Personally, any type of flirting with anyone other than your significant other is a big no. You can be friends with someone of the gender you like, but there is no such thing as “innocent” flirting. If you’re wanting that type of attention from someone else, there’s a problem. If you feel you have to hide that friendship or how you treat that person and or treat them differently if your significant other was around. You know what you’re doing is wrong and stop doing it :) but this is my opinion. ♥️

I agree with you to a point. I agree that if you have to hide the friendship its an issue. but flirting in a way can be very heathy for a relationship. as long as you don't exchange numbers or meet up. I don't mean sexual flirting but if you find a person attractive and youre going to be co workers for instance so you will be seeing a lot of them or y'all go to the same school lets say: its all psychological, if you find that person cute but you're in a relationship you will make that person much bigger in your head and it can cause an emotional distance between you and your partner because you are curious about another person. However if you speak to that person and form a friendship of sorts strictly in that place, it makes you realize they are nothing special and you assert yourself as a whole individual who other people will also find attractive just like your partner will undoubtedly find other people appealing. You cannot be one with your partner 24/7. Have a good time, flirting is fun. You walk away feeling sexy and cute and that person does too and y'all leave it at that.

If you find someone attractive it’s nothing wrong with holding a conversation. If it doesn’t leave work and doesn’t turn sexual then what’s the big deal. My husband has a work friend that's a woman that he's gotten really cool with over the passed few years at the office. They were onboarded at the same time and ended up having cubiles close to eachother. It doesn't bother me at all! I think establishing the boundary right away is very important, and if the other person doesn't respect that, then avoid them at all cost. They both have pictures of their spouses in their cubicle and make it well known around the office that they're married to other coworkers. She's a really sweet girl, also married, I'm tight with her and our husbands are tight now too, we double date and go to their kids' birthday parties.
That’s exactly how my mom and godfather met, he was engaged at the time. ASIDE from those isolated cases, it doesn’t matter if they’re married you never knkw

This happened to me a lot when I worked as an admin at a dealership. All of the (married) sales consultants would flirt with the admins constantly. They even would bring their wives in to sign paperwork with us if one of the consultants wanted them to co-sign on a vehicle they were purchasing. These men just wanna feel like a hot shot who can have the wife and kids and also a piece on the side. The admins could all see through that bullshit, thankfully.

Omg I'm the same about personal food bc there was this lady that would bring food to our churches events and it wasn't until my mom and I went over to her house for my mom to bring her something that I saw the behind the scenes action. SO many cats that were all over the counters and table while she was making food. She would pet them etc. She would lick her fingers and keep touching the food she was making. She scratched her scalp and her back and none of this would she wash her hands. Her house was so dirty. It gave me major trust issues to ever eat homemade food again.

I've had this happen before but it was only because I was running their accounts and then it became a habit which I didn't like and I was young and didn't know how to set boundaries. In the end I walked away from that job and blocked everyone who knew me from there. Dating co workers is just a No, because then it becomes awkward and people start being in your business just noo. Just wait until one of you leave the job to date.

as someone who’s worked in an office for almost 10 years, i have a lot of guy work friends and that’s it they’re just my friends - i would never call them work spouses that’s gross they’re like my brothers.
