Check out Coppe Pan Japanese Bakery at Melbourne Central - on the train station entrance level - lower ground I think. There katsu sandos are pretty good too.
It's so good the way it works. Wish they had more around. Hawaii, would love to visit there especially with the kids. I think it's a great family spot.
Wow that's a lot of choices there, need some days def in Melb to experience Japanese foods only, the black ramen looks super good, and yeah that special black mystery powder is gold!
Yayy Don Don, a favourite option during university time haha Udon Yasan is also our favourite, we miss eating at the restaurant, especially after gym dinner time. It’s been a while since we visited the restaurant 😢
Ahhh Japanese food!! One of the most favourite cuisines in the world 😍 Never heard of Kokoro sushi train restaurant before, we should definitely try going there. Thanks for the recommendation!
Mmmmm sushi train 🤤🐟 what's your guys favorite sushi piece? I'm gonna guess Tina's is soft shell crab from that reaction. Hero of ramen 👍 the mystery is resolved the powder is pork pepper 🤤 dang katsusando looks 🔥 gotta try that. Bento boxes are a nice way to finish this off, lucky y'all have a decently priced one in Melbourne 7ish is a bargain. Cheapest you'll find here are $11nzd. Looking forward to the desserts video 👍
Mine (andy) would be Tuna but in Japan, quality and texture is amazing. yeah that ramen is dish the most popular according to them. Special black powder mystery haha. Have to admit it's not easy to find such cheap dish in Melbs. Most cheaper foods are around $10 aud similar to 11nzd.
Shujinko is our fave ramen in Melbourne although the last ramen we had was at Ippudo and it was pretty awesome too - expensive but. Our favourites in Sydney, when we live there, were Gumshara Ramen (truly awesome) in Chinatown and Ramen Zundo at World Square. But when we went to Sydney last year we went to the new Gogyo in Surry Hills - and it was pretty damn fine too. Tokyo At Home on Elizabeth St have legit imported Castella cakes but I really want to try that sesame one.
Now those are amazing sandwiches. My sandwiches never look like that. It’s great that you can have the Japanese experience there in Melbourne. What a great deal!!!!
Ramen was my college food of choice. Only a couple years ago did I discover fancy Ramen in NY. And it was a 2 hour wait also. 20 is a good endorsement.
Ooooo nice we will have to look out for it next time we in Sydney. But that might not happen for a long time 😭 six weeks lockdown here in melbs! Stay safe!
One of My favorite foods is Udon. Udon is a white noodle made from wheat flour. It is thick and soft. We can make noise when eating these noodles. Slurping when we eat hot Udon helps prevent us from burning our tongue
Udon is soooo good, my kids love them too so it's win win for the whole fam lol Didn't know it helps also to prevent burning our tongue. Thanks for the tip!
The sandwhiches from St Dreux is a bit hit and miss to us. We haven’t tried the egg sandwich, we only tried pork katsu and wagyu beef katsu which was a bit of disappointment for the price 😅 We definitely miss trying their castella, next time we have to try it! The black sesame looks legit cool, like a black box, perfectly cut 👍🏻
Fantastic video! Thank you for making this! I was interested in getting into Japanese food and didn't know where to start. Have added these restaurants to my bucket list.
We're so happy to hear that - thank you so much for your kind words 😊 There are so many more, we're actually considering making a second part to this focusing on Ramen. Happy eating!
Thanks Rahim for the suggestion. We will add it to our list of videos to make for Melbourne in the future. Might be a bit hard at this stage with all the lockdown now coming back. Play it safe and not go out as much.
Gosh Japan travel blues, us too🖐🏻😭 Genki sushi is really cool, the sushi train just stop in front of you 👌🏻
lolll it's so sad not being to go. Yeah the sushi train stop is awesome! so much fun seeing it whiz back and forward.
Check out Coppe Pan Japanese Bakery at Melbourne Central - on the train station entrance level - lower ground I think. There katsu sandos are pretty good too.
I just googled Coppe Pan and boy that looks legit sooooo good!! Another awesome one. Shane you're on fire 🔥 hahaha thanks once again.
St Dreux - been seeing this all over the IG, blog etc. Definitely will try this too 🤤
Ez we will take you lol
That bowl at the end is definitely a great value! thank you two for sharing! even it was killing us! haha see you guys again for the next one! :)
Really like the efficient service at those udon spots. Also quite cheap! Marugame Udon was one of the best spots we went to in Hawaii
It's so good the way it works. Wish they had more around. Hawaii, would love to visit there especially with the kids. I think it's a great family spot.

Ahhhh... sushi at Kokoro sushi looks really good, no wonder it's in your top 5 list! Matcha mochi! I love anything matcha!

Hello fellow Melbournians! Thanks so much for this review!! I have tried most of these places, but can’t wait to finish off the list! 🤩
Yayy Don Don, a favourite option during university time haha
Udon Yasan is also our favourite, we miss eating at the restaurant, especially after gym dinner time. It’s been a while since we visited the restaurant 😢
And the worst part is we now have to wait so much more longer 😭 Stay safe my melb friends!!
We only tried the famous ox tounge don at Menya in our last Melb visit, would love to try that Dondon too!

Damn, so many awesome Japanese options. So cool there's a ticket vending machine at DonDon. Completes the while experience
Really want to try that Black Sesame Castella, hmm we should find one here in Sydney (if any) haha
i think there used to be one in burwood
I like your new element of the green screen. We love sushi!!! What a transport train, that is amazing. Why is this not in the U.S. So high tech.
There is a Genki Sushi, I think it's in LA though. Wish there were more around. kids love it lol
Oooooou UDON NOODLES!!!!! so yummmy, we're crying.

Oooooo that sounds interesting! Will have to check it out.
We LOVE soft shell crab!
Yesssss it's the best!
The Ramen looks amazing, do you guys have an ICHIRAN in Melbourne? We have one in NYC but we're no where close to that haha
Ooooh I've heard of this place! unfortunately we don't. Wish we did, only heard good things about it. We can only dream of it for now 😂😂
Hangry By Nature right?! 🤣
All aboard the sushi train!
Imagine surfing on it. probably wouldn't be able to support my weight LOL
Ramen was my college food of choice. Only a couple years ago did I discover fancy Ramen in NY. And it was a 2 hour wait also. 20 is a good endorsement.

Sorry have no idea. You'll have to see for yourself.
Fantastic video! Thank you for making this! I was interested in getting into Japanese food and didn't know where to start. Have added these restaurants to my bucket list.
