    I like using the shaver early on cause theres nothing worse than ruining your cut from a customer moving slightly or something like that causing you to make a line or take the shaver too high. I also feel like unless you are very experienced using the shaver at the end a lot of barbers dont take the shaver high enough cause they are afraid to make a line so they end up just balding out the fade as if it was a low fade or something.

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  3 місяці тому +2

      That’s a great point. I’ll show you on one of these releases coming soon how you can do that while still using this technique. Thank you for the feedback Mike I totally agree! New barbers need that thanks

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  Місяць тому +1

      I remember working at a Great Clips when I first started and the going rate was 15 minutes per cut to make any money. They definitely were about getting hair off the head. Please enlighten me about sport clips I was under the assumption fantastic Sam’s, great clips, sport clips, and super cuts were all under the same umbrella 🙏

    • @JM-xq1fb
      @JM-xq1fb Місяць тому +1

    • @JM-xq1fb

    Do you barbers out there prefer clippers with the click lever or non-click and does it matter or make a difference?

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  3 місяці тому +2

      I think this generation of barbers likes the clicks. Helps for more precise consistent cutting. OG barbers probably can’t stand the clicks so they remove it. That’s why it’s nice for clippers to have removable click features

  • @bryantescoto2476
    @bryantescoto2476 2 місяці тому +1

    Are the clippers you use for the cut zero gapped?

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  2 місяці тому +2

      Always properly adjusted. Never zero you always have to have a tiny precise gap between the two, just a little less close than your trimmers are

  • @luhbreezy7474
    @luhbreezy7474 3 місяці тому +1

    Fire cut bro, how are you liking the SC magnetic guards, do they cut similar to the Wahl guards?

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  3 місяці тому +2

      They cut identical to them! As long as it’s the tight guards (that come from .5 to 2, usually colored) and not the “dubs”. Those cut different

  • @zachsmith2135
    @zachsmith2135 3 місяці тому +1

    Did you closed the 1 guard or just half way ?

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  3 місяці тому +2

      Typically, when fading down, i just do halfway. However, if a beginner wants to do baby steps to get there, nothing wrong with starting open, then halfway, then closed.

  • @bobbydigital8243
    @bobbydigital8243 3 місяці тому +4

    Bro can you please answer this leaver question I have with these clippers. Can you name the question mark, (Leaver open > leaver half open>?>leaver half closed>leaver closed) I have yet to find any barber on youtube that answers this, its driving me crazy.

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  3 місяці тому +5

      I’ll take a moment to show you on cam soon. Open is open right, blade on its longest setting. Closed is the shortest, basically bald. Honestly half open, and half closed really is the same thing. It’s referring to the lever just being in the middle of the 2. Now if you want you can go notch by notch and get technical closing the lever a quarter at a time. But it works pretty well going straight to the halfway mark.
      So to clarify, don’t think about it as halfway closed or halfway open.
      Just think about it as halfway.
      Lever open
      Lever half way
      Lever closed
      I’ll be sure to use this verbiage going forward

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  2 місяці тому +2

      There’s very few stations that require scooping. Study the channel, see how I apply this, I explain the motions in every video. Straight up and down, square cutting let the clipper ride off the ridge when creating the shape. Blending flat to the head

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah man you really want to move just incrementally lower each time you close the lever. Keep watching keep observing how I do these cuts, also remember that the hair cuts at the tip of the moving blade, not the still blade. That can help you a little with precision.

    I'd rather to regular hair cut and take me 15 minutes a cut, and charge 22 to 25 ,then do a 35 dollar fade and take a 1 hour to do it .😂

    • @TitoCuts
      @TitoCuts  2 місяці тому +1

      You said it perfect fro. That 25 dollar cut with high efficiency is $100 per hour. Versus 35 per hour cmon man lol

    • @AuthenticOrigins
      @AuthenticOrigins 2 місяці тому +1

      @TitoCutsTampaBay I don't know where they pay that kind of money for a hair cut ,because where I'm from which is idaho ,they don't pay no more then a 35 to 40 bucks max for skin fades ,and regular cuts are 22 to 25.

    You’re tutorial is great the audio is terrible man. It’s hard to listen to on headphones with the clippers buzzing in one ear and the music in the other. Who ever is editing you videos needs to fix that. Almost stopped watching because the audio is so bad.
