Polyfjord never disappoints with the quality of his work.
This dropped perfectly with a school assignment I'm delivering this sunday. Soundly is far superior than random websites I've used untill now. Tusen takk!
Bro you killed it with this soundly collab. They’re awesome for expanding the promo and offering the sound pack. You guys just made it even easier for all of us. Soundly has improved my sound design workflow ever since you introduced me to it. Thanks for the quality content as always!
After all the Blender help, this is so weird, I've just got into video editing on DaVinci Resolve and finding sound clips/doing sound design is the hardest part. Never fails to inspire and educate this man!
I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. I loved your first sound design video but I always wanted to dive into more advanced and complex sound design. Now with this video I can! Thanks Polyjford.👍.And thanks for the code, it will be very useful.
Thanks!!! Althought in certain aspects my previous sound design tutorial might be more advanced in different ways (like adding reverb and such). But I think this tutorial covers more in-depth how I usually work with sound design, especially on these mechanical projects. So they should complement eachother nicely!
@@Polyfjord Agreed, this focuses more on the timing and layering of sound effects.
Great video sharing insight on a very overlooked topic in 3D design! Your artworks always have inspiring visuals and sounds. Thanks for sharing!
Appreciate it my friend!!! ❤️
I have used sondly since your sphere sound design video and this is one of my most loved tools, thank you for the suggestion and promo code ;)
Animated shorts have always been my favorite thing as a child. Although I'm not experienced with animation or sound design, maybe I'll get into it sometime!
Go for it! It’s more accessible than ever before!
Its awesome how you can request something then he responds with a full video. This is the best channel ever. Polyfjord never disappoints
im just excited to see that you made a little tank rather than a creature - as you've seen from my creations, they're mostly vehicles of sorts so you know i love this 😍😍
Yes I've always wanted to make a vehicle!! And then it ended up looking more like a swan instead
@@Polyfjord haha I think you are simply drawn to elegance and beauty
I've been using soundly after your sound design video from a year ago. Removes so much of the friction in the workflow, and it works directly in the composting workspace in Blender!
High quality explanation as always! Thank you!
Yes! So nice to see the entire process of trying a sound and the thought behind why it fits or not.
Thank you for sharing the process. I think my favorite aspect was watching another artist's creative decision making as the project evolves.
Hey thanks so much!! Yeah my initial plan for this tutorial was to write down a long clever document on everything I think are important to think about when doing sound design. Then I realized I'd much rather just sit down and record my entire process! So hopefully it's valuable for some. Thanks for watching!
@@Polyfjord - I enjoy this format from you most. It feels more natural and you do a great job of editing it down. Makes me wonder which is more efficient. It seems that planning it out extensively ahead of time would take more time up front but would save in the recording and editing time. I think it'd be inverse to planning less upfront and then recording an entire session, which might increase the editing time due to selectivity in trying to whittle it down.
I really like how details your tutorials are while still keeping them straight to the point ,and always with great helpfull tips . you are a greate teacher and creator!
remembered you introducing soundly back in the day and now seeing you have packs made for your videos .... very well deserved polyfjord!
Tell the Soundly guys that they gain a new user thanks to you!, going to get pro for my next project, wonderful tutorial as always. 🍻
Polyjord, you are so good that I can watch your tutorials purely as entertainment!
Really good tutorial and step by step journey thru your process. I will certainly give Soundly a close listen to as a source of sound efx assets. The sound design contest might be fun also. I hope we are not limited to just submitting one version.
Not gonna lie… The 3Ds are sooo satisfying!😌
soundly project team seems very friendly
OMG THE PROMO CODE
I had a satisfied smile on my face while watching this video
Amazing as always!
Soundly is TOP!!! That is what I need!
this man's brain moves faster than the speed of light. Your creations are things I could never think of... keep of the work
I am speechless. You are sooo good.
Wow im so impressed-all this effects are so juicy -love it ❤ Well done - congrats 👏👏👏
Looks and sounds real!
Nice tutorial! Very high production quality.
I want more more more! Thank you for great content! 😀
The way you are happy that u find perfect sound is priceless XD :D
Köszönjük!
Insanely good.
This is wonderful!
Brilliant
This is insanely underrate, Your work is ASTONISHING, this guy is like Andrew Kramer from our generation =)
This video provides a very good feeling ! Thank you so much 🙏✨
this tutorial is super dope
Very cool design of the "swan tank". I'm doing a UE5 VFX challenge and needed to learn about good sound sources. I might even use Mechanical Creatures for an animation challenge after seeing your swan.
Thanks Polyjford.👍 Great video, greetings!!
wow!
I was just about to ask for a tutorial for something like that. Thanks I hope this will help me out. 😊
we'd love to see another art prompt challenge :)
cool!
You are sooo fr%@king talented. AMAZING !!!
Thanks for the cod.👍 You'r Amazing
what that is dope I'm gonna have to hit them up for custom packs!!!!!!
something that could help brainstorming the sounds a bit, you can add markers in Resolve, title them with the relevant sounds, you can export the markers as text with timestamps :), then when you drag sounds back in they will auto-snap to markers as well.
That's really interesting, and useful, thank u so much, 😊
Thank you for everything master 😢
such a great video
the ambient sound tip was the best part
btw why don't you just use blender instead of Davinci?
Thanks!! When Blender's video editor gets EQ, Reverb and real-time EXR playback, I'll consider it!
Also I must admit it's quite impressive that your favorite part happens 24 minutes into the video, when you wrote this comment 15 minutes after the video was posted :P
Wauw so Nice :) let the competition begin 😍🥰🌸
WOW
You should make a mini series with these mechanical creatures, a series like Minuscule.
Wow, that rendering is just wow. I need to upgrade my gear 😢
veryy nice. detaill
For a scrape, two items are sliding on each other, but they remove small fragments of each other as they slide: the car scraped against the concrete barrier.
A creak is when two items (typically wood or metal) are not smoothly sliding: the old hinges on the door creaked on the house.
A squeak is like a creak, but is more like one fluid sound, normally more high pitched than a creak: the worn car brakes squeaked as the old car came to a stop.
A creak sounds like: rra-a-a-a-a-a-a...
A squeak sounds like: eeeeeek...
Hope this helps!
hey man, i love your tutorials, kindly could you tell us next time about the specs of your computer and how to get it. You must have a crazy computer to achieve this man, tell us about it
Completely useless comment here, but there are some low latency wireless headphones like the TMA-2 Studio providing an advertised 16ms latency (cable is 5-10ms). They require an external device that you plug in your sound output but this can be useful if you move a lot in your studio during your recording session. They are also probably more accurate than standard consumer headphones or ear pods.
Other than that, I can't wait to try Soundly. Thanks for the video. 🙂
Polyfjord I would love a tutorial on rigging the same as the model you used, or other. I made a motorcycle and I would love to rigging the chain and wheels, etc. I hope you take it into consideration, thank you.
Soundly is pretty cool. And so is the related workflow!!!
Unfortunately I am a linux guy.
While soundly in general works under linux using wine ... the drag/ drop function does not.
Havent found an alternative offering this variety of sound samples.
Was hoping for some homemade sounds.
👍
Hello, thank you for your good training. I really enjoyed your work with the program. I want the program belender I can learn from the basics. Can you introduce sites or channels that are useful in this matter if you agree?
how do do you animate those Chains from your mechanical creature kit I bought your kit but that watch chain Armature? how
I have been struggling on how to use those chain please help me out how to animate chains ?
Pls make a tutorial on how to make ocean and underwater animations. I need it pls.
How did you make the gears work perfectly like that? Love it!
Probably drivers.
For instance, if you have two gears with a ratio 2:1, you can drive the rotation of the larger gear by referencing the rotation of the smaller gear and dividing it by two. Just add a driver to the appropriate rotation transform of the larger gear with the expression "-(var/2)" and point "var" to represent the appropriate rotation transform of the smaller gear object.
Now when you rotate the smaller gear, the larger gear will rotate in the opposite direction at half the rotation.
Which bits work in Linux? Can they be used natively? I can't help feeling using Wine would have similar lags to using wireless/Bluetooth because the program would be being use a bit further down the line from where it would be via a native app.
Will you make another sound design challenge?
Please make a detailed tutorial for this
Hey where'd u go?? Can simlify tracking 3d objects into videos please?? Even if its the default cube
Please do a lesson on moving a robot on uneven ground
3:59 ding ding
But, how to make that sound effects? Like, from scratch and recording the sounds..
I just got set up with Soundly and I am having a bug where while I am reviewing sounds, after I listen to a few tracks, the application locks up and then closes. This is constant and I can't seem to solve the issue. I am curious if you have or if maybe anyone else that is using it know what I can do to prevent this from happening. Any help would greatly be appreciated! 🤗
Please upload new video! We miss you❤❤❤
❤️❤️ appreciate it my friend!!! More is coming soon!
Bro my car is not attached with plane tyres are going downside of plane I used rigacar but still not drivable on surface. I don't know what i do
Miss you brother
Hope to hear from you soon
Very very soon my friend!
Dear sir. Can you make another video which you show the bird animation I am very confused between the video and jpg.i watch your earlier bird animation video but I don't understand can you show some more detail with jpg reference image not video format use thanks.
How can I rig the tank's wheel like that? 0:16
I would like to know this as well, havn't found any really usable solution for blender yet.
Just.., how was the animation made of
I'm confused where and how to submite my sound design......
what would be funny is that you could add googly eyes to other mechanical creatures since you made this one look at the do not press sign, how can it see?
still waiting for the next artpromt challenge
I have a question if anyone can answer I would really appreciate it : soundly has a 24hour subscription for 9.99 euros. What is the point of that ? can you like subscribe and download all the sounds to your PC so you can work without a subscription?
@@modumaru390 you mean cheaper ? my question is more like, is it possible ?
After 24h you lose the drag n drop and search features, but of course you can download them, if you find a fast way to save to sounds.
Hi good morning😁
Is this software free ?
Soundly free as in cost, but offers a paid tier. So does Davinci Resolve, and blender is free as in freedom.
Yes! Davinci Resolve is free, and Soundly is free! Although I highly recommend using Soundly Pro which vastly increases the size of the Sound Effects library
Soundly sound like some sound dudes
sound design is difficult man.
Damn. I'm only 2 minuts in to this tutorial and I already want to smash something. I import my video to DR and it for some reasones shows as audio track. Tried different formats and have the same issue. Space ship interface doesn't help :(
UPD: Exported video from Blender with "No Audio" Audio Codec selected. Now DR can't even import my video file. What an amazing software.
