    Great video ,I've a 06 dyna street Bob & I'm just wondering why does the belt squeak so much when the wheel turns 🤔 thank you

      @@damiendyle they all do it. It's a rubber belt the teeth can make some noise on the pulleys. It's also extremely exaggerated because the camera is so close to the source of the noise.

    I hear of races walking back, but, the question is why! Don't assume it was installed incorrectly. Is it because of a bent main shaft, clutch abuse or high RPM?

  • @milomanx6531
    @milomanx6531 2 місяці тому

    You did not have to grind it off! All you had to do was loosen or remove the main shaft nut on the right side and push the shaft to the clutch side. It will move about 3/8" Then the tool will fit!

    Do you think that putting a little talcum powder could help protect the belt (like there is on the inner tubes) and also reduce friction ?

    suzuki savage 650- ..has marks like tape measure on back and some marks are higher/like every 4th 1 is taller. so earier.. but the jam nut when torqued... changes the belt on the back sprocket .../every dam time you torque it lol... so is added guess were marks be when tight hahahaha dam nightmare! still. im live dirt road nd the belt is way betterthan chain !

    I have watched a lot of different tutorials and many are very good. What I like about this one, is you smoothly transitioned from each step and explained why you are doing what you are doing! I found this excellent. And..... there is nothing wrong with learning something knew no matter how many years you have been riding. 30+ YEARS for me and still learning something new! Thanks bro!

    Hey Mr church thanks for the info however I believe I have to start from o again it was a bit frustrating to put everything back together on my 03 1100 Shadow Sabre but I enjoy wrenching and fixing things myself with the limited knowledge I have the manual held a lot when I’m stuck but not much illustration on cable adjustment I have beyond free play throttle and your video reaffirms I need to redo it step by step with the same patience you displayed thanks again psi I have the attitude that nothing mechanical can never intimidate me or discourage me 😊

    Thanks for removing plastic guard so we can see tension, just watched a video were guy left plastic cover on and you could not see tension of belt, I determined today mine was too loose compared to exact bike that was just serviced. I have no concern about doing adjustment without the tool, very good video really not much different than adjusting my older chain bikes, thanks for good video
