God, his apology sounds like he's delivering it to Chris Hansen "I was just lonely, when you're lonely you're willing to do inappropriate things" How many times was that said on To Catch a Predator? Probably once an episode.
Callimara has been following this whole thing and made a video the other day summarising what happened from the perspective of the victim, and its SO much worse than what Alex here has been describing it as. Like, he got the victim to make a written apology, with him directing her with everything he wanted her to say in that apology post. Just for his video. Its abhorrent.
@@Etest432How is it disrespectful to call someone vulnerable? You realize that vulnerability is a *normal thing* that humans experience, right? And since she was a victim of grooming and is in contact with her groomer, calling her vulnerable isn't wrong.
@@ryancarson6962 this is Etest432, my reply keeps getting deleted so im using another account: you're right, vunrabilit is sacred thing and since it is sacred it needs to be respected, the only one responsible for deciding when to share vunrability is the person themselves, so Calimara should have gotte Jane's consent to being called vunrable in public, by doing so without JAne's consent is basically Calimara assumes Jane's OK with it py and therefore disrespecting Jane, in JAnes perspective if she tried to reach out and explain her side of the story Jane would be seen as someone as since they are vunrable any positive things about yandev is just JAne being maipulated, Calimara wanted to respect JAne's privacy then she could have explained manipulative tactics and how anyone could potentially fall for it and how that can lead to stockholm syndrom or guilt. (im not saying that JAne wasn't manipulated but Janes side needs to be said by Jane herself) if Jane was comfortable with being called vunrable, then perfect, but if she wasn't then Coileen was speaking for JAne, what if Jane wanted to be called a survivor? Jane would then have their voice taken a different way, or if she called herself vunrable then at least she can explain her side of the story which comes before not only Calimara but also Yandev since she is the victim she needs to have her say first and foremost she also has every right to represent , if Calimara made a honest mistake then thats OK but either two things should happen: Calimara should show the entire discord convo with Jane with Janes consent, or Jane should produce her own statement independent from Yanderedev or Calimara, as her own perspective as victim comes first, before anybody else in situation, calimara should not have unintentionally spoke for Jane neither Yanderedev

Callum, quick thing to note: When people on the wordpress comments for this video asked for his side of the screenshots for the snapchat conversations, he only brought up the discord screenshots saying: "My Discord account was disabled, so I no longer have access to our conversations. I can’t present receipts". However, he never mentioning the snapchat ones or providing proof on his side of things. Also he never left the internet to take a break, instead he moved over to Guilded (which as many know, is created by the same people who made Roblox. And along these lines, you can sign up to join his server with a Roblox account) and has been active ever since the first statement he release. I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt and waiting for both sides to be released, however when he's purposely twisting the facts.. I don't know what to say.
Yea same, I don't really know that much about this guy besides this video and that he was terrible to work with developing the game; it seemed like a genuine apology but it also seemed like he was using the truth to lie if you know what I mean.
@@ArDeeMee exactly this, I was watching Calli talk about it, also looking through archives on the Osana subreddit has a lot of evidence too (if you dig deep enough)
The thing is that techniques designed to expose groomers only work if they’re used on groomers. Nobody forced him to go along with it or say whatever stuff he said… he could have blocked her or just said no thanks, but he didn’t want to, he wanted to have those conversations and wanted to participate.
What a creepy guy. He is deflecting. The whole picture: his "game", the way he financed his doll and the grooming, he needs monitoring. About the social difficulties, there are very welcoming chatchannels even on Reddit. He choose a young girl because he is scared of adult women and doesn't have a spine.
is this the dude behind that weird yandere simulator that used to be popular or no? cause if so i dont think a single persons surprised that its as sketchy as we thought lol
With the victim's apology there's evidence that Yanderedev made them write it and a lot of the written apology is pushing blame and discrediting both the victim and the youtuber who exposed this. A youtuber called Callimara went into this and how the guy and a friend of his are trying to bury the situation and manipulation.
Seriously? We’re barely 36 hours into the new year and YanDev is “apologizing” for new abhorrent behavior? I feel like Mr. Incredible at the start of Incredibles. “We just cleaned up last years mess! Can we just keep it clean for more than one day? Please?”
I’m pretty socially inept too, but somehow i manage to avoid inappropriate conversations or relationships with minors. It just meant I spent a lot of time alone, but now I enjoy being alone (as well as with others!). You have to learn to be ok being alone. I’m in a much better place today than I was all those years ago. He would be too if he was as interested in self improvement. There’s no magic to it, you just make small incremental changes and one day you notice how far you come.
at least he didn't blameshift like Coileen, this is Etest432, Callum stop deleting my comments i will repost all of them and a fair constructinve argument is better than holding a bias
The context only sounds bad, except when you, age 35, ask the 16 year old to transfer their conversations to Snapchat so that nobody could bring up a chat log later.
Reminder that since his initial blog post, Mahan has created a Discord guilded server (on an alt account to evade the ban Discord levied) where he is STILL interacting with underaged fans. He is also still heavily moderating the comments on his UA-cam, his Wordpress, the Yandere Simulator Reddit and the guilded server to remove any criticism or mention of the allegations. He is also still manipulating and abusing the victim, along with his music producer (who apparently has also been sexually harassing the victim). If he truly wanted to be held accountable, he would be offline entirely and not censoring his online spaces to only have unwavering support for his actions. And he would leave the victim alone completely. Also NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING if the voice actors and animators hadn't quit the project. His initial statement was to put the blame on the victim entirely, say she 'flirted' and colluded with Ally to make him look bad. EDIT: as of 07/01, it's been alleged that not only does Mahan know where the victim lives, he had made plans to meet up with her at her home address prior to the video coming out. Keep in mind that there's audio of him asking the sixteen year old if she would be the one to finally 'take his virginity'.
he admitted that he wqs insecure enough to even talk to that individual to do that even with the knowledge he admitted it and it was better than coileen or most who underexaferate or try to bury truth
I definetly trust the moral standards of OF from a 35+ groomer who debated the sexualization of high school characters in his game because it was a fictional world, as well as using said underaged undergarments as currency. His only real objection to OF is it's 18+.
Most of his fanbase said he needs to remove the undergarment thing because it's creepy. And he still insists on leaving it in and expanding the system. I wouldn't trust yandere dev to be the arbiter on any moral question.
@@SaM-us9gk I actually don't object usually to fictional video game teenagers because usually they're like the late-20s "teens" on old teen dramas--they bear no resemblance to real teenagers. I don't think anybody who worked on Danganronpa, say, is necessarily a predator. But I can't figure out why this guy even has a "fanbase". He acts like a creep and this has been known about for years. He hasn't managed to complete a game given a decade, he hasn't had a publisher in *six years* now. Why is anybody even giving him feedback? At this point, not that I'm not blaming him for his part in it, but I think any adult who willingly continues to engage with that "game" and community needs to take some responsibility for being part of the problem. It's so gross to act like the problem's some adult-oriented game mechanics and not the actual mass enabling of a narcissist. It wouldn't actually be any better if there was a creator with this sort of history engaging with real teenage fans of the teenage girl murder game if only no fictional underwear was involved.
the sad thing is that the core concept of the game has merit. not the weird skeevy stuff yandev has put in, or the skeevy ways he's chosen to deal with, uh, certain anime tropes; but just the idea of covert, hitman-style gameplay in an anime high school. theres a juxtaposition between saccharine anime aesthetics and dark, gritty gameplay, which the game's UI builds on. there's the trope about how everything that's interesting in anime happens to high schoolers (due to how that setting is convenient for certain story structures). there's room for satire and dark humor. hitman itself has intentionally silly kills (e.g. the wine press; exploding rubber duckies; muffins), and an anime-style game could bring anime-style silliness to that. but, y'know, it had to be worked on by _this_ guy.
The toothbrush demonstrates you can even mess up asset flips. He obviously didn't model it himself, so he just bought a super high poly model without realising. Just zero effort at even a basic level.
I saw it, and honestly at first thought it was one of those parody videos that would end with a happy new years message or some shit. That's how much these fucking apologies have screwed everything up
Two days into a new year and Callum drops another video. Starting this year by hitting the ground running. Also Yandere Dev still being around. Well now that's something I really did not expect to see.

@@Etest432 How is him not bringing up the fact he said "I would hide your nudes" and "talking to you is 90% legal" only to instead say he was manipulate by a child in a manner similar to a police sting operation him "maturing"???
Life pro tip: "are you making an OF?" is never the right question to ask. Even if you're a sex worker talking to colleagues, "do you have any plans for diversifying your income?" is how you get the same answer and maybe also learn something you hadn't expected. If a 16 year old says something concerning and you don't want to just block them, explain why you find it concerning and ask what caused them to bring it up (just on the off chance the cause is something you need to help them get help with). Doing things this way will also make it a lot harder to make you look bad by taking what you say out of context.
Life pro tip: have no conversations with minors period. You aren't their parent and will incriminate yourself regardless cause the alternative you proposed means the same thing. You simply contact the girls parents and tell them of the girls behaviour or contact child protective services. You aren't their parent or guardian so any interactions you have will only paint you as the villain.
@shatiquego9876 Yeah, that seems insane to me. With the amount of positively vile shit that can be - has been - stopped by kids having a trusted (and trustworthy) adult to talk to, I really don't understand how we ended up with refusing to be someone kids can talk to being some kind of virtue signalling. It's not like pedophiles are going to stop. All this does is make it less likely for kids to have conversations with anyone who doesn't want to abuse them. Because otherwise you "will incriminate yourself". Thank fuck I didn't grow up in a culture like that. Edit to clarify: obviously the context of someone creating content sexualising teen girls talking to a teen girl who is a fan of theirs changes things. In case that wasn't obvious to anyone.
@@shatiquego9876 You mean to online-stalk them until you doxx them? We‘re talking about complete randos on the internet here, you‘ve obviously never played any kind of online-multiplayer. I don’t know the home address of ANY of the randos I was in a guild with. That’s not how this works.
@@ArDeeMee bro what are you talking about? The conversation is about parenting other people's kids and discussing sexual content with a minor. All of which are big passes for any man over the age of 18.
A few times I’ve had someone underage send me inappropriate messages and I just say “sorry, you’re under 18, I’m not interested” … and then block them. Can’t be messing around with even CLOSE to that line
I think its unfair to say he was just flatly a bad developer. He never wanted to learn how to be a good developer; he's a fundamentally incurious and egoistic person regardless of any paraphilia he might have. I don't have much hope he'll grow very much from this. Quick edit: i trust nothing yanderedev says, but if people are harassing the young girl in this then they need to stop, no question. I don't even know why you would do that to begin with, or harassing anyone else in his project.
I had friends in their 20-40's in my preteen because I was a child playing WoW but I sure the hell don't use that to justify talking to minors. 30+ man trading DMs with a random minor alone sounds bad out context let alone allowing it to go sexual. Key to that is he allowed it to by continuing the conversation.
Yea I remember being like 14 and doing arenas with people who were probably 25. Really all it takes is for people to behave like people and treat each other normally
Yandev is just digging himself deeper and deeper. I could just tell that this was going to be one of those non-apologies filled with half-truths, deflections, and revisionist lies. And my prediction came true when he started crying about his mental struggles. This bares repeating; being in a bad place emotionally or mentally does not excuse your actions, especially when you've been outed on predatory behavior. Of course he would try to frame it as "The internet hate mob being out to get me", becasue that's the kind of narcissistic behavior people like Yandev exhibit. Like you, I wonder why this guy hasn't been on some kind of watchlist?
at least this time he did take responsibility for his state in 2017, stating that he allowed himself to deteriorate to that point, so atlaest he is taking mord responsibility than other conventional ones as well, it is edited so chances are it is delibrate, also when he claimed that it was photoshopped, he should show the whole discord screenshots instead of what is already posted for proof thay nothin perverse happene, now at least this time he is not focused on recovering yandere sim and fully accepts the fact that he wont have a reputation again, focusing on his love for his project, so this is better than before, but if you agree what everyone is saying, cool, but dont do it to follow the trend of not associating with yandere dev and do it of your iwn opinion of the subject wihch i respetc your opinion personally rather than thde social conformity
Alex: "Out of respect for all the people that have actually been groomed, we should use the world 'grooming' correctly. Grooming is when an adult tries to establish a relationship with a child in an attempt to abuse them...I didn't do anything like that." YOUR HONOR, PLAY THE CLIP!
"I don't want a relationship but if you want to send me pictures I can fap to, that'd be great." Caught in 4k. Snapchat recordings. Knowingly asking a 16 year old girl for naughty pictures for his sexual gratification. Case closed.
I understand, i get the video, and agree with it. Now for some scary facts and i need to be careful because if you say wrong things you get a 24 hour silent treatment in the comments. None of this would be illegal in Germany, all of this would be OK at age 14 or above. To turn the scary up to 11: In 2023 there was a controversy about Rammstein, and mainly about the singer Till Lindemann. There were court cases, he got off, but the court still wrote down the findings in explaining the decision. The court said it is established that he, over 60, did the thing with a 15 year old, and i do not mean the thing in a chatroom but the thing in an actual room with furniture involving sheets and such. He got off because it was not illegal. Now there is a crowd running around saying he did nothing wrong because courts looked into it and he got no punishment. Meanwhile the court findings say he did that, and more. Basically he got off many times.
> We should use the word groomer correctly Ok GROOMER. There I used it correctly. Out of all Lolcows Chrischan will always reign supreme but this guy is getting up there.
So YandereDev is a huge creep, obviously, but I actually don't think the thing he said about having had adult online friends when he was younger was that weird. Back in the aughts the main form of social organization on the internet was forums, where you would get a moderate-sized community of people all interacting in a single open and public environment, and I feel like people were less anonymous back then and more open about what their actual ages were and so forth, and there were people of all ages on these forums and there wasn't really even the means to segregate the teenagers from the adults, so yeah, people who were teenagers in the aughts probably made friends with some adults on these forums, and it all happened in a public moderated environment and that was considered normal. I won't say there was no one I talked to on forums in the aughts as a teenager that I probably shouldn't have been talking to, but my relationship with most of these people was like my relationship with my older relatives, or my favorite high school teachers, it wasn't creepy at all. I feel like kids being "friends" with adults online now has a completely different connotation, because most interaction now seems to take place in DMs, or small private groups that aren't public or moderated, I think the only real open forum type place left now is reddit, and reddit is a completely different place than the forums of the early aughts. So I don't think it's a red flag for a guy in his 30s to say that he had adult online friends as a teenager, but he definitely should have known that an adult making "friends" with a teenager via DMs is completely different than making friends on an open moderated forum.
A lot of these things are half truths, but what I did see is that this is like, an endgame to the situation I am in now where I am lonely and socially isolated. So, in short, I gotta fix my shit before I end up like this guy
The UA-camr Vaush has some really good videos on fashion and how young men can learn to socialize. Tip number 1: Leave the house every day. Tip 2: Attempt small talk with strangers. Have a topic that is wrapped up in two sentences. Tip 3: Failure is part of the process. Remember how often babies fall flat on their face until they are able to walk. Walking in this context means „not panicking“. He‘s also got really good content on fashion. The video a few days ago on Reddit tearing some poor guy to pieces over him asking for advice was heartbreaking… followed by good info that’s also relevant to us girls. Definitely give it a try.
I feel this comment man, realizing that is a good step, and working to make social connections definitely helps. Just find people with common interests/hobbies localy and see where things go. Also yes vaush does good content on masculinity that's not based on bizarre grind/hustle content
There's people who are lonely or otherwise don't have friends and positive relationships, but that doesn't force them to turn into creeps. YandereDev talks about it like it was some kind of unavoidable force of nature that happened to him. Saying "I did it" isn't taking responsibility if it's constantly followed by "but it's because of things that happened to me"
Ok so I have nothing against having older friends online. In my teenage years I had friends in their 30s and friends in their teens under my age. However the key point is that it never at any point became romantic or sexual in nature. That is where the line just automatically was. I should note that what we did chat about was mainly video games, books and movies, and just random stuff that came to mind. Plus now we are all in our late 20s to 50s so... yeah.
Agreed, I always had a hard time as a kid making friends my age. Sure, I got in some situations that maybe were a little creepy. But I would have been very lonely without older friends.
I am really misremembering the launch of Yandere Simulator. Maybe I had a weird taste in UA-camrs, but I remember the game being received quite well initially. Callum says the opposite was the case though, so who am I to trust my memory on this.
I mean it was covered by UA-camrs like PewDiePie but that hype died down quickly due to lack of progress with the game .. I wouldn't say it was badly received but people got frustrated which is totally understandable lol
It wasn’t released , it was a billion beta versions of the game that were all a poorly slapped together mess that ran like shite. The initial ‘gameplay’ in the first months was decent, but he proceeded to never add nor progress the game update wise in any meaningful way. Basically made his supporters his lifeline for the past decade or so.
@@e-man4155 Sorry, with launch I meant the public launch of a version of the software that was usable, i.e. when the first early access build released. I should have been more clear about that. I don't take early access as a concept seriously and honestly don't give a fuck about "official release dates" for early access games. The game "launched" in my eyes when the public could first play a version of Yandere Simulator.
It was well received. Callum, like many others, are letting his reputation taint their memory of the actual history. What made the community turn against YandereSim was the absurd amount of time it was taking to develop, which after a point saw people starting to dive into the code and learn how poorly it was actually made. Then YanDev's own history and bad behavior started to bubble up to the surface and public opinion against him and the game fully soured. In the beginning YandereSim was almost wholly positively received, just because the concept was so novel and back then we weren't used to indie devs actually turning cool ideas into a reality. Post indie-boom, the starry-eyed magic is gone.
@@Exotac yeah that is a solid look back at it, I have some bias becuase I remember playing it with friends and literally finding near 0 fun things to do. But it was pretty well recieved initially.

I heard yandere dev told that girl to rewrite that statement. Also to put it in perspective, this is an ADULT having sexually charged conversations with a CHILD and blaming the child for his behavior.
This would have been a solid apology. Had he actually been truthful. He answered only to the least horrible allegations, and refused to address the snapchat DMs, which were the worst out of all the evidence. The girl didn't admit to faking them either, and it was her Ally got them from.

well as far as I know he severed connections to tinybuild before this drama. and allegedly he bullied volunteers out of the project. Regarding the other game "made in two weeks" it was also just an attention drama for the other person. They did take longer than 2 weeks, probably several months, and afaik dropped development after everything was forgotten. (I mean that everything in yandere sim can be done in 2 weeks might be still true for a professional)
That Yansim game, Love Letter, that took "two weeks to build" was canceled due its creator also being a creep towards minors and harboring other predators in his server. The resulting blowback pretty much caused the game to crumble to dust.
I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. I saw the real-time recording of him gaslighting and bullying his victim into retracting her accusations. I used to work in audio and while absolutely there was some editing on the recordings of him, it is only to remove what's known as 'dead air', silences where nobody talks. He IS a creep and a predator and his desperation to pretend that he's not is pathetic.
There is also a strong belief that the vitctim was forced to write her statement the way she did. Callimare talked about and pointed out a lot of evidence the things she said was more how yanderedev talks. Along with them more or less controlling her actions.
I've been gaming online since I was 13, & while I've met some great people & occasionally discuss irl stuff with other gamers that I talk to frequently, sex has never and will never be a topic I discuss in such a setting. There's really no call for it whatsoever, especially when the other party openly admits they are a minor.
That was absolutely one of the worst apology videos I've ever seen. There were so many ways he could have said he screwed up without making it look worse for him.
As sad as it may be. I know the feeling in what he's trying to convey. Im. Not excusing him, god no. But... knowing that what you're doing is dodgy and atill lacking the mental strength to stop yourself, Or even juat the clarity to back away... is a feeling akin to feeling trapped within yourself. All adictions are awful. But, at least with substance abuse... the only person that you're hurting is yourself. With this? This is just sad It just reminds me of the quote "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" He was never aiming to be a bad person. But he still failed to stop himself when he realized that he was one. I honestly dont know how to blame him. Someone needs to have a strong mind to resist... well, himself, Honestly. Snd he just wasn't
His entire video can be summed up as "I knew it was wrong/bad/illegal but I did it anyway". He says many times that "xxx was a red flag" but then continues on anyway. Which means one of two things a) He is lying to cover himself or b) He is the dumbest person alive. Red flags are called that because they indicate you should stop. Sure in the heat of the moment you can argue you miss some red flags due to love or whatever but to say you recognized them at the time and ignored them is insane. One or two maybe, but the fact you say it half a dozen times means I find it very hard to believe that you werent a willing participant in this.
These apology videos is hilarious and disgusting. Because its them throwing piss and shit on the wall until something pulls you just alittle bit to slightly change your opinion.

i feel bad for him. he is a lot like chris chan i feel like. he's obviously maladapted and doesn't know what's appropriate until someone points it out to him. i would say that means he needs his platform taken away and he needs some serious help in the same way chris-chan should have been taken away from the internet to reduce both the harm to chris-chan and the harm chris-chan has caused others, especially their mother. yandere-dev needs to be taken away from the internet before he ends up doing something a lot worse.
If you get behind the wheel drunk and cause a fatal accident, do the cops let you off because you "never intended to kill anyone?" No, regardless of your intentions you face the consequences of your actions taken. Either way you slice it, whether intentional or not, this underage anime girl video game creeper engaged in illegal behavior involving a minor. Someone get Chris Hansen in here to explain this for the 57th time.
That was a surprisingly competent apology video for this ancient lolcow given his usual track record. Of course, with a heavy wiff of manipulation and apparently allegations that were not even addressed. It's kind of wild to see someone go "yep I did that thing I'm accused of" like a few seconds in.
The only way this apology would have helped is if he had ended the video with “I am releasing all the game files as open source and leaving the project, and the internet, for good.” 3 months of a self care break is a start, not a recovery. I hope he does find the help he needs.
He hasn't been offline for 3 months. He created a guilded server within his Discord 'for adults only', but there's nothing in place stopping younger fans from joining. He's still on there, interacting with fans he knows are too young, on an alt account because Discord banned his main due to the allegations. He's also as of writing still heavily censoring comments on his UA-cam and Discord and WordPress. The video itself is ratio'ed to fuck (if you're using plugins to see the dislike number), but you wouldn't know it based on all the comments supporting him. He's also still in contact with the victim and coached her to write that statement denouncing Ally. The girl he abused is being manipulated by both him and Cameron his music producer, getting her to defend him so that all the people who quit the project return. He's a liar, end of.
the guy saying "she was under 16 but" sorry right there if you have to put a "but" after someones age then no you need to stop and imidiatly appologise to the person and leave and drop all contact with them imidatly, the most you do is try and tell their parents they are contacting older people so their parents can tell the child how to actulay behave. there are no buts, ands, or ifs when they are younger than you you have imidiat duty of care and as the older person need to act like a senseable adult and treat them as a child meaning do the exact opposite of treating them as a potential love intrest, best thing to do is cut all cotnact and report the persons account as underage is they are on a site/game/etc. as being underaged -.-
i hadn't any idea about this guy- heard the name yandere simulator once i think and was like "eh"- but i *was* on tumblr in the text based roleplay space before Yahoo's takeover when i was over 18 and there were a few times i would be RPing with under 18s and they'd bring up something sexual and i'd say straight up "no, i'm not talking about that with you". if they kept going, i dropped them as a partner. i had no issue telling a story with a teenager, i was a teenager with stories once! there's no harm in establishing your boundaries when something comes up the first time. and then stick to those boundaries and cut contact if it happens again
This video made my day, I laughed so much at your comments :D However, Callum, don't give this guy the privilege of the second most documented persona, because it's surely Onision who should take it.
I have to give credit where credit is due, despite all its flaws, it's one of the best apology videos I've seen recently from controversial youtubers, at least from a structural point of view. At least he goes "Sorry I did bad things, I'll try to do better" instead of the common, gaslighting way of "sorry you felt this way, give me more money" some other YTers decided to do. I see an inkling of potential for growth, which can't always be said in these cases. If he will follow it up and actually become a better person or if he'll get back to bad habits, only time will tell. I still think he isn't worth to invest into, but if he manages to take all this mess his life became and turn it for the better, good for him. On a side note, people should really stop forging evidence to take down controversial figures. If they're doing something bad, it WILL come out. Forging stuff only helps bad people in the long run.
He forced his victim to write an apology letter, dictating everything. He isn’t worth your good faith. Unless you also believe Collen Ballinger, in which case you must think sending children lingerie and making them wear it on camera is fine, as well as talking sex techniques to them, and venting about your divorce to them, demanding they give you advice. Children. Just all around grade A behavior.
But this isn't that. There is actually evidence that he forced his victim to write that document and coach her on exactly what to say, meanwhile there is also evidence of what he did with her and others. Forged implies it's fake and the only thing forged here is stuff he's done
Silver lining is that for whatever reason, he decided that admitting to doing exactly what people are alleging would help somehow. He's an idiot and most reasonable people are going to react how you did 20 seconds in. That OnlyFans question is horrible btw, even with the context he supposedly thinks makes it better. The only context where that could possibly be okay is a parent asking their child out of concern.
Yeah, this all feels like deja vu. Maybe he's just now responding to what happened last year? Bc even the girl going to another UA-camr and then recanting is familiar. She then admitted he pressured her into it and dictated what she said

@@SaM-us9gk honestly at this point it's better that he's no longer really working on the game.
the sad thing is that the core concept of the game has merit. not the weird skeevy stuff yandev has put in, or the skeevy ways he's chosen to deal with, uh, certain anime tropes; but just the idea of covert, hitman-style gameplay in an anime high school.
theres a juxtaposition between saccharine anime aesthetics and dark, gritty gameplay, which the game's UI builds on. there's the trope about how everything that's interesting in anime happens to high schoolers (due to how that setting is convenient for certain story structures). there's room for satire and dark humor. hitman itself has intentionally silly kills (e.g. the wine press; exploding rubber duckies; muffins), and an anime-style game could bring anime-style silliness to that.

Or you could use your words and tell them that they probably shouldn't do that - not to mention being a counsellor or smth@@shatiquego9876

Callum is the king of dev-cringe commentary! What ever happened to those goofy E2 goobers btw?
Yeah id love to know that to 👍
if i remember correctly the NPCs' code also had this "if else" with their files containing every NPC possibility and a random generator picking what would be active
I heard yandere dev told that girl to rewrite that statement. Also to put it in perspective, this is an ADULT having sexually charged conversations with a CHILD and blaming the child for his behavior.
My gosh, it baffles me that yandere dev can live on by drama alone
The over polygon issue also affected FFs MMOs originally.
Worst attempt at the UNO Reverse Card ever
Idk how to explain precisely why but the dudes voice sounds like it's an AI voiceover for one of those scam game ads you get here, it's so so weird.
Its not cancel culture-ish if digging up past posts is proof that someone as a person hasnt changed at all!
This would have been a solid apology.
Had he actually been truthful.
He answered only to the least horrible allegations, and refused to address the snapchat DMs, which were the worst out of all the evidence. The girl didn't admit to faking them either, and it was her Ally got them from.
did he mention in vid that he will adreass all of them ijn time, this seriously will be my last reply but if im wreong and he didnt mention that in his video then cool
"I started going out of my house and interacting with other human beings." If you were NOT doing this before you were on the way to, if you had not already developed, serious mental problems.
YandereDev turned from a sensantion into a lolcow in record time.
Im pretty sure the girl admitted that she only made that statement defending him because she admitted that he contacted her and basically emotionally blackmailed her into defending him,
All my favourite blackmail accusations start with "I'm pretty sure", all of them. I definitely have a type.
I love how the next video will be about someone getting cancelled online and you'll all act outraged ^-^
@@SLRModShop what?
Ok, the version for dummies then: I'm pointing out the fact that you're all trying to cancel someone here based on internet hearsay. You're basically pulling a SJW on this guy when the truth is, you only have shaky evidence and character assassination to go on.
By all mean, go on, he's clearly a creep I've never heard about before, who's buying sex dolls and making games for creeps so I don't care. But let's call a spade a spade here: you're all acting like leftists here. You're trying to cancel a guy, hoping he'll kill himself for your own entertainment. Again, I'm fine with that, I just don't like the hypocrisy of it all.
You'd feel right at home on twitter. That's what I'm saying, you're not better than your run of the mill leftists psychopath.

How his scam has kept going this long is beyond me
Full disclosure, before I learned of his shady history etc I was a fanof sorts of is his "game"
I will admit this: When it was announced it was kind of an interesting game. However in the... Oh god... Decade since development officially started... A lot has happend.
Yea the game actually could of been a really cool thing I feel like, then he just started adding this extremely weird shit that had nothing to do with enriching the game or providing any kind of social commentary to match the fun of actually playing@@CommissarMitch
@@CommissarMitchyeah, when the development started, I was within the age range of the girls in the game
well as far as I know he severed connections to tinybuild before this drama. and allegedly he bullied volunteers out of the project.
Regarding the other game "made in two weeks" it was also just an attention drama for the other person. They did take longer than 2 weeks, probably several months, and afaik dropped development after everything was forgotten. (I mean that everything in yandere sim can be done in 2 weeks might be still true for a professional)
From what I remember, he severed ties with TinyBuild because they wanted to overhaul the coding for YanSim.
Maybe he will be able to finally learn programming in jail.
Terrible apology, but dude probably doesn't know how to play the ukulele so there was only so much he could do, I guess.
He is using his destruction online for being a predator as an excuse for not working on his "game", I got to give it to him that is innovative.
He‘s been doing that for an entire decade now, same old, same old…
There is also a strong belief that the vitctim was forced to write her statement the way she did. Callimare talked about and pointed out a lot of evidence the things she said was more how yanderedev talks. Along with them more or less controlling her actions.
"... even though I didn't traumatize or victimize anyone..." That's not for you to decide.
Now that's a voice I've not heard in along time.
He is a walking charisma nat one.
And a nat one on the wisdom save just after that.
@@elnalaombrebois5665 He’s just a crit fail I’m every stat
30:20 Check your bingo cards for "I'm sorry you feel that way"-apology.
At least he apologized for the grooming, I guess.
No no he apologized for "Inappropriate conversations" with a 16 yr old
Totalllllyyyy different from grooming!!!
Undertale has a giant switch statement for the dialog so amount of lines doesn’t make a game bad
Wonder who will win the Apology Video Awards this year.
I've been gaming online since I was 13, & while I've met some great people & occasionally discuss irl stuff with other gamers that I talk to frequently, sex has never and will never be a topic I discuss in such a setting. There's really no call for it whatsoever, especially when the other party openly admits they are a minor.
2024 barely started and we already have an apology video. About a serious thing no less… This year is going *great*
That was absolutely one of the worst apology videos I've ever seen. There were so many ways he could have said he screwed up without making it look worse for him.
Omg he made a shitty UA-camr apology. What a great way to start a new year. Hate and shame 2, the fans have been waiting for a sequel for years.
Watching this after Calimara’s video just highlights how disgusting Yan Dev and all those who still hang around him are.
With this? This is just sad
It just reminds me of the quote "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" He was never aiming to be a bad person.
Because its them throwing piss and shit on the wall until something pulls you just alittle bit to slightly change your opinion.
he took responsibility unlike other youtyubers and accepts that he wont have reputation again
@@Etest432 No he didn't. He said a bunch bullshit. That tickled your ears. He admits knowing he's awkward and has a problem. NOW he's going to stand up and change? Today he is going to stop being his old self, and be a new man. Brand new. People like to be clever. He's not going to change. He will have another apology video. Maybe 2 before the year end. He's clever. We're not.
at least he didnt care about his repitation as much now as he did before he took responsibility at least, sure its edited so he may be lying but it is alot better formed of apology than most last year
@@Etest432 Cope and seethe. I‘ve seen you fangirl all over this comment section, and you are not doing yourself any favors.
@@ArDeeMee im not much of a fan (yansim too cheesy) but his apology was honest and not a PR stunt, but if you want to make a point actually try to make one rather than labelling me which says nothing
i feel bad for him. he is a lot like chris chan i feel like. he's obviously maladapted and doesn't know what's appropriate until someone points it out to him. i would say that means he needs his platform taken away and he needs some serious help in the same way chris-chan should have been taken away from the internet to reduce both the harm to chris-chan and the harm chris-chan has caused others, especially their mother. yandere-dev needs to be taken away from the internet before he ends up doing something a lot worse.
Yeah, the apology definitely could have been better, where was the ukulele solo?!
That was a surprisingly competent apology video for this ancient lolcow given his usual track record. Of course, with a heavy wiff of manipulation and apparently allegations that were not even addressed. It's kind of wild to see someone go "yep I did that thing I'm accused of" like a few seconds in.
The only way this apology would have helped is if he had ended the video with “I am releasing all the game files as open source and leaving the project, and the internet, for good.”
3 months of a self care break is a start, not a recovery.
How is this even possible that you write code that uses if statements.
I hear that game had very bad scripts but I didn't realize this bad
“I'm not a perfect persoooon.
There's many things I wish I didn't do”
The statement from the girl seen at 12:20 is known to have been written with YandereDev's involvement. He basically told her what to write.
This video made my day, I laughed so much at your comments :D However, Callum, don't give this guy the privilege of the second most documented persona, because it's surely Onision who should take it.
Anything to keep in the spot light and keep his name out there.
Is it me, or he sounds like every TTS software ever?
The only context where that could possibly be okay is a parent asking their child out of concern.
man, this year has started off strong
Didnt he already get in trouble for this once? I could have sworn ive seen this same apology before.
Yeah, this all feels like deja vu. Maybe he's just now responding to what happened last year? Bc even the girl going to another UA-camr and then recanting is familiar. She then admitted he pressured her into it and dictated what she said
YandereDev really be speedrunning that life sentence.
Need I point out that it’s only the SECOND DAY of the year…….THE. SECOND. DAY!!!!! Oh my god on a pogo stick. Definitely look this guy up…..
This isn't the worst apology video out these, though. Not by a significant margin
Can we get an update on dreamworld maybe?
And the Earth2 scam, and that big guy with his small desk, what's his name arya realty, i think😊
