Agreed at 7:15. I've found that live events and street photography are some of the best tests of how well you know your gear. A scene might only last for a couple seconds so you better be able to dial your settings in on the fly.
Yesss absolute game changer, my skillz took a deep dive until I learned my camera 💀
street photography is soooo FUN! it's helped me get out of my own comfort zone thus allowing me to become better at what I do :)
This is kind of interesting as that's the first thing I started doing when I got my first camera. Street photography and low-light photography at music events.
I'm so glad UA-cam recommended your channel to me. Great stuff!

yeah lighting is awesome!
I rarely comment, but this was a huge algorithm win. You are very clear and effective in your explanations of your photography philosophy and style. I am going to do a deep dive on your page. You have a new subscriber!

Great video! As someone who has been into photography for more than eight years, I still see my style evolving, and that's a good thing. Never trust anyone who tells you not to copy anything from someone else. Trying to replicate someone else's style is one of the best ways to find your own. You earned my subscription and i really want to get one of these sunlamps now haha
Yess do it! You can find them on Amazon! Keen to hear your thoughts on future videos
Practicing and going out to shoot every day is so important. Whether it's filmmaking or photography. Getting to know the parameters and how your composition can look is so important. Keep it up! love the lamp in the background btw

I love how you mentioned event photography cause my first gig was a play in a small theater for some students
I had to think so quickly and make decisions so fast but it worked at the end, and when an opportunity to shoot a second one showed up, I took it immediately, and I rly think that that first play and previous events that I did, rly made a difference for a quick photo but with good framing and composition and etc
So true! First gig is always a real eye-opener. Keen to hear your thoughts on future vids :))

This was my first recommended video of yours, gonna pick up my camera again, and subscribed! AND would you mind sharing ways you've learned to choosing the correct settings on your camera to colour grading (and how you don't over think it because I know that's my end factor which stops me from wanting to create).
Yesssss I’ll note that down as a future video idea! Keen to hear your thoughts on future vids 🫶
When you imitate someone your patters separate it from the person your imitating, the way you want to move your tripod the way your broken pan head moves, etc. Therefore it becomes your own style. FIlms take on the time and place theyre in and it makes them truly unique its why bad boys is bad boys and speed is speed and solaris is solaris.
Amazing Video! Thanks for this, you are an inspiration. You're doing great, keep it up!

Great advice and great video! Love how many tiny creators UA-cam is promoting recently. Kinda spooky that this showed up in my recs too - recently I've wanted to change my style but I'm not sure what to. I haven't searched anything about it though, honestly crazy that this showed up.
Also quick question, does the mic you're using require a receiver to be mounted on the camera? I'm looking for a RODE mic like the one you're using that records straight to an SD card or something like that
Yeah it’s pretty easy though! Just plugs in/sits on top of the camera and records straight into the SD card.
I’m really glad you found this video then, it’s nice to give people tangible steps for finding their style 🫶 hope it helped :))

Man i felt connection through this video. Im new to photography, and I struggle with this every day. But I kinda have an idea of what I like. How do you develope the style once you get an idea?
It depends what your style is, but purposefully underexposing or overexposing will push you toward a mood and you can figure out what feels/looks right from there.
Try and analyse how other people light the shots you like. E.g what direction is the light coming from, try and imitate
Love it! Insta-sub!

Great advices! Thank you. I want to edit my videos but my MacBook Air 2017 is not working good with 4k and open gate from GH5 would you give me and budget advice for editing my videos ?
@@emanuelalbaez8680 honestly I’m probably not the person to talk to about tech specs, but I would be recommend a custom PC setup OR if you need to work remotely, the best Mac you can find.
perhaps someone in the comments has a suggestion? 🙋♀️
From my standpoint, very rarely do I find the need to be shooting at anything above 4k, so unless your job & budget warrants it I’d try and give your computer a break 😛
I don't know what program you use to edit videos but consider generating proxies of your video files before you edit. Proxies are less compressed and will be much easier to scrub through and edit.
@@Wildridefilms this is a way better suggestion, cheers
Nice video! I'd reccomend to pull the mic away just a little bit, the mic gathers a ton of detail so, as a viewer, hearing breathing and those "p's" and "b's" that send air into the mic is kind of disrupting.

aaaand your style is being a cute girl on UA-cam! Very original! (UA-cam shows me random people's vlogs on the front of my feed who I have no idea who they are that have 34 subscribers posted 1 day ago with 300 views pretty regularly because it knows it will piss me off and cause me to interact with the videos and comment on it. It's very smart and knows exactly what it's doing)
Interesting, what points did you disagree with in the video? All I hear is irrelevant takes.
NOOOO BRO! Poor you! UA-cam FORCED you to watch this video and comment? Awww man I'm so sorry, must be so tough :(
@@_jckv sounds like we are in a loop. You comment, I replied, then you replied, and now I. Sounds like we are all just slaves to the algo huh? A cycle that will go on forever. In the future this will happen in our NeuroLink x300 pro. What you eat for breakfast today?
@@thisisnotrobi I think what he is saying is UA-cam has been pushing 1000s of new creators to get them creating content because tik tok has take a huge potion of the lions share. UA-cam knows we will most likely watch a vid in our feed if its in our wheelhouse, kind of like a trailer or preview, then we find out there is no value, so our comment is to provide feedback to the creator that this style of content has been played out for a few years now and they should rethink their approach. Taking offense, or defense shows you don't know you're have been wrong your entire life on many different level. All takes are relevant in the real world, lets just hope that are takes as a whole keep you and yours fed.
@@cre8tivexchange Im not sure if his claims are yours. So based on your claim “ we find out there is no value, so our comment is to provide feedback to the creator that this type of content has been played out….” What did the video not provide or lack that is evidence of this? What archetype of played out content did this video resemble? Have examples?
