I state that I'm not a modeling expert, but allow me to make an observation on one thing: when the fold of a surface makes a shaded area appear, the shade already exists. If you color this area a darker color, force the shadow even darker. the result is therefore unrealistic. This is because shadows are created by light on surfaces and not by colours. If instead you force the color on the shadows and reflections, the effect seems to be that of a comic book.

    • @biberhunter_scale_models
      @biberhunter_scale_models  Рік тому +2

      Yes you got a point here. In my pov it's just that these small 1/35 figures don't cast very strong natural shadows because the folds are so small. So to increase them I chose this maybe more stylistic approach of increasing them through painting them in darker colours. Like this you can see them not only on photos or videos, but from a viewing distance when they are maybe in a not perfectly lightened display case. Same is done on for example tanks or vehicles where darker areas are shadowed with darker paints and opposite, to increase the contrast effect of light and shadows. Maybe not perfectly realistic, but a way create more optical interes on a piece.

    Nice job on the figures. They look great. I would spend more time on the landscaping by airbrushing the groundwork, dirt, and vegetation to get more subtle variations and muted coloring to not have the colors so bright that they overtake the figures on the display. More light and shadow coloring would be helpful here. Also, by doing this, you can tie the figures into the landscape better to make the display feel more cohesive.

      Thank you🙏😊 to the vignette, I made exactly these steps to get the colours that vivid, I like it and I think I brings some nice and fresh colours. The figures getting overtaken is to me part of the thing as they are as soldiers not supposed to stand out but to melt into the surrounding. I made a video to the vignette too where you can see the steps I made. But thank you for your thoughts🙏👍

    Very good watching and learning experience. Nice pace of narration and good music, and excellent videoing. You are a brave man painting the eyes last… hope to see more 1/35 figures from you. Maybe you could try some Tamiya, Master Box or Miniart figures which lack the definition of resin and are more challenging to see how your technique works, which I am confident it does… ah, just saw your Dragon German paratroopers 😊

    • @biberhunter_scale_models
      @biberhunter_scale_models  Рік тому

      Thank you very much, happy to hear you like the figures and video🙏 painting the eyes last is helpfull to get a better feeling for the viewing direction of the figure, and with oil paints there can't go wrong much. They are easily to remove.
      Happy you found the German paratroopers video. I will start with a diorama soon with several figures from kits like Miniart, MB and Tamiya, so this will be way more challenging again😅

    Ich baue gerade meine erste Figur in 1/16, auch ein Paratrooper in der Normandie...hättest Du da ein paar spezielle Tipps für die Bemalung usw, oder sollte ich da so vorgehen wie Du in diesem Video mit den beiden 1/35?

      Hallo, vielen Dank für dein Lob, freut mich das dir mein Video gefällt. Also in 1/16 kannst du die Techniken generell schon übertragen. Nur die Details wie Augen, Patches etc werden dann halt mehr ausgearbeitet anstatt nur angedeutet. Schau mal in meinen Kanal, da ist mein Büsten Projekt in 1/10. Die Techniken wie Pre Shading und Pre Colouring nutze ich da auch, nur das ich später mit Ölfarben weitermale. Aber da kannst du ja dann mit Acrylfarben weitermachen. Viel Erfolg👍
