Very well done. Each step was explained in a manner that was easily understood. What I liked the best was you also explained why you were doing what you were doing. Thanks! Job well done.

I really did like your video you got straight to the point not a lot of bullshit. Lotta people don’t do that very informative. Thank you very much. Keep doing good work.

This video was very informative. You broke it down easily so I could understand it and completely in a way that I can apply it to any starter situation. Thank you. I am looking forward to watching part 2.

Great video ! Thanks for all of the detail that you went through, showing how both ends of that starter come apart and all of the little bits and pieces.

Great video! I'm not a mechanic, but replaced my starter with the help of your video, keep em coming, my chain tensionors are next, maybe you can help with that ! Thanks!

You took your time, and did an excellent job of explaining everything step by step. Now I need to scrape together enough ambition to tackle the starter on my 1990 Springer. Some years back, during my semi mild performance build, (80cu/80hp), I shaved the stock heads 030. I built a bigger field starter which really put an extra load on these components. It clunks and kicks back badly, I'm surprised it has lasted as long as it has. It might be a good idea to install compression releases, but once you can get it to "bump" over the top, it will spin fairly decent with a strong battery.

Awesome video bro you did a great job. Totally helped me out because I have to change my starter and hopefully that will fix my starting problem because my bike clanks and clunks like crazy when I start it and I already replaced the ring gear of the pinion gear and the commentator and it's still clunking like crazy driving me nuts 🤦🏻‍♂️ lol

I would check out the ring gear on the clutch basket. I've seen a few that have a out in the trans show up as starter issues. Or could be the sprag clutch inside the starter.

I have an 03 FXD with that same starter. My brushes are around 350 one thousands of an inch. Not close to the 433 you state as spec. Where can the brushes be purchased. Having trouble finding them. Thank You.

Yes as soon I have another bike come in with a bad starter. I am trying to juggle owning a busy shop and a youtube channel. Aometimes youtube has to take a back seat. In the future, I will not release multi part videos until the whole series is complete.
