Happy Friday Friend, I hope you have a wonderful weekend a head of you! -Becky
Thank you friend, wish the same for you and family!
You, too!
I ordered my garlic last night……. Thanks for the reminder! I am old and forgetful! Lol
You and your family, as well, Becky!
Thanks Becky, You do the same 🎉
I think Becky is the only UA-camr i know who uploads multiple videos a week and i love them all❤🎉
Absolutely!
Right on, I totally agree with you 🥰
I have two, but Becky sort of makes me drop other things to watch hers. My other fave I kind of wait to watch later. Just can't wait for Becky!
That's not true! There r others who loads videos more than one video a week! Just look!
Love your videos Becky and when Josh helps you ❤❤
I kind of appreciate this little shelf and how seasonal it is. We saw pumpkins put there, a gigerbread house, now colorful summer flowers. Just wanted to mention it!
Aw thanks!
I always check the shelf! It's the start of any project in the kitchen, for me. Once I've seen it, I'm like, "NOW we can begin!"
I thought I was the only one that loved that shelf!! My favorite was when the gingerbread house was there! 😍
Me too!! So sad....@@jodifinnegan4453
Becky I love that you don't sit and talk and talk. ,, like some gardening channels but you show us by doing, that's why in my opinion your channel is the best one❤ keep up the great work!!
Becky I have been here from the early days and can say that I I still love your content and dedication. I continue to learn new things from you everyday! Tank you! ❤
Wow, thank you! You have been so supportive or the years and it means the world to me :)
Same here!
I enjoy so much about your videos. I really love that you don’t put music over the quiet moments. Makes me feel like Im Right there with you
For the yeast, put in your fridge/freezer to prolong the shelf life. We do this with the costco one. Once we open it, we put it into jars and into the freezer, but keep a small jar in the fridge to we use it up and grab more out of freezer. Always worked well for us and it doesn't die.
We do the same. Always have a new bag of Costco yeast in the freezer and the container of open yeast in Tupperware in the fridge! Lasts a very long time.
I always do the same.
@@sandrab4394 yep same.
Just getting into the video, one thing I’ve learned is when counting days to frost and days to maturity for a crop when planting in the summer for fall, you should add like 50% more onto it because days are getting shorter not longer now, versus planting in spring. Especially the latitude we are at in the PNW we lose daylight faster. Thought I would pass on. 💚
Make sure to keep your yeast in the fridge or freezer. I tend to keep a small thing in the fridge and refill it from a larger container in the freezer. That helps keep it good for way longer.
A must!
Becky, you've inspired me to start gardening and cooking from scratch. I love watching your videos to just soothe my nerves lol. So thanks!
That warms my heart so much! Thanks for sharing that with me! - Becky
Me too!!!
I can't use canned soups anymore to make a quick meal. I actually have learned how to water bath and pressure can my broths, etc. I love it!
After cleaning garlic for 25+ years I find it’s easier to use a heavier duty scissors that are spring loaded. I tried using my good garden shears but they were a little too heavy but found something in between. The gloves you used are great.
thats good tip
So cute when you patted each loaf of bread! Labors of love.
If you lay all those cut snap dragons on the beds near the bees, they will probably self seed for next year x
We are here in Hernando County, Florida. Prepping for the incoming weather on Sunday. Bottled water is gone from the shelves in every store, please pray for us.❤
We are right with you here in Pinellas County!
Prayers for everyone in the path of upcoming weather and any future ones.
Prayers. I live in eastern NC and we are suppose to get that storm later the week. I hate hurricanes
Praying 🙏🏿 for Florida
We are here in Largo Fl. Pinellas Co. Also
Becky, my uncle grew the best fall carrots. He left them in the ground until the first freeze he said the freeze made them sweeter. Might want to try it.
Omg, 75 degrees!? Sounds heavenly! 🙃
Was thinking the same with my Texas weather!.lol
I wish!
Right!! We are burning and suffocating in Louisiana lol it won't be below 100 all week
I just picked up my phone and saw that this video was here, I smiled and in my head said "Becky "!!!!! Love when u release videos!!!!
And you could put a light blanket over the potatoes if a freeze is coming before they are done growing. Just take it off again the next morning when the temperature comes back up.
Bread comes out of those pans beautifully with very little olive oil on the bottom. No need for parchment. I love those pans!
Can’t wait to see you and your dad digging up the potato bed. ❤
I agree with Becky's Dad, harvesting potatoes is like digging up buried treasure. It's my favorite thing to do!
Snapdragons lull in the heat but flush back when the temps come back down.
Love your enthusiasm in all you do! I have always cut my seed potatoes so there are one or two eyes in them before I plant them. Gives you a lot more plants and a lot more potatoes ! I was taught this by a farmer a long time ago. I’m 80 yrs old and have planted lots of potatoes lol!
love your excitement, I'm the same in garden. it's amazing how God provides these blessings!
When figuring out harvest time; You need to add germination time to the days to maturity and then make sure you have enough time before the first frost date. Example: If carrots take 10 days to germinate you add 65 days to maturity and your actual harvest date will be 75 days minimum. Hope this helps.
Maybe not put so many beans in one line overcrowding does not help
That bread looks delicious. The garlic looks amazing. Now I want garlic toast with a sprinkle of cheese on. Thanks for sharing your day with us ❤.
❤ the little pat pats on the bread before the cling wrap. 🙂
Watching you this evening. You amaze this 72 yr old. Love your videos!!!!
We love you Becky! Thanks for the constant uploads ❤
You are so welcome! Thanks for the support by watching them! Means the world to me :)
Your excitement and love for everything you do, is so infectious 💓
The view at 8:45 behind you is beautiful. If that’s not your property, I sure hope no one ever builds on it. It’s stunning.😊
Id love to see a whole video on the different soil ammendments you use abd why. Thanks for sharing always!
Happy Friday, Becky! To keep the potatoes from turning green, hill the potatoes with more soil when they start to push to the surface. Have a great weekend!
I have to say, that you also inspired me to cook from scratch and start gardening. Your garden is so beautiful. I am watching you videos for years and it is insiring to see your different experiences with cooking over the years. I am trying more thing in the kitchen, because you thought me how to do it. Thank you!
I so enjoy your videos! When I am in the kitchen, you are there with me. So sweet. Thank you!
I am so surprised that you didnt save the seeds from the snapdragons, especially with your success with starting so many of your flowers from seed. Hopefully you will get another flush of blooms and be able to save seeds and have another beautiful snapdragon bed
Such a happy day whenever there is a new Becky video! Love "spending time" with you in the kitchen and the garden. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you! You too!
I love to watch potato harvests! I can't wait for the big one!❤❤❤

Her dad always says he’s digging for “gold.” I love that.
Love spending time with you…..sooooo relaxing❣️ I’ve never had a garden so I love to learn about growing and harvesting. I don’t like to cook so I enjoy watching someone else cook. No room to store in my small townhouse so I love to watch the storing process. All the things I don’t do….LOVE to watch you, Becky❣️❣️
Becky. Turn the garlic heads stalk side down in chicken wire to dry. (How about using your grow shelves? It will create a good air moment.
thats what I do to dry my garlic:)
You have got the most ideal weather for planting and raising food. Wow!
You have such beautiful flowers growing in your beds, especially the snaps. Loved this video. Until next time…………
Wow you are just one very busy woman sharing time and energy and recipes and gardening and crafting. Love your videos and you as a complete joy to watch on your beautiful homestead. ❤just saying the obvious to all your viewers 🎉sincerely appreciate you
❤ the multi tasking getting things done approach Becky has. 😊
My carrots stay in the garden over winter and then grow on in the spring and I pull them in the spring
Where do u live? I get snow
@@painiacs83 South Carolina zone 8a. We don’t get much snow lol
Time to unwind with Becky 🎉
Fantastic completions on all your projects! Thanks & blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
Hi Becky. You make breadmaking look so easy!
I would a link to the dough mat. I know I can order one, but I'd like one that's been tried and is best.
I absolutely love to do food prep meals. I love your instruction and find you amazing. Keep up the good cooking!
I can see that you love what you do. It makes my heart happy
So much fun to see your joy in what you do. Makes me want to be more intentionally productive.
Such a beautiful garden
You can use rose pruners to cut the garlic stalks and snap dragons❤
You need to get that rhubarb in the freezer!!! Or make jam, pies, or a coffee cake!!!!
Happy Friday! If my husband was still around to watch your video, he’d say that you didn’t put nearly enough jam on your sandwiches! He claimed that the jam needed to be as thick as the bread!
😂
Your garlic looks beautiful! Right along with your bread.
510am Saturday morning Australia time perfect way to start a Saturday.
Plus, if you let the cilantro go to seef it becomes coriander, and the immature coriandor seeds when green are also beautiful stems cut for flower bouquets 😊
Love the excitement when you found the potatoes!!
Love digging potatoes. Like digging for gold
Blue Lake are my favorite bean, I just bought a Greenstalk so that I could plant some.
Snap. I just planted blue lake beans in my garden. I'm in south-east Queensland Australia. Getting to the end of winter here and spring is a brief affair. Then it's summer till winter begins again.
In one of your recent videos (before this one) you mentioned your yeast maybe needed to be replaced with new yeast.
My bread hasn’t been doing as well either. So I too got new yeast and it made the biggest difference in what I baked today. All because of you. Thanks.
Keep it in a cool place, like a fridge or freezer. ;)
@@TheEmbrioI didn’t know you could do that. Thanks for the suggestion. ❤
Becky, do you keep your yeast in the freezer? I use King Arthurs Instant yeast and that’s where I store it. It is still going strong almost 2 years later. I use it straight from the freezer and even though it’s instant yeast, i still allow it to bloom in water, sugar and a half cup of bread flour for 10 minutes before introducing the rest of the ingredients.
This is off subject, but I have to redue my entire front and back yards. I am going to purchase a snall greenhouse so that I can grow my own flowers to plant in boxes and planters each year. Thank you for the inspiration!
If you like the flavor of yeast, consider adding it to quick bread recipies taking into account how much if any life is left in it.
Becky, dear, I hope you are focusing on all the positive and kind comments today. For some reason quite a few people are being bossy and very opinionated today. Not used to that in your comment feed. You are a kind, energetic person that does an amazing job sharing your life journey with us. Thank you!
Have you ever heard of people feeling a little bit jealous that is all I'm saying.
I hear you on the flowers for the bees. Our cilantro bolted while we were on vacation and the flowers it produced have been buzzing ever since.
Hi Becky, there are different “groups” of snapdragons. Some do prefer cooler weather and shorter days, but some like the Potomac series are “main season” varieties that do fine in more heat and longer days. 😁
FYI: it is not advised to prune determinate tomatoes such as Romas. Since they grow to a determined size, just let them go...the plants know what they're doing.
Carrots are known to be sweeter if picked after the frost😊
We enjoy thanksgiving and Christmas carrots, plucked from the snow!
You can use rose pruners to cut the garlic stalks! ❤
I learn so much from you. Grateful you share your knowledge with us. ❤
I was looking for the strawberry concentrate recipe and there wasn't a new video and then i started looking more into her recipe and i find this new gem
Pray for Florida
Becky if ypu keep harvesting your green beans and do not let them ripen the seeds, pods they will have a second wind so to speak . Just keep picking the few beans till they flower again.
Yep I usually get 3 picking off the plants before pulling them.
I hope you beat your frost date! I'm 45 days from mine! (But last few years has been 3-4 weeks later...)
Happy Friday Becky, have a blessed weekend.
Thanks Becky and yes I enjoyed this video makes me more motivated to plant more next year. ❤
Thank you so much for taking the time to put up this video. You just helped me so much with my timing for fall planting and also problem solving for my garlic! Thank you !!!
Do look at boy scout tarp-tent designs and consider an expiremental plastic tent over a bed/ part of a bed. Im guessing you could extend your season on some crops for 2 to 6 weeks; others longer.
Thank you. Blessings
Keene garlic also sells their own garlic fertilizer
Hi Becky I just want to say thank you for actually showing us when you actually plant things. I just planted carrots today myself for my 1st time but I hope mine grow since I kind of just scattered the seeds. I really enjoy how you do things especially when you're cooking. There's another utuber who when cooking is always touching her face n her hair is just hanging down. To me especially if your showing people to cook at least tie your hair up. So again I really appreciate how you do your stuff. Go Becky Go Becky😊
I love fingerling potatoes and we have grown them for several years. I plant mine 6 to 8 inches deep, per instructions. I hope yours are not planted too deep. They are great for roasting in the oven or tossed whole into pot roasts and boiled dinners like corn beef and cabbage etc.
What were the "Major Changes" ???
Becky, you are amazing! Your energy is awesome! I really enjoy your channel. ❤
I really enjoy your videos Thanks to you I’m growing vegetables and flowers for the first time
Nice rhubarb! And that mostly black bumblebee is new to me. Thanks for sharing
It’s strange to hear you going to make a garlic braid when your previous video was of you braiding the garlic and flowers.
Going too grow Snapdragons next yeas .Learning from your flower adventures.
I could honestly watch Becky 4 hours. Never boring!😊
So excited for the fall garden too! Your flowers are so beautiful! Love all the sweet bees 🐝 Your bread dough looked amazing! It baked up beautifully and the peanut butter and jelly sandwich looked delicious ❤ -Toni
Hello beautiful Becky! So excited to watch your video 🎉🎉🎉
Hope you like it!
Hi Becky, that bread looks delicious and soft. Your video was educational as usual, have a great weekend.
Thanks Becky, its always a pleasure to watch you're videos!
excited for tonight live....
You need to get on top of those beds with a garden fork and give them a really good turn over as you are only using the top few inches, give them a really good fertilizing aerating the soil will help grow your crop.
This could be so, but MI Gardener says to disturb the soil as little as possible. So I guess there’s two schools of thought. I haven’t done any deep till in my raised beds. Fingers crossed I made the right decision😊
Becky, I just found you! I love that you cook with everyday ingredients that most people have in their pantry. You are easy to follow and inspire me to cook more. I LOVE learning from you and will subscribe and follow you for more inspiration. THANK YOU!!!
You need some felcos! They make life so much easier and way nicer on your hands instead of kitchen shears
I love watching your enthusiasm when you cook and garden. Makes me wish I could do over the last 60 yrs and grow up to be you.
Another great video. You keep me motivated. Thank you. Blessings to you and yours. ❤
Becky, if you keep your yeast in fridge it will last a whole lot longer. I have always kept mine in the door of my fridge. Never had an issue with the yeast going bad. Use straight from fridge.
I have started a little veggie garden after watching you and it makes me so happy. I harvested some cilantro today and planted some lettuce seedlings
