Does every frequency spectrum mid high low has to be same volume to have a fuller mix?
I would like to thank you Devvon.
Every single one of your videos is the formula. I have several questions I will ask a few.
What interface do you use?
What resolution are you recording at?
. Other than the Neve what else do you use on your mix buss?
I am currently using an Antelope orion synergy core and I am very dissatisfied with it. Primarily what I am missing with it is top in. I used to use ARME 800 and I loved it when I can pair mixes from the RME to the Antelope the Antelope sounds muffled same song same mix.
Do you do consultations?
Last question for now I am looking at the lynx Aurora.16 Ch AD/DA Or Apollo 16Ch hexa core.
I use a 16 channel passive Summing mixer powered by Neve 1272 with an API 2500 hardware on the mix bus.
The Antelope orion synergy core converters are not crisp it’s like 30% of the mix is covered with blankets.
If you do consultations send me an email with a cell number I will gladly pay you for your time and knowledge. Again I greatly appreciate as an older producer you taking the art form to another. level
great music and great engineering skills etc. Appreciate you

Which DAW do you use?
Please put out a course and Pro tools certification class
and SELL IT! So I can help fund this channel
i’m 80% of my way through a bachelors degree in audio production and this man teaches me way more than anyone else
I agree with all of this!
i was interested into getting a degree too, is it worthy ?
@@ivanmalco get it for status & networking

It's crazy how you've taught me almost everything I know. I'll keep continue to grow and improve myself. I'm forever thankful to you bro
Real talk
Bro this guy is real I really like him
Help me Devvon is my favorite show on the internet. This man is a gift from god
Bruh, my stuff sounds 10 times better now with your tips than when I was recording before I heard of you!! I literally went and re-EQ'd and compressed some vocals on some old recordings I had did using tips I got from you and they just sound worlds better. thank you so much!!
i understand everything so precisely Devon this shit so under-rated, we need a mixer who does not just do other people's vocals, but YOUR OWN Vocals! we're not tryna make beats or produce, we tryna learn how to mix our own VOCALS!!!!!
it's kinda rare for a engineer to teach you how to do vocal mixing....because they're all focused on making beats
you really gotta look at the eq and listen to yourself. Its the only way to get a custom mix thats perfect for you.
bro what? do you know what an engineer is? their main purpose is to mix vocals. producers make beats
no dooode there's different type of Engineers in Music Production itself....let alone REAL Mechanical, Software, Electrical Engineers in real life...
the main purpose of an "Engineer" is to mix vocals....hella false my ninja
does a master engineer or acoustic engineer "main purpose"...is to mix "VOCALS"???? no i dont think so!
FIRST OF ALL
YOU SHOULD BE THE FIRST ONE to know how and stylistically mix your own vocals...
so you can at least have the English to talk to an engineer when you pay for their services you know what you want
SECOND if you want to keep the style of the beat PURE then send stem vocals to the Producer that MADE THAT BEAT ITSELF! then let HIM Mix YOUR VOCALS....to HIS OWN STYLE OF his beat instead of a third-party unless you know them and did your homework and have a significant amount of experience using mixing services of all sorts including your own
@@jasonchu4400 bro I had a stroke trying to read that
I need a “stay with me” T-shirt ASAP!!
Sir 🧐 wtf is a "T-shit"
He'll lead you to the promised land if you let him. #BlackAudioMoses
I didn't even think I needed to watch this. Now I feel like I just had a revelation and I'm about to go re mix all my projects. Critical breakthrough every time. Thankful for you, bro.
Litterally was ready to buy a new microphone unitlll I heard this, thanks man
When i started mixing i used to cut too heavily at the low end of the vocals - i've found a mixture of low-mids cutting & the "mud" region of 200-400hz to be a better solution. as well as some multiband compression, subtle stereo imaging and a touch of waves doubler all help give vocals that full sound. nice video!
Man , you a blessing Fam, the actuality of you sharing the knowledge you learned yourself to us, is a blessing bro, I’ve learned so much from you over the past year, it’s crazyyy!!!💯🔥much love BroGod !!!

Damnnn bro that analogy before the eq part about loudness and perception made my mind click!!🔥🔥🙏🏻
It’s good to keep listening to the vocals in the mix too.

This is extremely helpful
thank you! devonnnn
This helped me a lot, thank you, subbed:)
Thanks for the help.
Lifesaver. Thank you.
thanks devvon ❤️❤️👍🏼
I learned a new thing today that was brilliant, it thickened the vocal up at the click of 1 button. Pressing the phase invert on the EQ made the vocal thicker, only slightly but enough to notice the difference.
Bruh you amazing. Just liked and subbed!
You da man bro!
Dope song feeling that hook
Interesting how i see this now, i did that to a vocal today. Its a good trick for real✌🇯🇲
He got the passion and the gems seriously how does this channel not have like 3mil subs
