I've met Ray several times. This is exactly how he is when you first meet him. He's very approachable and seems to have a great deal of gratitude for the things around him. He's earned all of it. What a monster player!!! 🤘
I really hope that Korn realize how lucky they are to have him in their band. He is a pro who could do any gig...and could probably be making more money elsewhere. But he obviously digs the band thing and is happy where he is. A lot of people don't realize how elite he is in the world of rock drummers. He is one of the tip-top guys.

Yea me too, his cymbals are all dented & wavy lol, mine are started to do the same, guess from hitting em so hard. But just goes to show how good Sabian cymbals are also. God Bless 🤘🥁🫡
It took so many years for Korn fans to accept Ray. But he's earned his spot. Of course we all know David's kit and weird jams but Ray has his own style. It fits today's sound of Korn.
I can understand why it took them a while to accept Ray, but at the same time, I couldn't understand it. I accepted him right away. His style fit perfectly with the sound of the band, and he never looked out of place. Korn could not have picked a better man for their style of music. David was a beast on the drums, and Ray is flawless.
I remember seen a video of double bass drum exercises that Ray done for Pearl, was one of the best beginner double bass videos I've seen. He's such a good teacher, he was the best at explaining it. 👍
@@prodchronic No doubt. I loved Silveria when he was there but Ray can play circles around him, it's not even close. He makes Silveria seem like he can barely play.
Ray is really the only one that can play Korn it’s been a great pleasure to see him perform Thanks to Korn and Ray for decades of great music, memories and great times
I watched a Ray Luzier drum solo on youtube once and I realized Ray is a modern Bonham. He has the chops and the skill. Ray knows when to flow, Ray knows when to put on a show. Just like Bonham. And, in solo-ing; Ray is phenomenal, just like Bonham.
Love that Silveria was always known for having a china up front too and how thats also one of the things Ray is known for, too. Two of my absolute favorites
I'm a truck driver from Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada. I've delivered and picked up shipment's at Sabian in Medutic New Brunswick. Had tour there and got to talk to some of the cymbal makers that have made both Ray and Neil Peart's cymbals. I have pics of their small museum, great people to talk to and happy to show off the factory.
I first heard Ray live in 2013 on the “night of the living dreads” tour and they were playing narcissistic cannibal, and the man probably hit harder than Mike Tyson in the 90s. A fun drummer to experience
Helluva Guy!!! Had the extreme pleasure of meeting him recently in Atlanta. He's so down to earth as is his family who were sitting close for the show. I asked him about the kick drum setup and he says they're more for aesthetics than anything else...super nice guy and has a beautiful family!
I love the colour of the drums 😍😍😍 They look sooo beautiful and Ray is so cool love how easy he is when he talk with someone just like your old friend.
Just saw them live last weekend in KC! Incredible drumming. Not to mention he is able to do all those showmanship tricks with his sticks. All without losing his grove or creativity. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a fair bit of improv too with some of his fills and effects parts.
So let´s get this band on tour, let´s see what we need. A pa truck, a lighting truck, a backline truck and.... a drum rack truck 🤣🤣🤣 I love that crazy stuff 😂👍
What a great tour of that beautiful kit, and Ray is such a badass player. Saw him with Roth and with Korn. Nasssssty. Nasssssssssty!!!!! Great video, Thank you!!!
Totally. They are extremely fortunate to have him...and that he is happy sticking around. He could easily make more money playing for some pop star. But he obviously wants to be a band guy and not a hired gun anymore.
Thank you, David and MD for bringing this to us. Ray comes across as a real gentleman (as opposed to the way he plays) and is truly a monster player. A great role model for up and coming drummers and us older guys too. Legend!
Ray's a G.. what a beautiful kit. I'm gonna try those sticks. I already use 5Ax and I also hold my sticks loose and way back. It allows me to have power and play whisper quiet in an instant.
This was such an awesome video! WP is my home town concert venue! You threw us a stick. It has a 7 on the butt of the handle and a 67! Now I know! I wondered!! Maybe it played Hey Daddy or Shoots and Ladders?? Slower songs on the set list. Love your passion for drums! Crazy how quiet the sounds are behind the speakers on stage. You can hardly hear JD. & yes it is a kick in the chest to us in the crowd! Thank you for this video! -Arica

I KNOW Ray is awesome at drums. I've known for a long time, but I'm always blown away seeing him play live. What a monster.
This is one of the most gorgeous kits I've ever seen in my life.

Always so weird to me how people can die on that “original lineup” hill over having better musicians

A true instrumentalist. He makes the drum kit come alive and really sings to the crowd.
One of the best and nicest, most genuine guys in the business!

I love Ray's playing so much! He's so smooth on the kit even with full power and his drums are insane!
I could watch Ray play all day long. What a great drummer and showman. Thanks Modern drummer

Out of any touring kit right now, I have always felt Ray's would be the most fun to sit behind and play. So Rad!
Matte Black 🖤 drums look awesome with the red ❤️ Remo drum heads! Nice to see Modern Drummer doing a drum cam 📹 view!!! Kids go start a band!
Is that black nickel hardware or just straight black hardware?
How much Ray loves what he does is oozing from him and its great to watch. The dude seems so happy to have this gig and play the drums for people
Ray luzier is a beast on the kit I love his set up
One of my favorite drummers! Hands down your the man Ray🔥🥁
one of the best rundowns... love ray

Ive seen ray play in rl. It is a true experience. That man is a master of his craft. He is what a pro should be. Nothing normal.

Cool guy and great drummer
Ray is such a great player and super nice, love this guy ❤️
Incredible performance! fantastic insight into Ray's world behind the kit.
Ray seems like a really down to earth kind of guy. His playing is top notch, amazing!
Loved his work in the Hideous Sun Demons project he did back in the 2000’s.
Man those look killer! Something about red and black that just looks awesome.
THey've been opening with HtS for YEARS. LOVE IT!
They change it every now and then to a different song. But yeah HTS is one of those consistent openers.
What a super cool dude and awesome drummer.🪖🥁🤘
Fantastic drummer and showman.
Being a drum tech for Ray, and travelling with Korn feels like a blast of fun.
Incredible drummer and it’s great to see Korn hit a peak 30 years in

Was just thinking the same thing a week ago, when listening to that album again.
Can’t wait to see him play tomorrow night at the Moda center!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
