You should make this a series. Probably some of the most enjoyable Blender content out there.
Nice!! Glad you enjoyed it!! Would definitely be possible to make this into a series, yes!
@@Polyfjord yesssss I would be awesome! So we can also take the challenge!
@@Polyfjord I agreeeee you should defiantly make this a series !!!
frfr
This has been going around the wargaming miniatures youtubers for a little bit now. Was kind of surprised to see it pop up here, but it's fun to see.
31:12 - When you talked about doing your favorite thing and being happy that people would want to watch it, that was really sweet. We can tell you really love this stuff - and that makes it entertaining!!
I would love this as a series - roll the dice and make another video! 🙂
Right? It was so addictive, i couldn't stop watching, the video was like hipnotising
Haha I thought the same! Saying he appreciated us watching it, and I'm over here thinking that I appreciate that he made it! He always goes really fast, but re-watching and working out what he's doing and why is really helping me learn and understand good practices, tools, and methods in blender. I would absolutely watch this as a series!
Its kind of amazing how passion and enthusiasm are so enthralling
Is this going to be a series? I want to see more
I had a really fun time making it at least, so I think it might very well be yes!
@@Polyfjord so awesome to hear!
I just want to say that your EXR + djv workflow is really useful. I use it everyday now. Thank you!
That's awesome to hear!! Thanks for watching!
Love this 'figuring out as we go' concept.. keep creating my man.
Another awesome Video! And even tho it's 40 minutes long I wasn't bored a single one of them. Super fun to see you come up with new stuff and also the always changing motivation :)
Thank you my friend!! I am so glad to hear that, I was afraid it was too long! Appreciate it!
This is unhinged and I love it. So many other Blender creators find their formula and lock into it, whether it's timelapses, "quick tips", long tutorials, and while I love that stuff it's so refreshing to see someone get into their flow. I'm imagining that every time there's a cut you're just spinning randomly around the scene, I know that's where 90% of my modeling time goes lol.
Definitely gonna be working on this when I get home
Thanks!
Nice! If you want to join the discord (with the link in description) you can join a challenge we're doing with this list of art prompts
@@Polyfjord oh jeez, yeah I’ll definitely try
This is awesome. As a complete beginner, watching you build so quickly was amazing. It's like you are fluent in 3D and I love it! As for the bot, I think it turned out great! The little flaps act like a hand or arm that allows the bot to make simple gestures. I also like the fact that it stumbles toward the mirror after waking up instead of moving in a static manner, implying it might be "tired" or just starting to move again.
As a a new blender beginner at the age of 68, this was the best blender "tutorial" ı've seen since. Thanks pal, keep on doing that kind of stuff for this old man.
Never too old to learn... really! Keep it up.
I love the quality of your videos!!
Quality on so many levels oo
31:19 i can watch this all day, keep doing what you do. love it!!
This is probably the most entertaining 30+ minutes Blender video I have ever watched. It's not just the content and final product being absolutely top notch, but also the fact that you seem like a very genuine and authentic person. Your passion for what you do rubs off so well with me, and I'm sure it's the same for so many others, as I see this reflected in other comments. I've subscribed to countless UA-cam channels, but yours is among my special list of 'ring that bell' channels where I wanna make sure I catch anything and everything you're willing to put out. Keep making amazing content for us!
Just realized the movement of the Gemspider mimics your feelings - "I don't like it / hey, it's not too bad!... it's not going to be good / Looking great so far!.... I'm not sure how this is going to turn out / Aw, THIS is cool!" Life has its ups & downs - sometimes you just have to let the process unfold! THEN you can shine like a Diamond and admire your work! - Thanks and this was fun to watch!
it amazing to see you just kind of talking to the project, with no prior knowledge on what its gonna be in the end, you just ask questions and do them and it really motivates me to do the same, i always feel like me just kind of winging it is lazy, but you have proven differently!
its like the robot is actually alive in your mind hahah
Wow. Crazy how little details change the whole vibe to a project. I love how you're constantly changing between "I love this" and "I hate this" :D
Thanks for letting us have a look at your workflow and still teaching us a lot!
Unreal video.
The speed at which you can do all of this blows my mind, amazing! Watching you figure things out in real time is actually also very useful and it's a lot of fun to watch you create!
Loved the format of this video! Was enthralled for the full 40 minutes. Definitely make this a series!
There is always something new that I learn by following your tutorials, specially the animation tricks... Thanks for teaching us.
I love how we are able to see your thought process when making projects
I can't believe that blender and your videos are for free!! Awesome work (:
Watched the whole thing and loved how you described your creating /thinking process, including the "down" times! Congrats!!!
This is 3rd video I've watched. Thanks for sharing your works. a fan of Blender from Vietnam.
You are incredible.
Not just from creativity stand point, but with your skills. Watching you do all these things on a whim is honestly inspiring. Keep up amazing work!
These videos are extrodaniarily valuable, because it helps people understand how you should approach things within a constrained environment.
This kind of reminds of some of Ian Hubert's videos. It's often more fun to watch someone do their craft and figure things out as they go versus a follow along tutorial of something they've already done. Big fan of these videos since we're more likely to see your thinking process
This was recommended by a friend. Absolutely love the video and the result is mind blowing. New to blender but seeing this kind of amazing work, I'm inspired to stick at it. Thank you ❤️
You saying how it was cool that we were just hanging out made me feel that you really appreciate your viewers and subscribers. I liked and subscribed.
I can feel the passion in this video, this is what makes it is so enjoyable to watch!
I feel like not enough people go into the details, and just show the finished product. Love the content!
You're just crazy. It's just beautiful. The search for an idea and your enthusiasm...love it!
Nice one! Great to see some of your thought process and your workflow. I think it really shows problem solving and creative input. Things which are hard to teach otherwise!
The part where you were self aware that people were enjoying watching you do a favorite hobby of yours is awesome. This is my favorite blender channel by far and I will definitely use your content as tutorials when learning blender modeling for game design. Hats off all around dude awesome work with everything.
really great. the number of small tips in passing is really valuable to see in context that is more natural than a fully scripted tutorial.
You are one of the best Blender content creators out there, and a huge source of inspiration for a lot of people. Please never stop doing what you do!
This was a great challenge, and I'd love to see this become a series! Your enthusiasm and excitement is great to see, and it's something that's missing from so many creators these days. Definitely the most enjoyable Blender video I've seen for a very long time!
Incredible Quality
This is so cool, I have no idea how you do it! I love ur vids, keep up the good work 👍
That bokeh trick is awesome. I was thinking "why is he doing that? you can just change the bokeh shape in the camera settings" but then this obviously gives you that more realistic, inconsistent shape to the bokeh at the edges of the frame. Fantastic trick man, thank you.
I like your way of work, please continue this way
I love your animations can you please also make a tutorial on sound effects. Learning from your tutorials and love to watch your videos
I genuinely love your content. Just got to the part where you're talking about how much you love doing it, and it's why I always come back. There's such a passion that shows in the content. And I learn a ton every time
The speed in which he makes all the things is just insane
Man loved your videos and would like to see your imagination just like this !!!
You're like the Bob Ross for Blender...
And this format is really entertaining & informative...
Hope to see more videos like this!
This video is amazing. I love the process, the end product, your attitude, and how happy you seem doing it! PLEASE make more!
Probably one of the best blender video
It's really cool when you peak the end result first and then watch the process!
I really loved the restraints you placed on yourself from the beginning. Seeing how that shaped the entire project was engaging for me.
i watched the whole thing, it was awesome to see the process
Very Good concept, I love it ! See you soon on lichess! (I m "BrainExit")
I love this style of video, I love watching you have fun and watching you make something using a spreadsheet, it had a kind of random feel when you rolled the die which I loved.
Thank you so much my friend! It really means a lot
Every tutorial of yours is incredible, and this one is no less. It's like watching a live stream of a Blender master, but without all the boring bits.
Would absolutely love to watch a whole series of those!
One of your most interesting videos. I'd love more.
Just want to say, I loved this. I watched it over the course of several days but love having the longer content from you. It's always fun to watch someone who's genuinely excited by the work they're doing.
i love it! sometimes constraints are more freeing that having unlimited options 🤘🏼
I can't stop watching this through the end, this is going so interesting. Appreciate for making this video!
I watched the whole video no skips, and while learning to model animate and composite in blender I feel like I’m learning a lot just by watching! Your videos inspire, entertain and make me want to jump head first in a project like this that looks really fun! Keep it up, because I’ll keep watching :)
Hey thank you so much!!! That means a lot
That was such a cool and relaxing video, it helped working along on my own projects and picking up tips here and there, both very educative and calming
''It always looks cool to just change things.''

Best Blender quote ever!
Very nice video. I learned a lot of things from watching this video even though you weren't explaining anything. This format is honestly really nice for advanced tutorials since you can slow down to see things that you don't know but won't get bogged down by explanations of things you already know how to do. I really enjoyed it and am also hoping for a series :D
Whenever I feel like I'm losing motivation to keep learning Blender, I watch one of your videos and immediately feel inspired. I really appreciate that, thank you!
dude, you'r so good
I hope you continue this
Really nice to see someone just enjoying what he does and not patronizing viewers. Really interesting to see a video focused more on the creative process than pure technique. Thanks for sharing this moment. :)
Thank you for the beautiful comment my friend!! I hadn’t thought of it like that
pls more of this, i love it, its so nice to chill and watch
So inspiring to watch & see your thought process & also the excitement when something goes well. Had me captivated for the whole 38:51 😁
this was such a joy to watch, i hope you make more!! this is exactly the kind of blender content we need to see!
You just inspired a lot with this workflow of just doing it with those limitations and see what you can make up of it. That in my opinion has true form of creativity at its core. Would love to see more of these and hopefully during a stream.
I absolutely loved watching you have fun. It makes me want to make one too! I really like how you made a thing, then came up with purpose AFTER.
I really like this kind of videos, pls do a second part of this
I watched the whole video and would watch it again! Your enthusiasm is contagious and inspiring. Loved the result. Well done! 10/10
The energy from you actually really enjoying it is amazing
This new style is so cool... and it came out splendid for me!
this is a genius idea
This format is genius. Loved the video! Please do more of these!
Most enjoyable blender content i have enjoyed
All of your tutorials are absolute godsends!! Incredibly helpful and thanks so much :D
Man your sound FXs are incredible!!
super smart ! and super fun to watch ! very inspirational too ! Being in my journey transitioning from c4d to blender, this is awesome! bravo !!!
Always exciting to watch your creation process. And the result is always amazing.
I can't do much with Blender because of my GPU.
But seeing someone else having fun and creating animations and renders like yours is just as rewarding as making my own. Thank you!
Awesome stuff! I really like how you present your work and the way you teach!!
Not even kidding... I watched the whole video and enjoyed every second of it. Very nice work!
Great workflow, great result and stunning sound design. Awesome!
This was super fun to watch. I really hope you'll get armored sci-fi something. I feel like that would look really well
This series is so interesting
the custom vintage bokeh blew my mind.
I never even considered that something like that could work.
I loved the ring box😭
Legit, I watched the fill video! I love how you creatie stuff that comes in your mind so smooth!
Watching your videos is always a great thing and gives me a lot of inspiration. Especially this one. Nice Job.
love your channel, man! this video was so informative, also thanks for sharing the composite nodes (by showing)!
That's just the best video i've ever watched in my life. Thank you so much for that ! Please make others videos like that, it would be amazing.
Duuuuuude, this was the best 39 minutes of my life. I've never enjoyed a UA-cam video like this before and the crazy thing is that it was the first video that appeared when I opened the app. S/O maan🔥🔥🔥🔥
That woody room is lovely, I want it.
ALSO amazing stuff, I dont say it anymore because at this point its obvious with all your vids
Amazing, love the entire process
i love how he still had the dices there, the whole time
Only a new viewer, but already loving your work.
U are absolutely one of my favourite 3D artists. Impressive work my friend. I always learn like a lot from your videos. So cool.
I absolutly love this idea. I often prefer limitations so i don't get overwealmed with the infinite possibilities of the unbound mind.
I'm currently watching this video in 4K HDR and man! the color correcting and dynamic is so good! and also hope to see the slow and full version of this tutorial in the future or in Patron.
Wow! I am so amazed by this, you are truly talented
