Thanks everyone for voting on our Instagram story last month when we asked about what video to make to celebrate Chinese New Year this year. Hope you guys enjoy this best eats in Chinatown video. We'll see you guys in the next video! 😊
Haha that’s nice to hear that guys paid attention to our expressions 😁 That sichuan food is really delicious, been while since we visited that restaurant 😍
Starting the meal with chicken feet, yums!! Ahhh I miss having dim sums and my yum cha sessions. Ooof those xiao long bao, pork, prawn or chicken, give me them all! Love all those hong kong pastries, pineapple bun and wife cake, oh gosh, it's been so long since I had all these!!
Can't miss chicken when eating yum cha for sure. Shanghai street XLB is really good, must have when visiting Melbourne's Chinatown. Yup, those HK pastries are super nice, love them all 😍
The street decoration is soooo beautiful. Ramen!!!! Lieles would divorce me and marry ramen any day lol Happy lemon boba tea! If it is called happy, it has to be great!
Omg the tonkotsu ramen!! The charsu slices yums! Vegetarian ramen is realy interesting, but I would definitely go for my meat haha! Happy Chinese new year guys!!
Mmmmmm. Bakery is my type of stop for sure. My wife loves spicy food so I bet she would love that Spicy soup you guys tried!!!. I love Bubble Tea. Meeting up with Hungry Black Panda next week to get some Bubble Tea!!!!! Thanks for sharing your Chinatown!!!
Thanks for watching Carl!! Haha yeah baked goods and sweet stuff are really good, aren't they! That's cool that you're meeting with Vic next wee, please say hi to him from us.
Perfect video for this week! We were going to get some Chinese food and then we got a snow storm! Hahaha Yes to dim sum. Great way to start the tour. Never seen those prawn toast. Yes to the rice roll too.
That’s right! Perfect video celebrating lunar new year this week 🤗 Oh no snow storm! Hope you guys stay warm inside. The yum cha selections at that restaurant are really great, delicious too! 🤤
Lol damn the fish in the hot oil was screaming hot right off our screen, sad it wasn't quite as spicy though... Those prawns though... That would be our jam.
That's what we thought too when they served it in front of us, until they took out most of the dried chilies and we tried it and found it's not that spicy. I think they should keep the chilies in the bowl haha. Yup the sand prawns are really nice, good for non-spicy lovers 👍
Yess, miss Melbourne's chinatown so much! We wound up spending a good amount of time there in just our few days in the city, really so many good spots!
Haha I used to get Happy Lemon like 3x a week like 4-5 years ago 😂 Pretty sure you're supposed to sip it at a 45 degree angle instead of using a straw, make sure you try drinking it that way next time!
Those Shanghai noodles are right down our alley. Great spread with the dumplings. And that bakery looks dangerous. We've been looking for that pineapple bun here in Chicago. No luck yet.
Haha yup the bakery looks dangerous, we actually gone a bit overboard with the cakes we bought haha Oh maybe you can find pineapple bun in Chinatown too in Chicago?
Thanks so much for the kind words. We love Melbourne food scene a lot (that’s probably why we chose to live in this city hahaha) and will be exploring Melbourne food deeper 🤗
Sichuan house dishes look amazing. Fish flavoured eggplant sounds really interesting, always a fan of eggplants. AWwwwh Golden sand prawns!! Anything that says "Golden", can't say no to salted egg yolk! Probably Ony's spicy tolerance got better, need more spice for her next time :P
The China town in Melbourne looks great 👍 if we're there we'll definitely be hitting up that yum char spot. The custard tart y'all got looks pretty tasty too 😋 but yo the pineapple 🍍 bun is the star! Mmmmmm cheese foam is the greatest hahaha looks so good.
Chinatown in Melbourne is very iconic. I would say one of the best looking ones in Australia (only have been to few ones in other states though). The CNY decor makes it even prettier this year. Hahaha bubble tea with cheese foam is the best! 😍
Another great video guys. I live near China town and will have to try your recommendations. Are you guys Indonesian? I thought I detected an Indonesian accent. Love your videos!
Yesss that Golden sand prawn is to die for. Happy Lemon’s green tea with salted cheese foam is really good, isn’t it! Their most popular one in the menu 👍🏻
Miss Chinatown so much. When things are back to normal can't wait to go back when things are back to normal. Didn't realize that Australia had their own Chinatown!!!!! I don't think I have ever tried chicken feet before. You guys ate a good variety. You guys hit so many places. The Stam Xao Long Bao are my favorite. Never had the prawn. You guys are really introducing me to different things on this episode.

The milk tea looks and sounds so delicious! I remember when I first heard about the cheese foam I found it a bit of a weird combination but now I'm obsessed with it!
Was disappointed they run out of the egg yolk custard buns, it's always a pleasure to eat them at yum cha. We tried them before at this place and it's so good!
Happy CNY guys!! Chicken feet, shumai.. oh man, big meal! The steamed dumplings though.. I got my eye on those 😋❤ Maxims cakes look delicious.. the perfect treats! Ahh tonkotsu ramen!!! I'm sure it's great too! I just had that a few weeks ago too!! Green tea to wash everything all down! Great episode guys!
Cant believe you didn't go to Westlake for yum cha ,, best yum cha hands down in Melbourne ..baked pork buns to die for ..you guys need to do your research , obviously not from Melbourne
Lol not including Westlake doesn’t mean we didn’t do research. Our research and experience eating yum cha in Melbourne didn’t give Westlake as top place for yum cha. There are better ones obviously in Melbourne in our opinion. We understand different people have different opinion and prefered places. This video simply to give our viewers our version of recommendations. Oh also we’ve lived in Melbourne for more than 15 years 🙃

Xiao long bao are my favourite!! And demonstrated the correct way to eat them. I used to put it in my mouth and it would burst everywhere!
Hahha it's easy to just eat in one bite because of the size and you can be bothered to tear the skin apart. Just need to be careful when it's hot! :D

Omg the tonkotsu ramen!! The charsu slices yums! Vegetarian ramen is realy interesting, but I would definitely go for my meat haha! Happy Chinese new year guys!!
Haha yeah vegetarian charsu is perfect for non-meat eater.
The real charsu would be always better for meat eater like us haha.

Aaron really likes chicken feet but it's quite hard to find them in the UK unless you go to a specific store 😄
Ah, you should be able to find them at yum cha restaurants, maybe in Chinatown too? 😊
Just to let you know that Mr Ramen San shop address should be 12A, 200 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
Thanks for the correction! You are right.
We have corrected it in the description box 🤗
Wife cake 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
Unfortunately there is no husband cake for husbands, I think?! 😆
