    Very very good video! Great detail and camera angles. Thanks man. Bout to pull a clutch off a buddies bike to see what is going on. Just as you say. Tough shifting...very sloppy to get it into neutral...the light even shows but the bike isn't in neutral, and I can feel it dragging. Thanks again for the video and I hope you make more.

    Good video, just one question and i've looked all over having a hard time finding the procedure for hydraulic clutches. Once I reassemble the clutch pack, i have to keep taking it for a ride, take off the cover, adjust a 1/4 turn each time or half, just can't seem to dial it back in to where it was before. Got any input on this?

    Does the sharp edge of steels face in or out?

    Behind the first friction disc are two rings: one is flat and the other angled. Not paying attention, I removed them to clean and now don't remember which way the angle ring goes in. Can anyone help me with this?

    • @norsemencustomcycles7289
      @norsemencustomcycles7289  3 роки тому

      The flat thin ring is your damper spring seat. The angled on is your damper spring and it will be orientated in the clutch hip so you see it a concave. And they will be added first and in that order.

    How do you know when the clutch bearing goes bad?

    after adjusting my clutch cable, soon i ride my bike few miles my clutch lever starts to get all wobbly lots of slack and cant change gear what can it be.

      Throw out bearing or the ball bearings in the ball and ramp assembly could have fallen out.

      @@norsemencustomcycles7289 Thank you so much, I don't think i have a throw out bearing, my clutch it like yours so it might be the ball bearing will give it a try this weekend :)

      Almighty Teacher, related to ball bearing question, I'm not sure if I hear your video well, but I think you conducted two ball bearing tests using the clutch lever to verify if the ball bearings were still in place during assembly.
      First test before adjustment.) Pump clutch lever once, that was before the adjustment cable internally.
      Second test after adjustment.) Pump clutch lever three times, after the adjustment cable internally.
      If these two ball bearing tests (before and after) adjustments were done and a ball bearing was missing, What's a failed test look like when a ball bearing is missing? Also,
      Will this ball bearing test work for Sportster models too?
      Thank you.

      Absolutely great attention to detail! Little clattering going on so time to tackle this job. Appreciate the knowledge!

      @@claresmith7227 a failed test will will have tension initially and once you pump the lever the tension will dissappear.
