Such a great food city. I still remember the Greek food we had at a restaurant in Melbourne's (rather large, I think) Greek community. Yum. I love pandan and I love pear, so you would have both had to give me a bite of those beautiful pastries. Thanks for the tour. 🙌😘

Go to Parkmore in Melbourne and there is a dumpling shop inside the mall. Forgot the name though but it is the only dumpling shop inside that mall, and it's awesome!!!

As a retired Food Writer who has lived in Melbourne for the last 20 years I think I have earned the right to make the following comment respectfully. I think that Melbourne has to be careful of not just resting on its Parmas by catering almost exclusively to the 20/30 something still (relatively) fit and healthy population. Australia will within the next couple of decades be in the grip of a pandemic which will dwarf Covid - diabetes, high blood pressure, fatty liver disease and heart disease. All driven by the preponderance of sugar and high carb cuisines and the huge prevalence of processed and take away food. Surely there should be room in Melbourne's diverse culinary market for more and better plant based, organic and low carb eateries. After all Melbourne is only potentially a highly liveable city if you can manage to stay ALIVE!
Having been lucky enough to spend some of my earlier life in France, Agatha Patisserie - the best French patisserie in Melbourne (allegedly) is still only as good as any average Patisserie in any provincial town in France.
