Thanks for hearing us brother! You are the man! I think a tuner can usually beat MPG's of a stock ecu since the stock ecu is optimized for a new engine. Honda's run for 400k miles, things change lol

Also would love to expand on the thermostat stuff. My buddy's tuner told him not to run a 158* race thermostat. We both have a honda v6 with the single port exit like the k20c1 and cast in Headers make the cylinder head hot, so keeping the coolant cooler should have its benefits, no? And although the thermostat opens early, that v6 has 0 issues coming up to temp and wanting to get to the 185 degree temp the fans turn on while stationary.

I have injectors from alpha injectors. My tuner asked and as soon as i told him he shook his head. He still tuned the car and everything went smoothly. I still feel like im getting yelled at through the video lol

Here's another interesting question related to thermostats - how do you diagnose poor coolant flow vs insufficient cooling system capacity. I've run into this recently. In theory, you dont want coolant to flow too quickly, or it won't have time to absorb heat from the engine. On the flipside, if it sits for too long in one place you can have localized flash boiling in the block

@devensautox4698 most swaps like this from what we see, have one or two coolant lines ran incorrectly so the coolant doesn't flow like it should.

Loving the videos Bob! One question I have for ya that I haven't found much of answer to online is how well the OEM honda canister style fuel filter holds up to E85? I'm considering just keeping mine for simplicity sake so long as it'll hold up okay. I would be replacing it once a year though. Thanks man!

@@RCautoworkswould be solid to expand on this in a podcasts or something. Also touching up on meth injection and it's power potential to E85. Some newer OEM style systems fuel system cand do e85 so meth injection comes in very handy. I use it because I have no E85 station near me and I need the octane to keep everything happy and knock free.
Also, how would you go about tuning 93+meth? Similar timing style as e85? Also what's more beneficial, spraying 50/50 water meth or pure m1 methanol. My tuner says water doesn't belong in an engine so he prefers pure m1 methanol injection lol. Sorry for the crazy questions, but maybe something to talk about in a podcasts or something
