Good video on the Fangs Metal Distortion, I was waiting for this one. A suggestion: A Pedal Face-Off video between the Fangs vs Eyemaster vs Boss HM-2, YEAH!
Good review man, I just ordered one.....keep up the great work!
I bought one a few months ago, it has lots of versatility and works great for bass as well.
Great vid man....I love it through fx loop...I’m gna pick one up as I’m in the process of getting a Seymour Duncan powerstage...keep up the great work man...
Awesome dude subscription clicked
Seen these being sold used and this video has me sold
Id love to see a face off of the fangs vs metal zone
Thanks for another great video, Dome! I was wondering if you have done pedal stacking with the HM-2. For example, instead of using the amp's high gain channel and staking the HM-2, putting a distortion pedal like the Revv or the one on this video first on the signal, and then stacking the HM-2. That could be interesting!
Yeah, I have one, where I do this kinda... "Where to put Pt. 2 - Before or after the Amp" or something like this ;)
Pedal works really well for good black metal tone.
I bought one recently and found the output volume to be quite low. Great sound when you dial it in, but it's nowhere near the same level as the Eyemaster volume-wise
Weird, in front of a distorted amp only in scoop mode the knobs other than volume seem to have any effect.
I have this pedal and I like it.
I kinda hoped I could get chainsaw-ish sounds in raw mode, but to no avail.
However, you can get some nifty 70's rock sounds in raw mode if you dial the gain down.
Does your pedal have the same problem when put in front of the distorted amp?
I didn't like the tone on this pedal by itself as much as Line 6's "Insane" tone. After buying an EQUALIZER and dropping the super high and super low, then boosting the mid highs and the mid lows, slightly scooped, i got EXCELLENT tone from the TC Fangs. Buy this pedal with an equalizer and you can get very sick, heavy, Pantera scooped or mid blasted Cannibal Corpse tone with the TC FANGS. Great for Thrash, Brutal Death, Tech Death and Black Metal, all ranges are accessible with an EQUALIZER and TC FANGS. Any thoughts?
I agree, I think an EQ-Pedal is a good secret weapon for most of the mediocre Distortion sounds to tweak into greatness ;)
@@DomeNightbearer I have a TC Fangs and 8 Ball EQ from Joe. I've been trying to get the right chainsaw tone from the combination but no luck. Have you tried the 8 Ball after the Fangs into the front of your amp for the chainsaw tone and if so, how? Lol
This should be doable. I haven't tried the fangs tho, I used an SD-1 most of the time
Kinda reminds me of the pantera Zach Wilde type sound oh wow this has even got boss pedals by the balls
Do you think this pedal can be used as a clean boost instead of a regular tube screamer?
to some extent it can, but there will always be some distortion coming from it.
I like raw
I bought tc fangs and i never test it but i found out when i press the bypass it has no clicks sound is it ok?
Yeah, it has a weird switch, should be totally fine
@@DomeNightbearer thanks sir subs to that keep making videos🤘
This pedal can't be beaten for the price point.
2:57 :)
That bitch almost chainsawed, didn't she?
Edit: I'd love to see pink noise at this setting. Do it DOME.
Damn
she remind me the boss metalcore ! a really good pedal. But not for metalcore (i do not listen metalcore)
