SUBSCRIBED. For me you are the BEST barber and tutor on you tube. NO ego, you just get on with it. Thankyou. Lovely apartment too!
TimelordUk, I really appreciate the compliments! Be sure to share
Thank you so much for your videos! My husband has a new job tomorrow and we didn't have money for a haircut, but my in laws had clippers. I was able to give him an awesome cut so he looks professional for his new job. Thank you so very much, you made it very easy even tho I was nervous.
I am so happy to hear that! Thanks for sharing. All my best to you and your husband
Thank you for all your videos , they helped me so much!! 🙏
Your videos gave me the confidence to start saving money and cutting my own hair so thank you. About this one though what size is the 0.5? I have guards that say A and B and 1.5mm, also did you have them in the open/closed? 👍
Love it 👌to the point not a long 20 min vids thanks saved me a lot of time I’ll try this on my dad 👌
Rodolfo Mendez, awesome! Hope it goes well
I'm interested learning how to cut hair! Thanks for video! By the way new SUBSCRIBER here from Sfbayarea.. I'm gonna watch all your video how to fade.. I want to learn the basic and a lot more things about cutting hair.. thank you sir! 👍🙋♂️
I don’t reply to anything on UA-cam but cut my hair for the first time today follow your video step by step and my hair came out amazing! All these “master barbers” on UA-cam are no where near on your detailed level
Samuel Toron, I really appreciate your comment 👍🏼
You boost up my confidence. I wanna go fade some haircuts now. Thanks for this simple tutorial.
Love your tips and techniques it's easy to follow. Thank you and I got confidence now hair cutting my colleagues. I do suggest put your videos in skill share. You're a good mentor. More than 20 heads I've already tried following your tips and they are happy. And they are asking if I work in salon before.
I did this one for a selfcut! Perfect tutorial! And it came out very crisp and fresh! Thanks for uploading!
Tips on self cut how do u do back
Thanks so much! Do you have a video for shorter hair fade? I'm touching up my sons faded man bun...
Excellent job, my friend! Thanks for sharing this video with us. 👍👏👌
If I’m using my andis masters out of the box (not zero gapped) will it turn out like this? Should I zero gap them? Thank you for your videos.
kenny650 yeah
You make it look easy. Great DIY video.
MrMPRandGumbo, thanks a lot!
You make that look too easy. Once I create my guideline I usually start from the bottom and work my way up. I tend to get confused on what guards sizes i need to use and I keep creating another line
Same here 😅
thankyou. great tips and not have bullsh words like the master barber make.
Thanks!
Nice vid. What kind of blades? Precision blade like Andis FadeMaster or taper blade like Andis Masters?
your video so quick!!
Is your clipper Zero gapped
Question? Is a zero clipper attachment 1/16 cm?
Hey on minute 1:57 you said “ I’m going to be using a number one guard” ... is that open or closed all the way ? Thanks !
GiantFilmsProduction closed it looks like
Hi dude thanks for the tips. Just wanted to ask that i have new wahl metal guards to use with magic clipper. They are 1/2 1 1.5 and 2. Was wondering would you use them all on one fade?
Thanks
Thanks for your comment. Yes you can use them all on one fade, but you can get away with skipping some and using the lever on the side instead
@@TipsforClips thanks bro really helps. am starting out at the moment. Your video about cutting own hair was very helpful. Messed up 1 fade so far Took the 1 guard too high and then when i tried using the wahl detailer on the bottom of the fade i struggled blending it in. I guess its more about practice rather than having the best tools.
If I am using a razor on the lower part, do I still need to do the 5th step (#0 closed) to knock out the lower line? Shouldn't I just shave it away with everything below it? Thanks. I cut my own hair following this tutorial, and it was the best I've done myself. It was the 1st time it actually looked like it does when I get it cut downtown. Thanks. It really helped.
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing. The zero closed is longer than the razor. After doing the zero closed, use the razor below that
Nice tips siR
Laddi Suman, thanks!
Using the number 3 guard, is the lever open or closed?
Just looked at the bio, got it thank you 😂
amazing as always. thanks. also do you know why some barbers use different clippers when fading i notice that they can do very good fades that way?
jack smith, it’s just a preference. Different barbers feel that different clippers help with specific steps

mata hari 👍🏼👌🏼 I appreciate the support
Hey bro if I want to do my first guidline with #1 (because I don't want to do a very short fade).. What's the next guide line should be? I noticed you start yours with no guard open and then you go to #2 closed. So that's why I'm asking. Thanks for your help bro.
If it's a #1 with opened lever, then right above that should be a #2 closed lever
You're the best
Does gaurd 1/2 closed blend into the no gaurd open? or are they going to be the same length?
BeautyofScent, I don’t have a half guard. It really depends on the clippers, so you’d have to try it out and see. But your logic is right, they’re going to be very similar
Love your videos. But hope to see the cutting with better lighting.
HINGFITNESS, thanks! I appreciate the feedback
How do you fade a 3on too to a 2 sides or 1?
Hi! Can you make a vid on how to style hair without using pomade or gel?
Isaac Botello, interesting request-I’ll definitely keep it in mind
Your videos are awesome! Question I use the 0 open on the sides, and number 2 open on top, how would I go about fading those numbers?
jose rendon, thanks! Do you have a 1/2 guard? If so, use that closed above the 0, then opened above that. Then above that use a 1 closed, then above that one opened, and so on with the #2. If you don’t have the 1/2 guard, you can still get away with it following what I just wrote. Hope that helps!
Your awesome bro! Thanks for the reply
Sorry to be a pain haha, but could u possibly put this in steps 1-? Got a little confusing lol
jose rendon, the steps are listed in the video description
My bad dude thanks
I'm happy to watch your tutorial thank you. But why all the videos I've been watching you forward so fast, my comments is if this is the tutorial please don't forward so fast coz for the 1st time they don't understand.
Which supplies did you use? Can you list them on ur description please
Roxana Davila, thanks for your comment! They’re in the description now. Happy cutting 👌🏼
how do you like those wahl razor edger trimmers?
fragrance enthusiast, they’re my favorite trimmers-not too sharp and definitely not dull. They last for years and clean well as you can see. If you’re looking for the sharpest though, Andis T edge is definitely the one to go with
Good vid 🤙
Adrian Tapia, much appreciated 👌🏼
Love
Hanh Duong, thanks for the support!
Hey I been watching a lot of your videos as I am trying to learn to cut my own hair and I got to say you are the best on UA-cam for learning to cut hair! You explain very well! Thank you and keep the videos coming.
Thanks very much! More to come soon
Hope to see next time tips on how to grow beard 😁
Is a zero guard a half guard?

Tips for Clips - Haircutting thanks a lot
R u flicking out at the ridge?
Nice
TheZomBNation 👍🏼 thanks
What if you don't have a Zero guard?
Josiah Gibbs use the no guard open just flick out or use the corner
0 Guard ??? Is that 1.5 MM or 1/16 ????
I dont have number 0 guard Whic one should i use
Caner A, you can use no guards with the lever opened. And then above that use #1 closed
@@TipsforClips Thanks
Could you do tips for People with spiky hair?
Xx_M!LkW33d _xX, thanks for your suggestion. Will keep it in mind

Dude can you go any faster for us newbies plz I mean common man really
Excellent camera work 🤦 you speed it up and you also have sun glare .. can’t see shit lol
Does gaurd 1/2 closed blend into the no gaurd open? or are they going to be the same length?
BeautyofScent, I don’t have a half guard. It really depends on the clippers, so you’d have to try it out and see. But your logic is right, they’re going to be very similar
Hey bro if I want to do my first guidline with #1 (because I don't want to do a very short fade).. What's the next guide line should be? I noticed you start yours with no guard open and then you go to #2 closed. So that's why I'm asking. Thanks for your help bro.
BeautyofScent, you have two options: check out tip#4 from my video, or you can use this video and just skip the first step and the step with the zero guard. Everything else above that will stay the same. Let me know if you still have questions
ok thanks bro. do you like cordless clippers that's very popular these days or do you prefer the corded ones?
BeautyofScent, I definitely trimmers with cords. They tend to be more powerful and reliable than the cordless ones
@@TipsforClips If I follow this, do I start the #1 closed guideline where the no guards opened guideline should've been ? And then from there do all the same steps except the zero closed, also will the fade still look okay this way? Thanks !
b p, check out my other videos, especially my most popular video on the perfect fade in 4 minutes. It’ll be the first video that comes up on UA-cam when you search for men’s haircuts
