Just started Channel 009Glory I just 500 subscriberss UA-cam Shorts grows you subscribers but dips you raw vid views whenever u get enough watch hours try an go full in on shorts to complete monetization
Would you say, you took time to prepare the in the in advance, and built up a back catalogue of content to post daily? Or have you been creating daily and racing to shoot and upload? Halfway we get the sense that you make each one over a couple of days. Just curious to know how you manage the grind. Great to see someone talk about their experience, and to be able to relate to it 👌 keep it up bro
I have a long list of video ideas that I've put together like 2 months ago and continue to add to any time one pops into my head or I gather inspiration for something or get a hunch that something may get clicks. I wake up, decide which one to tackle and start writing, then I'll shoot and usually have edited by next day, I'll schedule upload for the next day at a time where a lot of my viewers are online. I'm probably going to transition to less frequent uploads, instead of 5 a week or so maybe 1 or 2 a week. I'll probably spend an entire day just writing as many videos as I can and I'll have a dedicated shoot day and edit day. I'll probably structure things like this moving forward
@@TOMMYBMPthanks for sharing such a considered and detailed reply Tommy, very interesting. I’m finding myself at this crossroads of how preparation affects the videos I produce. I understand the need for volume and frequency grow, but I’m also trying to understand the role/value of narrative long term (to a channel). I’m trying to understand if it is worth it in the long term to produce narrative structured content, or maybe, to what extent should I focus on and prepare narratives. So when thinking about prep, I’m curious to know to what extent are creatives prepping, in addition to scripts are people shotlisting in detail? Do people break their video into chapters and have an intent for how they want each chapters to feel/what purpose they should have. And if people are doing that- how do they film so many videos at once and keep it all organised. I find that for myself, I need that story arc structure, but I’m experimenting with improvising shots whilst in the situation. I’m experimenting not having a script (just using bullet points). It’s a very interesting thing to study, the methodology of film on UA-cam 🤔
I'm doing this while having a 9-to-5. Talking about things I'm passionate about: Tesla cars, philosophy and my corporate insights, struggles and learning as a 45-yo dude who climbed to the top of the ladder. Cheers!
I currently manage mutliple YT channels, some for creators, some for brands, some with 100 subs, some with 350k subs. I can confirm your numbers are awesome for the first month of continuously posting. Feels refreshing to see someone talk about realistic numbers when so many "gurus" try to act like YT can be easy. Agree with the long-form vs shorts, long-form is way better for community building + YT metrics, keep up the grind sir.
Just started uploading 3 to 4 times a day. Slowly building trying to find my audience and figuring out how I can add value to others. The hardest thing is acknowledging who I am. Being on UA-cam is helping me heal as a person and figure out what I want and where I want to be. So glad to be here with my 385 subs. You got this, I got this, we got this. Keep up the dope content. LOVE your aesthetic. Just subbed ❤
Just finished 50 Days of a video a day, it’s a grind bro, you have a great background and camera quality, nice choice on the music too. Keep on keeping on
Literally in January I told myself I would be consistent for a month to prove to myself I could be consistent it….lets just say, my life changed forever!!! Keep working hard and chasing and growing. Put your mind to it and NEVER give up, even if the views don’t count or add up it’s the love of it that makes it what it is! Good luck! 👍🏾
congrats on your achievement so far! just started my channel about a month ago. it definitely takes a huge amount of efforts, but I'm really enjoying the whole learning process.
it took me 3 years to finally start doing youtube! i just started 3-4 months ago, im trying to upload at least 1-2 times a week! i hope everyone here has bunch of success moving forward. We got this!
loved this video, tommy! i just started on my youtube channel and learning a lot along the way. scripting definitely makes a big difference! can't wait to continue to see you grow!
Bro I feel u honestly, but I have a big issue, I don't knw if am too desperate or I don't have patience, maybe it's not even me, it's youtube, bcus I kid u not wen I say I just uploaded my 217th video in less than 40days and yet I hav only gotten 55 subs. Can u advise me here, although I started uploading exactly 40 days ago, do u tynk I shud give it time or just forget about it? 😢
No don't forget about it! I feel the struggle. I've had so many channels in years past that never got past 30 subscribers haha and I had more videos then I do on this current channel! Focus less on the amount of videos you're uploading and focus more on writing better videos, coming up with interesting ideas for your niche, educating people, and let your personality fly!! Tags and seo isn't even THATT important, just come up with a strategy for good titles and thumbnails (raw and authentic is kinda the style rn) and try putting more effort into scripting and editing making sure things are clean and polished! It will take a long time of little progress before all of these things finally align for you, the only way thru it is keep making videos and analyzing why things don't work! 🫡
@TOMMYBMP waw! I really appreciate ur advice, really helpful. I wud start doing that more often now, especially with the dating and title part. 👍😄 thanks
Happy to see your progress! I've been wanting to start with just my phone for a while now and written some scripts, just seem to have a block when it comes to filming. Guess I just need to start!
Just go for it. We're all self conscious and pick apart every little thing about ourselves when we start filming. It's weird for a few weeks but then you'll gain a confidence in what you're doing. Don't wait till you think you get the perfect take, just start putting things up even if it's not polished, you have to go thru the phase of being bad at this haha there's no avoiding it!
Looks like you reached your watch hours, just need 1000 sub, keep doing what your doing. I uploaded about 3-5 shorts my first week I grow 1,700 in 2 weeks now I’m more focused on watch hours.
Cool wow tough start but in the end it turned out well. I post a video twice a week on my channel, sometimes three times, I started an ASMR channel a few months ago and now it's fun, at least I learn something new. 😊
Subbed! You're SO underrated wtf. I'm on my journey rn and will support you :) Great vid, great editing. You'll be huge as soon as youtube starts pushing you more!
Physically i know i could do it. Especially since i think I'll do simpler topics for now but I'm striving to meet a certain look to my videos and trying to get it into reality makes me take SO long. I've been trying to master one editing/cinematography skill at a time
Don't let trying to be perfect stop you from putting things out! Just keep honing things in, back when I started posting videos they sucked and I thought they were so good haha, I've since deleted all those I used to have a different channel name and topic. You'll nail things in eventually, I'm still working on my style too
That's just a temporary byproduct of a failing society, not something that you should model your life or business on 💪. It's about working as hard as you can to be the best you can and then reaching a level where you realize you need to shift your focus to efficiency, not boosting your raw strength. Efficient doesn't mean be lazy and sacrifice quality, it means do the best possible job with the least time, not the least effort. Sometimes the effort shows itself in the schematics and not the finished piece.
It claims that the they are not actual strikes... just flagging them as copyright for some reason... I use epidemic sound and I pay for licensing of every song/ sound effect. If anyone knows why I am still getting flagged despite this, it'd be a huge help. But in the meantime it doesn't appear to be affecting the channel 🤷♂️ it flags it but then proceeds to say... "the owner of this content allows you to use it" so I'd always assumed I was in the clear!
Great question, I use epidemic sound for music and sounds and it's all paid for, so idk why it flags everything. But they aren't full strikes, they are just notices, so there is no effect on my channel but still annoying that it even feels the need to display it when it's all paid for haha
We're up 100 subs since uploading this video...
YOU GUYS ARE INSANE I LOVE IT ❤️
