To start off with he did 3 shows a night but it was 2 much so it went to 2
And for 7 years
Sometimes 3 shows a day 7 days a week for 5 weeks straight. From '69 to '77 its said he did 1,039 shows in 130 different cities and yeah its also said he never played to an empty seat which is even more unbelievable when you think of all the places he played such as the Houston Astrodome, Madison Square Garden, The Omni etc...
I saw him live, you will never see this charisma on stage again. So glad we have these videos!!

Elvis went from being The King To being drafted into the army for two yrs to seven yrs of movies .
So Elvis had to find his bearings this night . and it was for ever called the 68 comeback special.
To be gone from the public eye and rise up to new heights is and was unheard of and except for Elvis still is.
Elvis threw the leather industry into overdrive with tons of orders.
He would have never fallin .... Flat on his face .... EVER .... Way to much Elvis there to ever fail .... No matter what .... His destiny was fulfilled to be king .... Were do some of you people get your comments from ....

I saw Elvis in concert a year before he died. He was great!!!

When Elvis performed in Vegas he stayed for one month. Everyday he did 2 concerts. A dinner show and a midnight show. He stayed in the penthouse at the Las Vegas Hilton. He usually performed in Vegas the whole month of August and one month in December
That whole floor was his the room's were his staff when they built the hotel it was in elvis contract two have the whole floor of the Hilton international hotel

Hey guys, Elvis Presley on stage looking like that, in leather and moving like he did in the 50s, and singing jailhouse rock is a solid 10. There is no doubt about it. If you took that performance and brought it to today he kicks anyone’s ass. Most of his performances are 10s depending on you song choices. Also, he did 2 shows a day for 50 days in a row in Vegas for a long time. This was way too much and probably killed him in the long run. Ultimately you will come to the conclusion that his voice was an incredible instrument.
My idol from my teen days back in the late 50's & 60's. Used to wear my hair like him. It was called a Pompadour. Have many of his recordings including gospel. Check out one of my favorite Elvis movie "Jailhouse Rock" in which he sings this very same song. Elvis was 22 years old in this movie which was released in 1957.Excellent movie.🎤🎤🎤👍💯

2x year for 7 years he would have Six week residencies at the Las Vegas Hilton which is now the Westgate. In the 1970s he was pulling down $25,000 a show and when he did two shows at night this guy was making $50 grand a day

Ye Elvis use to do shows almost everyday and no one did tha, he did it bc he loved what he did and loved his fans and appreciated them, he once said idc if they rip Ma clothes or destroy anything of mine bc they gave me and made who I am and I’ll always appreciate them. Plus he’s one who started the American dream, and changed style of clothing around the worth and hairstyles. Check out “Trying To Get To You” & “One Night With You” from the same ‘68 Special it was like a garage jam session. He was rocking it with the passion he always has, he could barely stay in his seat he was really feeling it, the drummer was playing on a guitar case. Elvis loved singing Gospel Music too, not sure how interested you are in that but “How Great Thou Art & “You’ll Never Walk Alone” were big gospel hits. Elvis is only artist in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Blues Hall of Fame, Country Hall of Fame & Gospel Hall of Fame

Jailhouse Rock came from a movie he did in the 50s. There's a video of Elvis doing this song then. He kicks a lot of steps in that. You ought to check that out.

Hey guys, it was every day in Vegas. He was there for 30 days straight and did 61 concerts, so u can do the math. Artists will tell u today that their bodies could not hold up to that especially at the high energy and all the dance moves he put into these performances. Their voices could not hold up to that either.

Good performance Elvis in the black leather 1968 the original jailhouse Rock 1957 when Elvis first did it was the best by far he was awesome in 1968 performing this song but he was even greater in 1957 when performing this song the movie is also a classic Elvis plays a good rebel so legendary great video 👍🏼✌🏼

Mostly 20:30 pm & 00:30 pm . Ticket prices then? $ 25,- tickets excluding diner. You had to buy a table booth ($250,- a booth) for the evening at the Las Vegas Hilton and its then biggest showroom in Vegas of 3.500 seats (3 balcony's) The rest of the year Elvis was touring the USA and it's city's. 2nd: Elton John was a huge Elvis fan and met him in 1974 and his daughter Lisa Marie became a fan of Elton John's music. 3rd:

in Vegas he would do 2-3 shows a day, everyday for 2 months, then 2 months off (which meant touring), then back to Vegas. Ofcourse every show he did from 1969-1977 was sold out.
As far as i know, Elvis did 2 shows a day, 2 months a year, usually in August and Dezember. His contract ended in 1976.

This performance at the time caused a storm, his gyratiñg seen as to sexual & inappropriate for the teenagers of the day, as a result they banned Elvis from the waist down on TV. In the performance ELVIS goes up on his toes a move Michael Jackson copied & incorporated into his dance routine many years later😎
