    Rabae is to me today what Dimebag was when I started playing guitar. Hes iconic in the sense he changes how I see and play guitar. Despite the two playing a very diferent style of music, Rabae has a sound unique to himself that is not only heavy and gutteral, but also has some of the most ominous and soothing tones that show the range of his chops. Its crazy how humble he is despite his success.

      Totally agree. I also really love Danish Pete's playing and tone . I love hearing the whole andetons crew rocking the high end epiphones. They make them sound so good and with my eyes closed I would think I am hearing custom shop gibsons . Their epiphone 59 videos are fantastic displays of great tone and playing. I have recently also been Heavily influenced by Jack of peach guitars. His tone and playing are killer He has changed my taste in tone and I have been able to get quite close to tome and his playing style is influencing me as well . Johan Segeborn has also been a big influence on me the last couple of years. His playing style is really great . Its very much a tone lovers playing style. Both Jack and Johan are able to get the best out of modern Gibson pickups. They have made me fall in love with the modern Gibson PAF style humbucker tone . I was all about replacing all my gibson pickups with Duncan's and I still have Duncan's in some of my guitars but Johan and Jack have made me fall in love with modern Gibson humbuckers an I now prefer them to most Duncan's with the exception of my seth lovers and whole lotta humbkckers but the custombucker and burstbucker families are just as good and in most cases I like the gibsons better these days

      Kind of thought so too at first, but the more I hear of these the more I'm thinking it absolutely was a right call. The speaker (and the cabinet) is very well voiced, and thus gives a unique twist to the sound that sits very nicely in a mix, and live setup. And, as mentioned it can always be paired with an external cabinet for some 12'ness when needed. 👍

    The Marshall Origin is a fantastic pedal platform. I have a 50c and my favorite pedals for chuggin with it is an 808 into a Nobels ODR-1. The speaker combo of choice with it is a DV77 paired with a Jensen Nighthawk. The tilt knob is what makes it such a great pedal platform. Dime the tilt for your Marshall Plexi tones, and if it gets too bright, adjust the tilt.

    I like my Marshall Origin and the foot switch came with it so I don't see why using it to turn on the effects loop would be an issue. The foot switch has a boost switch too so you can use the effects loop and hit the boost from the pedal. Works well for me. The Origin has a great clean and you can get it to drive and break up if you want.

      The screamer and particularly that fuzz are no joke. The EQ also does the job but is noisy.
      Wish they had shown the hidden totally unofficial mode on the fuzz - now that does melt faces. The boost is also extremely useful - I use for recording synths all the time.

    • @PureJadeKid
      @PureJadeKid Рік тому +2

      Agree, especially the lower mid range, nothing compares with Ibanez if you care about the weight of the guitar. Also the Sterling by Music Man midrange guitars compete with the Mexican Strats that cost twice as much. Also, getting a used Sterling or Ibanez gets you the best deal of all!

    That Squier neck singlecoil with the Marshall and the reverb sounds is exactly my thing. Great sound. I would have boosted it with a Boss GE-7 to get more versatility and wouldn’t even need more gain.
    I think I need that Behringer Fuzz, though.

  • @christopherguzzi1316

    Rabea exercises excellent restraint for not using the trem on the Squier until the very end as he knows it would completely knock it out of tune. Good product demonstration.

    i have that valeton and it is really rather good! my 2 bugbears are- the drive comes before the fuzz (i'd prefer fuzz first because of the impedance fuzzes like to see, and because the drive would tighten and focus the fuzz), and secondly there's no fx loop- other dappers have this and i'd like to be able to put other drives after the D and F built in but before the delay and reverb.

    Love this video! Keep in mind that the Marshall Origin 20 combo is a 10" speaker not a 12". That's probably a contributing factor to the lack of low end chug. I have the same amp and LOVE it! Keep up the GREAT videos!!
