Power house of a drummer. He hit so hard and yet had the speed and precision to keep everything lined up perfectly. I've watched a good amount of Pantera live shows and i haven't heard him make a mistake once.
Seen Vinnie with Pantera, Damageplan, and Hellyeah. His intensity and ferocity was and will always be unmatched. It's almost like those drums knew they were going to get beat to shit. Made you almost feel sorry for those skins.... ALMOST.

Sure there are all these "Faster" metal drummers out there, But Vinnies style and personality behind the kit is what makes him my favorite. I know he uses triggers too, But his drum sound was always perfect and on point.

Vinnie Paul played with balls; he was a power house! Amazing, skillful, innovative and drummed differently from his peers…. He was a phenomenal drummer

@@dime_stealth4203 I use shallower toms and I'm no "new age shit" metal drummer. I find the shallower sizes give a kick and less muddied sound without triggers.
Back in the 90s I remember saying to people in my band , I've been listening to this kind of thrash / funk kind of band , the album was cfh, I converted the band into pantera fans . Then vulgar came out and was harder and heavier we loved it . When far beyond driven came out it sealed pantera as the one and only thrash ,groove ,metal band that recorded and released harder ,faster ,heavier metal than all the other bands around them , at the time most of the major thrash bands were cutting their hair ,wearing skater clothes ,and trying to fit in with the emerging nu metal scene . His drumming is a voice, that future drummers won't be able to replicate, and shouldn't. Every musician has a signature sound they should be proud of.
Yep. There's a bunch of people that cover Vince's shit but it's never the same. He had his own way of doing thangs.
I agree, Vinnie deserves his glory, but it's sad we won't here rythms (improvisations) like this anymore
