Been following you guys since the early days, always great seeing these type of videos. Wish i lived closer to visit your shop. Keep it up and keep inspiring and spreading knowledge
Can you do compression ratio. For example if a car comes with 10:1 compression from factory. Doing a built motor on a turbo application on pump gas. What’s recommended
@@RCautoworks people usually say lower the compression regardless -1.0 of compression or more from stock. But tuning has evolved over the years so running close to stock compression for high hp build should be ideal? Less boost more efficiency for the engine, less for the turbo to work.. etc
This does kinda remind me of you chiming in on the forums back in the day. Let ‘em know! The FB groups are just as much if a mess now. Probably worse in some ways for sure.
Are vitara pistons/long rods still a good option for a D series? People seem to think a higher compression factory style piston is a better option these days.
Thanks for commenting, I will get this one down and also cover it. Do you know what brand or option people are recommending with a custom length rod so I can have something to compare
Okay, question from someone who is new to the boost world. Let's say you install a turbo kit at home. Would it be safe to drive to the tuner or to just trailer it. A similar question: Could you disconnect the charge pipe and drive it similar to a N/A car
Since there isn't really a myth and more of a question I can answer it here. If you stay partial throttle and don't try to get on it, you would stay out of boost. And yes as long as you're setup properly from a tuner you could drive it to the tuner. We had a guy last year that drove 15 hours to see us for a tune. I provided him a proper map before coming down and we did a couple datalogs prior. He drove it all the way here with no issues.
This Mythbusters series. You got something here for sure. It's free game 🔥
Appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼 Is there any other myths you'd like us to cover on the next one? We'd love to know!
Thanks!!! Let's get the channel the attention it deserves!!!
Thanks for being a loyal watcher and commenting ❤️ 💪

❤️ thanks man, it truly means a lot.
Make a video of tuning afrs and ignition timing. How to pull timing per psi
Will do
I like the series brother keep em coming

Do you mean if it's recommended more so cause its higher compression?

@MannyVQ that's what I thought you ment. Any engine you want me to discuss specifically?

Hahaha, what boards were you on? Honda-Tech? D-series.org?
The surge in k20s from the iacv is because it stops spinning and sticks. Remove it clean it out spin it a few times with your finger put it back in...
I just notice a issue recently my boost from 1bar drop till 0.8 wastegate 50mm I think this underboost will cause the flange gasket

@@RCautoworks I'm not really sure what they are using exactly but they are making compression out to be a game changer.
I don’t know if it’s talked about yet but is it okay to daily drive a built motor?
It has not, and I'll get it added to the list though

Is it safe to run turbo setup without bov vs with bov
Thanks for watching and commenting, I will add that to the list and cover it soon.
