Hi Becky! Just an idea for you for your other garden with the grass. Definitely use the weed wacker around your edges try and go all the way down to the dirt, then use a push mower put it on mulch setting and use a bagger. Have a wheel barrel or something handy to dump your bagger out. I did this for years and it works great. Less work less often, and most importantly you don't spread grass and weed seeds all thru your garden. The shorter you keep it the better so that bad bugs don't breed in the tall grass and then attack your berries. I love your hat! I've been wearing a similar hat for 20 years and it really works! Another great video!

Oh Mylanta! Now I’m so hungry for fresh rolls!! Lol I started making my own homemade bread and rolls when I was 18 yrs old, and had moved out into my own place. The only problem was that I still wanted to eat like I did at home, so with lots of phone calls home, lots of advice, & my Betty Crocker Cookbook, I taught myself. I used to make the biggest messes ever too! I’d make homemade chicken and dumplings on a weeknight, just because I needed the comfort food. Haha It did serve me well learning to cook at such a young age, & my family definitely benefited over the years..lol Now my own daughters are calling to ask how to make their fav comfort foods.:) Great job, Becky!! 👍🥖🌷

Becky, have you considered using the hollows in the cinder blocks in the old garden as additional growing space? I’ve seen people use them to edge their garden beds, and then fill them up and grow strawberries, herbs, etc…
If you end up with a bunch of French bread again at some point another way to use them is to slice them but leave the bottom crust intact (sort of hasselback style?) and then slather garlic butter between the slices. I wrap it in foil and freeze. Then I can just put the wrapped garlic bread on a cookie sheet and pop in the oven when I need some garlic bread. I do this with individual rolls as well for when I I just need garlic bread for 1.

Interesting process of testing recipes. You should consider, that the duration that the dough is frozen influences the result as well as the duration the oven is been heated before baking. I don’t think you will receive the same result with different starting positions with bread dough. As much as I like the idea of being prepared for convenience purposes, Not everything is worth the effort.
But carry on testing, It’s a lot of fun watching you 🎉

I have that hat too! I like the hole for my ponytail or messy bun. I did need another one that has a train to block the sun from my neck and upper back. Like you, I usually wear my long hair up and was getting sunburned on my neck when gardening.

That hat is adoreable. You look fabulous in it. The bow is the perfect touch to the back. Yes protection from sun damage is so important. I’ve been trying my hand at making sourdough starter and Amish bread starter this week. Can’t wait to see your best recipes
So I can use the starters with them. 😊

I think if you freeze already pre-rolled dough for the pockets they’ll be easier thaw and use.

I have that same hat for when I work in my garden! I like that it's velcro, so it is adjustable! I never used an egg wash on my French bread, I always smear butter on top as soon as it comes from the oven. I'll have to try the egg wash 😊 thanks for sharing!

Interesting testing process. You could use your baked bread for more freezer meals. French bread pizza, breakfast sandwiches, French toast, etc.

I love homemade bread, so they all looked amazing to me, but I see what you are saying about the perfect one springing back completely after pressing on it. Now we just need some homemade butter to go on a slice. Yummy! Mouth watering......

Hi Becky. I’m feeling inspired to make / bake bread. It will be the first time for me I bet your kitchen smells Devine there’s nothing like the smell of bread baking. It’s 11.20 pm here in England I should be asleep but all I can think about is bread. And thank you for your knowledge and guidance. 😊

Have you thought about making black garlic, it's so smooth and decadent. It's almost like eating a rich chocolate, the one I get from the store is a single head blub and it is the polar brand. So delicious 😊

36:18 Becky posing in her new garden hat. I replayed the pose several times. So adorable. I wish it was the thumbnail for this video. I have the same style hat I love it for walking my dogs but no chin strap. Which is unfortunate bc a gust of wind hits me and this hat is gonzo.
