Hello doctor. My 18-year-old son suffered a haemorrhagic stroke when he was 16yrs. Since then, he has been on physical therapy to help improve his foot drop and wrist drop.
Watching this video,I believe this treatment will help him recover faster.
How can I reach you please. My son is in Canada. I would really appreciate your response

Nerve hydrodissection is a treatment for peripheral nerve injury, it will not help with weakness from a brain injury.

hi, a lot of physicians say hydrodisections are useless because the body just reabsorbs the solution that was injected around the nerve causing the compression to return. This makes sense to me as any solution injected would not stay around a nerve indefinitely separating the tight muscle fascia forever. are you able to share some thoughts on this ?

      @rickjensen2705 3 місяці тому

Most physicians don't use PRP as the sollution. PRP releases growth factors to help heal the tissues that have been damaged by the compression. Also the compression after the Hydrodisection is not as tight. Just watch as he does the disection how the tissues is very tight and holds to the nerve. Once that is released it is not stuck to the nerve any more.

@@rickjensen2705 but that doesn’t address what was causing the compression the first place. I understand PRP or platelet lysate can heal the nerve heal due to the growth factors but I doubt it doesn’t anything to help the compression and if most the results will be temporary. The root cause of what’s caused the compression has to be addressed otherwise the compression will just return damaging the nerve again

Amazing. I was diagnosed with Parsonage-Turner syndrome 6 months ago. Got my shoulder mobility and strength relatively fast but still struggling with my wrist and fingers on my left side. Would the PRP work as well since in my case there wasn't any trauma? Dr. said my problem was autoimmune 😢

Nerve hydrodissection with either dextrose or PRP can be an effective treatment for a brachial plexus injury such as parsonage-turner syndrome. It may take several treatments to resolve the weakness.

@@doghot7405 Thanks. It has been almost 6 weeks since I got wrist drop. Now I have almost full movement back in my wrist & hand again but it's still a bit weak. My doctors & physio say I'm doing well. I got radial nerve compression while sleeping. I hope you are now doing well too.

Nerve hydrodissection with PRP can be an effective treatment for wrist drop from a radial nerve injury. This needs to be done by a nerve injury specialist who has experience in scanning nerves with an ultrasound. Radial nerve injury also needs specific rehabilitation to regain function. Consider coming to our nerve injury clinic in Estero (Southwest Florida). you can schedule a video consultation: integrativerehabmedicine.com/fort-myers-naples-cape-coral-fl-neuropathy-treatment

Nerve hydrodissection with dextrose may be adequate for a saturday night palsy (mild compression of the radial nerve). See my other video on wrist drop.

    Very interesting.
i'm a neurologist in south korea. And i also work as a primary pain physician in orthopaedic regenerative clinic.
Doctor can i ask you that if we use other injectant such as PDRN , Laennec , or just conventional dextrose prolo to treat nerve injury?
because, in my country, PRP is not allowed to use other than tennis elbow. if you have any experience of other injectants that is known for some regenerative potency?

I sometimes use 5% dextrose for nerve hydrodissection of less a severe nerve injury, it ca also be effective, check out the other wrist drop (radial nerve injury) video I did with only dextrose solution

Thank you doctor. you mean the simple nerve hydrodissection also could be helpful for the nerve injury?
i did it only for nerve entrapment , but i couldn't think it could be some effect on true neuropathy.
Thank you . all of your videos gave me good inspirations to improve my treatment. I hope to see you personally in someday.

I offer nerve injury (neuropathy) treatment with PRP injections in Estero Florida (in the area of Naples, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, SWL). You can schedule a video consultation to discuss if you are a candidate for PRP nerve hydrdissection. If you are a candidate, you can consider flying to southwest florida for a treatment. The patient above flew from Poland for her treatments.
