Elvis really didn't care a lot about his songs being number 1 on the charts like music people do today he love music and entertaining people all types of music his favorite was gospel music he's the only musician to give to his fan that's why he was the king and loved so much That's why his fans never forget him no singer in the world could say that only elvis the best in the world
Yes it's from his film Jailhouse rock great film he choreographed that whole scene that was 1957 he could move was way ahead of his time thank you both stay safe 😷✌
YES ITS from the 1957 movie Jailhouse Rock, keep in mind there are different Elvis eras, this was early elvis, several movies, then the 68 comback special, then vegas shows early seventies, then the Hawaii worldwide satellite special from '73
Great reaction! ELVIS was and is the greatest Artist of all time! This was the first Video ever! ELVIS had so much Sexappeal and looks great! Thank you guys!
Great reaction. Music videos didn't become a thing until the 80s, but you'll find many scenes from his movies that are similar to music videos. This scene would have made a great music video...or a scene on the stages of Broadway. Iconic stuff.
Choreographer Alex Romero created Jailhouse Rock, the iconic Elvis Presley production number, but never received screen credit for his contribution. This book tells his story. The son of a Mexican general, Romero escaped the Mexican Revolution, joined his family's vaudeville dance act and became a dancer in Hollywood. Part of Jack Cole's exclusive Columbia dance troupe, he was eventually hired as a staff assistant at MGM, where he worked on Take Me Out to the Ballgame, American in Paris, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and On the Town, among many others. When Romero transitioned into full-time choreography, he created the dances for numerous films, including Love Me or Leave Me, I'll Cry Tomorrow, tom thumb, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, and three additional movies for Elvis. Known for his inventive style and creative use of props, Romero was instrumental in bringing rock and roll to the screen. This biography includes first-person accounts of his collaborations with Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, and others.
This scene was from the movie "Jailhouse Rock". During 1994 people had to write in and state there favorite song. They wanted to determine the first 100 most popular songs. Jailhouse Rock was number. What makes it so amazing is that it was done in the 1950's and Elvis had passed on in 1977. Wow.
Elvis’ Dad was in Parchment Prison for forging a check so he had money for food for his family. Elvis was 3 yrs old and took the long bus ride to visit him. The check was changed bcuz Vernon felt he got ripped off fro the check was altered, not by much either, he was sentenced to 3 years ( I think) but did 8 months after Gladys ( wife & Elvis’ Mom) started to get people to sign a petition to get him out earlier, she had to move around a lot to have a roof over her head, stayed with family and worked all the time, she picked cotton, Elvis was with her, she did other people’s laundry, she was a hard worker. Elvis stated that this had a big impact on him, he felt that he needed to take care of them, esp his. Mom. She died pretty much as he became famous. Yes this is from Jailhouse Rock. The other movies King Creole, Loving You, Viva Las Vegas, I loved Change of Habit, but that probably has to do w/ being raised in a Catholic family and taught by nuns. The first two I mentioned are the best as far as critics go..
Elvis ended up in emergency surgery after doing this dance sequence. Atooth cap came loose and lodged in his lung. He needed urgent surgery to remove it.
You guys should watch Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan show performing peace in the valley. He goes really high pitch and brings me to the feels every time. Great videos guys, keep up the amazing work ✊🏼💕
Elvis has a music video for Blue Suede Shoes that's pretty good. He was young like in this video The only Elvis movie I've seen was Blue Hawaii, and it is worth a watch like a comedy/family type movie
There were few actual music videos from anyone before MTV a nd the 80s. They were clips from movies and shows. This one was from the movie of the same name. It was his third movie just before King Creole. They're both good to watch. King Creole is the better drama. The critics called him a good actor for the first time. Jailhouse Rock may have the better music. Loving You was Presley's 2nd film and it was in color. In that movie there's a music video(if you can find it ) called Mean Woman Blues. In that clip Elvis busts a move called "the sideways moonwalk ". If you get it you'll like it.

@@trudywolfe2795 it’s a scene from a movie. Not a “music video.” Just as, like I stated, there are scenes from hundreds, if not thousands of other movies of performers singing and dancing.
