Elvis was one of those rare performers that was better live than on record. In addition to his singing, he had every crowd enthralled with what he was doing onstage. Keep going, you're going find a lot of great music.
The eternal and mythical Elvis. This outfit is the one that Angelina Jordan (AJ) wears in "Suspicious Minds", in her tribute to Elvis. On that occasion Elvis uses the mythical red guitar that AJ also incorporates along with Priscilla's hairstyle. Evidently a scene created by his grandmother Mery from whom AJ received all his art and creativity. She is the genius behind the scenes.
I forgot how much this actually rocks. This great. Thanks for doing this. I love the look in your eyes when you're looking at elvis, it just is wonderful.
Elvis was greatest performer ever he sounded great live plus looking at him what a joy thank you Just pretend and Walk a mile in my shoes are 2 great songs to be honest list is endless thank you great reaction as always 😀
I hope You can find Elvis doing this one; It has the Props & Him and Other Men doing this Song & WOW the Dancing is Just WOW. It's here on YT somewhere.
I suggest going off the deep end and back to the origins. Numerous clips of Elvis on the Ed Sullivan Show. Hound Dog from 1956 shows why the earliest performances only filmed Elvis from the waist up. By the October '56 appearance showed the dance moves. As they said in the 50's, "You'll Flip Your Lid"
I can't remember if you've done it yet but man from this middle segment of the 1968 television special, you've got to check out Trying To Get To You, and several others where they're juzst sitting around with this old band and they didn't have a chance to rehearse and they're basically just front porch jamming and it's hilarious.
"Bridge Over Troubled Waters," 1970 I think is great. Someone already said it, Elvis is fantastic live. I'm a fan over 60 years and I watch live performances over and over. "Pledging My Love" is great but no video. The thing about Elvis was his voice got better and better. Even when he became ill, his voice was great. Then there's the Elvis smile. Rare to find a song where he doesn't smile at least once. I never get tired of him.
Iike your reactions to the king, his voice is God given, if you want a history lesson on him, check out Elvis and the black community, and any of his songs from the aloha concert which he was the first to ever have a concert that was beamed satellite to over 40 countries.
The whole 68 special was fantastic. One of my favorites from this special is Trying to get to you. Close up and dreamy. Must watch. Love Elvis for ever.❤
I remember watching this on TV and then I got to watch his live on TV from Hawaii! Yes I am old lol I am 70 and I was raised on his music ! I loved him then and I still love him so much ! I have albums, cassette and CDs of his music ! I even have movies of his concerts and all the movies he did ! So the only thing I didn’t get to do was see this beautiful man in person ! Thank you for keeping his music alive ❤❤❤
I wish I could do more but UA-cam started hitting me with copyright strikes so I can't do anymore Elvis videos. It makes me very sad. I am glad you liked this one though! ❤️
Shea, great fun reaction! You should really, really, really go back about 11 years (1957) and react to Elvis singing this in his third movie, the title of which is the same name "Jailhouse Rock." It's amazing, and it's said that Elvis insisted on doing the choreography himself of him and his fellow performers! Then, also watch him sing it on the Ed Sullivan Show that same year. The audience goes wild!
i remember watching this like it was yesterday and my Mom never liked Elvis and then after this show she said i change my mind and then the following year i went to the movies to see A Change of Habit and my mom said do you mind if i go with you !!
Great your geting into elvis, a few for yoh to try are, my way, american trilogy both from the aloha from hawaii concert, you have to do bridge over troubled water live, and, you lost that loving feeling, live too, keep them coming oh and suspicious minds live too and just pretend 🕺🇬🇧
You have to remember who is back up singer's we're. It was the Sweet inspirations with Whitney Houston's mom (sissy Houston) as one of the 3 black girls. Whitney stayed at Elvis's house with Lisa marie when there parents were out on tour. I have over a 1000 photos of Elvis that I took both on tour and at his home in Memphis. A back yard barbecue, him riding a horse and shooting guns in his 13 acre backyard. So many memories.
Saw "E" in 1970 1971 1973 1975 in Dayton oh twice ,Cincinnati once and Ft. Wayne Ind. In 1970 the ticket was $5 the last ticket was $12. I have seen Micheal Jackson. Prince, Garth Brooks 3 times nobody no body can hold a candle to the King. It is really hard to describe what it was like being in an audience when he came walking out. The sound of 20,000 people ( men and women) was almost ear shattering. I still have my ticket stubs and own a very rare one sided 78 with 4 of Elvis's songs on one side. One in 10 billion too bad he killed himself. I'm 68 and I still cry.
David So good to see and hear your first impressions of the King. Please watch King Creole. He was very young but really stole the show. Songs to listen and with videos; " Trouble, Mean Woman Blues, Dixieland Rock." This was his best movie according to the critics.
Please watch Elvis, Bridge Over Troubled Water, 1970 Las Vegas. Paul Simon said this was by far the best cover ever of Bridge Over Trouubledd Water. I'd like your reaction. Elvis can really sing!
Have you watched his early movies? Jailhouse Rock is a great movie, all the first few films are fab. He can act! Sadly he got stuck in the studio formula that he was under contract to and the scripts aren't very challenging for him by the last few movies. But he looks and sounds gorgeous in every one, you will be glued to your screen. Promise! 😊xx
Could you react to the song that got him in trouble All over the country, Hound dog. You should get the version from the Milton Bearle show, and the unredacted one (there is one where they cut of the song to early). Priest were calling him the devil, radios refused to play rock n roll and parents forbid their children listening to him after that tv show !
Oh, bummer.... Basically, you can't go wrong, with Elvis; BUT, you're not picking the best performances. Not a dig, really, because I'm enjoying your reactions, but ask whomever requests the song, for which performance is the best. So glad you've found Elvis, and seem to be truly appreciating him! ❤️
why, WHY😢🥺, you change your hair again, i think it was a ponytail? it had suit you so well, the kontures of your lovely face came into their own really well 😍🥰
Just The king.he was the 20 century star.i rember where i Was when he died.the World Was crazy.i never forget This day.he sold The Double Albums than Michael Jackson think on this.sooo big he was and Still is.for me its sad to See young people today with autotune and computers.its NOT art and Talent at all 🤣🤣🤣. Young people think this.learn to Play an instrument before OMG 🤣🎺
whenever the dude starts laughing on stage it's almost always his reaction to the womens over dramatic reaction to him dancing n shit lol. I'm sure he found it equally flattering and rediculous.
Thank you for reacting to Elvis! I love your appreciation. I can't recommend enough the following (all from 1970 Vegas shows): 1) Bridge Over Troubled Water 2) Polk Salad Annie 3) Just Pretend Not only is Elvis in top form, but his band and back up singers are outstanding.
Loving your journey through Elvis! There’s so much to see! Keep it up! This is such a great performance - absolutely legendary). You need to watch the new film! Another recommendation- watch American trilogy (aloha from Hawaii). Such a timeless song and elvis delivers a phenomenal performance !
Elvis was one of those rare performers that was better live than on record. In addition to his singing, he had every crowd enthralled with what he was doing onstage. Keep going, you're going find a lot of great music.
Wrong
.he was very good live
However, his critically acclaimed recordings are REVELATORY and innovative.
You are ignorant
@@bradhuskers Triggered from a post that was made seven months ago, fascinating.
@MacMc691
Your IQ level hasn't changed at all, it's still very low.
😆🤣😂
Great reaction! Think he did this in 68 and nobody still has been able to replicate what he did! Entertainment with a big E
Absolutely enjoy your Elvis reactions!! God bless my dear!! 🙏♥️💋
Young Dreams!!! Elvis did movies, and he sang for them too! Very underrated!!!!
The best looking man i've ever seen. Love Elvis, thank you
The eternal and mythical Elvis. This outfit is the one that Angelina Jordan (AJ) wears in "Suspicious Minds", in her tribute to Elvis. On that occasion Elvis uses the mythical red guitar that AJ also incorporates along with Priscilla's hairstyle. To really appreciate this song you got to see the original video 1957 when he showed off
I can't remember if you've done it yet but man from this middle segment of the 1968 television special, you've got to check out Trying To Get To You, and several others where they're juzst sitting around with this old band and they didn't have a chance to rehearse and they're basically just front porch jamming and it's hilarious.
You need to react to the 1957 black and white movie version of this tune which is considered to be the first music video.
"Bridge Over Troubled Waters," 1970 I think is great. Someone already said it, Elvis is fantastic live. I'm a fan over 60 years and I watch live performances over and over. I strongly encourage you to continue going on down the Elvis rabbit hole. It is well worth your time! And it’s FUN!!!
Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm for Elvis and his work. Love your show!!

You have to do bridge over troubled water 1970. His voice is so good.
You're learning! Thanks Carlie!

why is it important that you feel the need to mention the sweet inspirations?
Elvis always my favorite. You should check out his original Jailhouse Rock video from his movie
Saw "E" in 1970 1971 1973 1975 in Dayton oh twice ,Cincinnati once and Ft. Wayne Ind. In 1970 the ticket was $5 the last ticket was $12. I have seen Micheal Jackson. Loved your reaction, still waiting patiently for you to react to Elvis singing " young dreams".from the movie king creole.
One of my favorites he did was Kentucky Rain…

React to My Way, and react to Jailhouse Rock from his movie in the 50's. Early Elvis is a real treat
David

Wooden Heart. You get to hear him sing in German!
You are right
Elvis Presley was the very first rock star too own an mansion an jet plane and the first millionaire too in rockin rock music.
Jailhouse Rock is quintessential 1950s rock and roll, although this is Elvis' 1968 special. 1.o0
Promise! 😊xx
He also the first to use drums in a band
SUPER ELVIS , HalLeLuYAHshua +++++++++++++++++++++++
the last time in his career he didn't come off as a joke. In reality, after 1958 it was over. He was a shell of himself. Blame his manager and family.
Steamroller Blues {Aloha 1973 } I washed my hands in Muddy water
He was cool 😎 before cool was out. 😊❤❤
The older suspicious minds is a million times better in Vegas its a must seeeè

So glad you've found Elvis, and seem to be truly appreciating him! ❤️
You should check out his Jailhouse Rock from the movie
Do you want to combine your Elvis streak with your Geoff Castellucci songs? Geoff did a cover of Elvis called Way Down. I think you'll like it.
did he do a cover of the song or did he do a cover of Elvis?
Check out the jailhouse rock dance movie scene 👌😉
You should watch some of his movies. Kid Galahad is fun.
It's unusual seeing it played backwards, it's not. the right way around. Anyway, thanks very much.😀 🤟
