I've been barbering for nearly 40 years now. I'm now a licensed Master Barber. I teach as well...privately. I'm always keeping my eyes out for new talents and good, no great, educators. I just stumbled onto your UA-cam site and I gotta give it to you. Very, very well done, Sir. I love your methodical methods and your enthusiasm. My absolute best to you. I'll be keeping my eyes out for more of your work.

That is the best video, I am just a stay at home house wife with 2 kids trying to save money by doing my kids haircuts myself with zero training. I didnt think I could do it at all until I found your videos. You explained it not once but twice and made sure it was understood what and why you did what you did. That helped a lot. Thanks for the help, I'm going to be watching more videos, hopefully my sons hair is a success!

I've been cutting hair for 10 years and still have struggled with fades, I can do them but we're talking a good 30-40 minutes of cutting and I'm still never completely happy with them. I'm a cosmo and I love barbering I just never felt I had the skills to master it, this is stuff that just wasn't covered that well in school. I have spent lots of time and shelled out money trying to improve and I've seriously even considered paying for barber school. Dude! I tried these techniques this past weekend and did some crazy fades! They felt effortless and my day just seemed to breeze by. I saw some of the other girls stopping to check out my haircuts and for the first time I found myself wanting to post pictures. I have gained a few skills over the years but mostly with shear cutting. I have gotten compliments but I've never felt confident and always felt my customers could see that. Thanks for this, I really think you may have just saved me a lot of money. I still want to learn to use a straight razor but I'm not sure that'd be worth the money I'd spend on the tonsore academy, we'll see if my state really plans to open shaving up to cosmetologist's soon. I will recommend your videos to any and everyone I see struggling. Thanks again!!

I love how you said we should "trust the process" when fading with the guard steps, this is %100 truth! The most logical, simple technique on UA-cam barber tutorial hands down. Also, the correct placement of the guard to the scalp was well-explained. Even though I am not a professional barber I do cut my own hair and that of my friends. I recently ordered a Wahl Magic Clip Cordless clipper so I can practice more with this tutorial, who knows perhaps barbing school in the future just because of people like you. Thank you so very much. Subscribed!!!

thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to sit and simply explain how fading is done. The purpose of the guards, the whole concept in it's entirety. I'm new to the whole industry, straight out of cosmetology school and barbering wasn't really explained or taught in detail which makes it hard on one going into the barbering field. I Look forward to more of your tutorials and I'm going to NOT binge on Netflix, but binge on all of your videos! Best wishes and continued success!

Ok, Eddie, I’m only going to say this bc you mention if I see anything you missed to let you know. First though, this really is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen thousands, I’d say this is in my top five, that’s how good this is. Now I’m going to tell you something 99% of barbers fail to teach and it’s funny because it would probably be the biggest game changer ever. Lever adjusting. If I knew literally every single time you moved the lever AND WHY EXACTLY you moved it, the specific spot you’re using it on, that alone would do everything for me. I know it probably isn’t easy, most of us move the lever dozens and dozens of times. But I’m telling you, you would be the first to do it.

Your instructional video is the best explained I’ve seen here in UA-cam. There’s a white dude from Atlanta who wears bow ties who does the same thing but he’s terrible. He equates the hair guards cut to money. Like this is 2 dollars off the side. He sounds dumb. I rock with you my boy. Go bills.

Dude thank you 🙏 so so much.
Create the guidelines with the clipper open then fade closed.
I’m going to keep watching. Thank you again. 💇💇🏾‍♂️

As we’re all in lockdown at the moment my partner needs his hair cut. He’s extremely particular with his hair so this video has helped massively with the basics on what I need to know. I hope it comes out good or he might never speak to me again 🤣🤞🏼

Your videos are an immense help you have no idea. The thing I struggle with is making the jump after the 1, into the 2 finishing and blending it.

ive really been looking for videos that arent about c-motion or flicking out. thank you so much! the flickin out method becomes difficult once you're tryint to taper or go to a 2 guard on top.

I've been cutting my son's hair for 14 years lol using clippers he has very thick curly afro hair and have always used #1 on the sides and #2 at top but have never known how to do a fade this is actually helpful and gives me a much more better idea on to do it. I need new hair clippers tho lol i am not a hairdresser eithet i have just self taught myself how to do his hair and i also do my other son's hair completely the opposite tho he has thinner straight hair. Loved the video, thanks for sharing 💖

Thanks I appreciate you for what you have said. You are teaching the right way. You were simple and not in a rush. I haven’t cut anybody’s hair yet but I’m trying to learn by finding the numbers then start cutting.

Great video for beginner barbers including myself. Now makes perfect sense why the fades are choppy and keep it flushed. Thanks also on the shavers and being light handed also. Great content.

I just wanted to say Thank you for the way you explain the whole process of fading. the chart that you made really makes a lot of sense. I have always struggled with fades cause of the process gets lost in my process in my head. I look forward to using what you have taught me and progressing from here.
