You know another wonderful trait of Elvis, was that he could connect with everyone!! So Friendly. I'm sure you have heard the stories of how much money and cars and homes he gave away to the poor. He was one of a Kind.

This was a great Elvis song to play at parties in the late 60s & early 70s. Everyone loved Elvis, & even though we lived in New Zealand & never saw Elvis in concerts, we loved it when a new Elvis record came out, & that was all the excuse we needed to have a party.

I'm old enough to be your grandma, there is just something about watching you that I enjoy. Maybe because I have grandsons around your age. YOU make me smile , I'm proud of you for finding something you love and making it into a job, (so to speak). 🙂 I Love your videos. I love music, period LOL. Music from my generation was the best. If you have not yet reacted to Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" from The Wall Album, I'd love to see you react to that. I'm curious what you think..

For those who are too young to remember, before Elvis was deemed King he was nicknamed Elvis the Pelvis. They refused to show his lower body on TV (The Ed Sullivan Show) because the way Elvis moved his lower body was considered perverted. It was mild compared to what you see nowadays.

I just know you'll love all the 68 performances! Check out all of the 68 Comeback special performances. It is truly amazing. If you want more like this one, where he stands and sings, you should check out the medley of Heartbreak Hotel / Hound Dog / All Shook Up 1968 Comeback special performance. I've been trying to get you to check out his sit down performance of Heartbreak hotel, because of the personality shown in that performance, as it's a little more laid back. Elvis always loved working with the rhythm section. Which usually was the drums. He’d stand in front of the drums on stage and just follow the the rhythm. This was from the movie Jail House Rock and his dance routine was wild with the prisoners suit on. You’d love that even if you watch it by yourself for fun. Thanks again❤❤❤😂😂

Dive down the rabbit hole. Elvis Presley was blamed for being racist. There is 2 videos of Elvis Presley and the black community. He came from the projects or the ghetto. In the ghetto is also about that. He is a very talented interesting life. Being drafted. Watch the movie Elvis that just came out with Austin Butler. His grandson is laid to rest at the Graceland with the Presley family.

Man, I'm really happy that you pointed out how much energy the band was giving as well. Ronnie Tutt is just going nuts on those drums and the bass line is a fast walking bass line which is fantastic, and then you've got that Hammond organ in there wailing away like at church or in an old blues joint. The guitar line wasn't as prevalent but it was also adding lots of energy too. So damn tight. That crazy fast lightning swivel crossover knee drop thing and then bouncing right back up makes me feel I just blew out every tendon and ligament in my knees forever, laugh.

    • @juliebarrows8149

@@juliebarrows8149 I guess Wikipedia with no but I think you're right, I was just emotionally responding because I watched so much of the Vegas stuff and others going forward right after this, so in that sense I have no idea who is in this band at this time other than in the middle segment were he had his original drummer DJ Fontana who's drumset wouldn't fit on the stage at the last minute so I grabbed Elvis's acoustic guitar case and uses drumsticks and maybe he finagled a hi-hat or something and then they have somebody else at the edge of the crowd doing a tambourine and so forth.

Oh, he did already. That was his very 1st one and he did not like it at all. He got so many negative comments because he just was not impressed because he kept on saying that performance was nothing like a Michael Jackson comparison as he had heard about. Most of the comments was letting him know that is just one song of 700 more. Thankfully he gave Elvis a chance and he fell down that rabbit hole!

You are so cool and knowledgble on music. Thank you for discovering Elvis. I discovered you this morning! I am 71 and remember so much. You probably know he went into the service. Rumor has it he later wanted to do more for his country and worked in the CIA. Many think his death was an assassination.
As for the uproar about him and his performances, when I was younger my Mother, a singer herself, felt his movements on stage were too extreme almost porno. He once explained that even when he was young he felt the music and that is the way his body and soul reacted. Thanks again Pzo. Love your comments and videos.
