"Rich" is a relative term. The minimum wage was $1.60 in 1972. That glamorous island resort is now just a chain hotel with reward points system and can be grabbed on a expedia for a deep discount.
A glamorous island resort in HELL.
Wow, ur going back, I remember minimum wage in 1980, was $2.80, because I worked at a BP gas station making that 2.80. In 1980, I was 15yrs old.
Love boat twists into a horror fleck !
Omg i have been wishing for this whole movie, you rock thanx!
A perfect movie for a miserably hot July day! Thank you!
OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS MOVIE, WELCOME BACK!!!
Great movie Great plot I Had to watch it Again
Even though i enjoyed this i feel that the story could be improved so a remake would be a good idea. Thanks for posting.
Well, that depends on who would do the remake. Disney or Lucasfilm would completely destroy it.
Thanks TVTERROLAND for all the great uploads. And this particular movie is quite compelling. I really enjoyed it. Great plot, interesting dialogues and good acting. Thanks again, from Brazil, South America
Was very well done , I enjoyed it a lot once they arrived.
The girl with the long light brown hair and the white mini. In the beginning. Oh my God!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍.
Many many thanks for sharing !
I love how at first you assume the twist at the end is that they're all dead, but then halfway through they bring it up and you're left wondering what'll happen all over again. Man this was fucked up. I love it.
The beginning of Fantasy Island.
"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."
Who writes lyrics like that? Don Henley, that's who !!!
This is how The show Fantasy Island originated from.
No, the masters of this world wrote it... he just sang it.
Story of my life
wow, what a cool movie from back in the day, ty for sharing!!!
I really love this movie
A lot of great stars in this movie! :) My favorites! Ed, Cloris and Donna!
Yeah, the stewardess's never losing her friendliness makes this even creepier than if she had...
Great cast
A strange and novel idea very interesting so long as you're not too fastidious as to how it all hangs together. Many thanks for up-loading it.
"I'm right on the cusp, so I think I'm a Scorpio..." omg!!!! so very 70's, believe it or not, we did used to talk like that! love it!!!!!
Aw c'mon, don't we still talk that way? Now I miss it.
The man singing the theme song sounds like he is constipated.
Some people still do now! Kinda drives me crazy 🤣
Very interesting movie. Your channel is great, love it. This was an unusual one. Very watchable. cheers.
Remember seeing this in the late '70s as a kid and later in the '80s, it always reminded me of Fantasy Island.
Excellent movie. The ending was very fitting!!!
I love that endings were unpredictable back then. Now you can see how it's gonna play out before it's halfway through. It's better if it leaves you with something to think about.
Originally telecast on September 20, 1972.
The day I had cherries for the first time.
The day I kicked Mrs. Pelkie, the first grade Teacher in the knee and told her not to hurt my friend Karen. It was the year after this picture was taken.
@@lorimiller4301 You were a good friend! ❤️
This movie telecast was also this film’s director-his very own birthday.
Portals of Eden....euphemism for Gates of Hell.
I like the Ed Asner room. It was perfect for him.
Although, the other rooms make me want to redecorate my house. ha
I always thought Lost ripped off this film for their entire plot
They did rip off a movie, but not this one.
Twin Peaks as well.
Fantasy Island may have gained ideas from this movie.
@@budderkupp1282 Bingo! This is exactly the t.v. movie that inspired Fantasy Island..This movie was a Aaron Spelling production, like the majority of the ABC movie of the week films. in the seventies the joke at the network ABC stood for "Aaron's Broadcasting Company" Lol.😁
@@roxannesantoro7503 OMG!! That's hilarious!!
Pretty good. The ending was not what I expected.
Awesome movie! Loved it!
Really good movie. I first saw this back in 1972 when it first came out as a made for television movie. It always stuck with me. I got it years ag on DVD but seeing it on here is even better
