0:22 Use the no 2 guard with the lever closed
0:50 Clipper over comb
1:07 Establish the guideline a little above the eyebrows to start dipping below to the middle almost end of the ears with the lever closed no guard
1:26 Create the proceeding guideline with the lever open no guard about a pinkie finger
1:39 Hit the ceiling with the full blade lever open no guard
1:59 Put the lever at mid way closed and hit it mid way within that guideline
2:22 hit the ceiling one more time with the lever open no guard
2:34 Close the lever all the way and hit the bottom of the guideline
3:20 Use a half guard lever open mainly using the corners or half of the blade instead of the full blade. Go a pinkie finger up
3:58 Half guard lever midway closed for the middle part again
4:19 lever closed half guard
4:33 remove the guard and go with the lever open to blend in right beneath the area we hit with the half guard closed
5:17 one guard lever open to flick out
5:49 One and a half guard lever open working open to closed
5:14 one guard from open to closed
6:47 half guard polish all around

Best fade I've seen. I've been cutting for 40 yrs and I can't get a fade like that lol. You have a gift son.
What have you been doing all this time lol? What area are you based in?
@@BobaDavis I've been retired about 8 yrs now, and the shop I owned didn't have many calls for bald fades, mostly business men. I was living in NJ at the time, my son who worked for me gave awesome fades, I never mastered it. I'm in Florida now where all us old folks live, and I can't find a good Barber in The Villages, so I cut my own hair, I get a bald fade, I'm quite good at it now lol. Thanks for replying.
@@rbilardo47 To be honest, fades weren't being cut like this back then. Very European style of fading was the trend. Good to hear that you're living the good life. Might be the last generation to use the word RETIRE, lol.
@@BobaDavis Keep the Faith, time flies, and before you realize it, you'll be ready to retire. Put your money away while you are still young, this is very important. God Bless.
@@rbilardo47 And to you, young man!
I don't know how 1.9k people don't like this video. This young brotha laced this other young brotha's hair. That fade is tight. Great job brotha!!!
It’s all the hater’s
I love how you’re using the correct terms in your videos. In cosmetology school they give us a lot of shit for not using words like Occipital bone, apex, etc. You’re work is very detailed and your explanation is very thorough!

this is actually the cleanest fade i have seen so far
A little too clean🤔
@@valle_cutz4953 how can a fade be too clean?
@@luvaannmmg4902 exactly. lol
I never gotten a fade this clean
Yes, but the model also has a ton of hair.
This literally went perfect. Usually there is a tiny bit wrong or another little detail but this right here, can't even find a single hair that isn't faded perfect. Amazing job!
I love how organized you are. No skipping guards. For a beginner all the guard skipping can sometimes confuse a noob.
This model has nice hair, normally not the case. Just dont ever make the same mistake twice and you'll be alright.
You make it look so easy! It's not easy to make it look as good as you did
Hi, Check out our fade tool. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09G3C3RJZ/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8
This has to be the CLEANEST fade ever. This was on my recommended and I ain't complaining. 🔥🔥🔥
I love watching different barbers and their techniques and types of buzzers they use but this... might be the blurriest butteriest cleanest fade I ever seen. Nice shit 💯🤙🏼
i love this video because you explained your process for the blending, and managed to fit the 30 minutes in less than 10 minutes. great video. thank you!!
every video about cutting hair I enter, has a comment section full of people wanting to do it because of corona, am I the only one who has been watching these types of videos for months now?
Im with you brotha i let my girl cut mine with real good clippers and she did a good job she actually got it down Lol
Same here. I'm tryna be a barber
@@joelperez9096 me too man, good luck btw
Years man lol always wanted to be a barber but only got 2 heads to cut up maybe every other month
Would love to see video on cutting low taper fade vs mid taper vs high taper fade. And seeing all three results. Your technique to cut is way easier to follow. Nice job!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽
I'm only 1 min in and I can tell this is gonna be a good clear and understanding tutorial. Also tells where to cut which most people dont do

Best and most simple fade tutorial I’ve seen ever! Keep these coming bro. I really learned a lot
This is probably the best tutorial I’ve watched since starting my barber career. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your art here. You are a true artist. I've learn't so much watching this. Your teaching method is so easy to follow and understand.
I gave my brother a skin fade and it came out pretty good! It only took 1.5 hours. My first ever cut lol! Wish I watched your video earlier, now I’m more assured in staying in place. It’s easy to get lost in my guidelines, with your method it’s simple to keep intact and on point!
Damn 1.5 hours for a first haircut!! It took me at least 3 hours for my first 3 haircut
@@Rush-oh5bq Nice, man. It took me around 22 hours for my first 10 or so haircuts.
What I would do to find someone who could do a fade like this. It seems recently that nobody cares about the quality of the cuts they give. This is truly a form of art!
Such a sick fade! This was like a school lesson of barbering 😎 learnt a lot from this thank you dude
Wow, great video! Quick simple and straight to the point, with excellent results. Thank you!
You are one excellent instructor. Not only do you explain how to do something, you also explain why you do something. Knowing why you're doing something makes you more on purpose on how you do it. I learned quite a bit from this tutorial today. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
i'm doing my first practice fade test today, i studied this whole video & jotted down 20 steps, super detailed & super helpful!

This is my go-to self-haircut during quarantine ! Already cut my hair over 10 times using this.
what mirrors do you use bro?
@@Masterahsoka I actually bought the self-cut-system during quarentine, It was on sale & no barber shops were open. Have no use for it now since my barber is back haha, you can make a DIY one with 3 mirrors at the $1 store and a couple of hinges from home depot, same thing.
This is the probably the cleanest fade I’ve ever seen in my lifetime
@s v this dude is 10x better than that Guy
Man this video caught me by final look. After watching it was very efficiently done on point fam I been cuttin a min and that is true craftsmanship. Real 💈 Barber

im not leaving a comment for the ref but broooooo u a boss 2 years after this vidéos is helping a lot bless
YO can we just appreciate how detailed the instructions were on where to cut? "Reaching the occipital bone" Educated young man right there!
That's they way they teach us in school. We are educated in anatomy down to every layer of the nail plate, skin, hair follicles etc.
Thank you!!!! I don’t get to do a lot of fades, but I want to be the best I can be at them. This helped a lot!
My absolute favorite tutorial!!! Thank you
Best fade tutorial on UA-cam 👏🏻

It’s like all 3 steps has three little steps. Just follow the steps u can’t go wrong!! Amazing video!!
Thanks brother! The long way! I will start cutting up for profit soon. You taught me most of my tricks. Thanks again.
Used a few tutorials but found this gave me the best fade ive ever done very simple and easy to do 10/10 mate! Sickiest fade ever👍🏾
Why’d you say “sickiest”
This fade is literally perfect.
Probably one of the nicest and tightest fade on UA-cam.
Excellent tips. That helps me a lot, I have have 3 boys, and I cut ✂️ their hair, and now that they are older, is more difficult, because they want to look good 👍
This is the smartest barber I ever seen /heard. My IQ just went up 67 points just watching this video.
Literally so many other barbers in UA-cam have the same method of fading. Chris Bossio is the cornerstone of flawless barbering on UA-cam.
@@kratu6625 True. So many barbers nowadays are using these same methods. Freehand fading with no guidelines is where it's at. A true barber doesn't need no fucking guidelines. Chyeah!
I’ve been a barber who fades using this technique for 10 years. Before photoshop was mainstream and when we called it “tight” not “blurry”
I thought you were gonna say your hair started to come back ever since you started to bald 😂😆😆😆😆
For real tho
By the time baber shops open back up every one is going to be able to do their own haircuts i have my wife doing my hair already
Me too. Just ordered myself some decent clippers to practise a skin fade with a 1 on top.
C I bought that whole kit this shit better be helping out i be watching videos for 4 days now
If only it was as easy as it looks.
#67 Salah u can’t expect to be good after watching videos u gotta put in this knowledge to practice
Yeshua Martinez I cut my bro’s hair for the first time and it came out decent. If you have a brother or sis just tell them to watch some tutorials and try cutting ur hair. It’s really not as hard as it looks
That was a clean and great job buddy. Thanks so much! 🔥💯🙏🏻
#2 all the way up and off the head, trimmer bald line, foil skin, trimmer again for detail, open clipper to closed, #1 guard open to close then work the half guard last. No wrong way to fade this is just what works for me
blurry fade 🔥🔥
This was a very detailed tutorial, can I request you make a similar tutorial for people who have not cut hair, going into depth of the parts if the trimmer? So we can familiarize with the 'barber' language?
when the lever is down its means open , when its in the middle it means halfway, when its up it means closed , the steps are : closed guidline 0 gurad, open 0 guard , closed 1 guard and open 1 guard , when its closed blend it with the lever open
That fade is amazing 🔥
This is amazing and will definitely help me at my job. 🙏🏻 thank you!
If Only we had talent like this in the uk

When he says "half gaurd " is that the (0) gaurd?
@@d3arb0rns Nope. But if you don't have the 1/2 guard use 0 guard open . Hope that helps
I am a barber student and I struggle to much with blending the fade at the point that one of my friends help me blend the fade to a client so this vídeo is very helpful thanks
where were you 4 years ago!?!? haircut tutorials were garbage back then great video brother i love your technique.
I followed the instructions now i look mexican
Good job
Where do you get the fiber stuff at? Does it just wash out then? That is great! I loved the tips: Using the edge of the clippers, Using a 1.5 guard, Where to begin the fade according to the hairline, Using hairspray to keep the front edge in place! Oh, and the bussiness card with fibers to define the line! Really cool!
I’m gonna get my first pair of clippers for my birthday and I can’t wait to cut hair. I feel this is my key, a key to get me off the invisible chain around my ankle that holds me to a job I will hate. I don’t want to ever work under anyone and this career will make me feel free
Goodluck man. Hope it works out
