  • My OG's remember when this happened and when I tell you I was FUMINGGG! Let this be a lesson to all of you...NEVER feel rushed when someone is asking for your signature. Read EVERYTHING. Advocating for yourself is a learned skill that comes along with life experience and I hope that this story resonates with all of you and teaches you a thing or two about not being caught slippin! Listen, this world depends on you to not know what you're talking about. To now know your own rights. Take the extra time and make decisions with logic and not emotions. Be wary of the rude people you'll meet along the way. Don't let their attitudes deter you from standing up for yourself. This is how it went for me lol can't nothing ever be normal lolll I love ya'll so much but God loves you more XOXO Nikki

I don't think those period tracking apps are good to use. It's really invasive when it comes down to all kinds of crap they can do ans hack with technology tbh. But you do you, I wasn't trying to sound shitry at all btw ❤ I just have a strong mistrust for much of tech they push to ppl now a days mostly. Like Alexa for example ans ahit like that-no thanks. I bet they'll be using our grocery store loyalty/discount cards to influence our insurance premiums and transplant list recipient eligibility etc in the future. 😂

@@aleahamarrie6415 I use flo. And I think after using it for awhile, it becomes really accurate for some reason? I am extremely irregular with my cycle but my app can still tell me the exact day I start. It also tracks ovulation, and it helps with if you're trying to get pregnant/not pregnant, and other lil things like that. Personally I like it the best, but definitely do your own research to see what works for you! :))

@@karivitou2816I totally understand where you're coming from!! I understand perspective of being a lil paranoid over your information, and with how it is nowadays? As you should! 👏 I definitely am protective over my info, but personally, this is the only way I can stop ruining my clothes/sheets 😂😭 And I could learn all the detail about the menstrual cycle, and write it on a paper calendar but to me, convience is key 👌Having 3 surprise periods in one month is no bueno.

Listen, I haven't finished the video yet but I have to say, in terms of Mike this is EXACTLY why I refuse to go anywhere not dressed cute. Even if cute is just athletic wear, men specifically WILL treat you differently if they find you attractive. A lot of ppl say it shouldn't matter and no it should but it does. We live in a world where it does so set yourself up for success 🤷🏾‍♀️

I feel you on it when I was going to school. I used to always make sure I was put together anyway, I look presentable even though we were wearing uniforms and everybody looked the same but I genuinely liked looking put together and I still do like that it’s just nowadays it’s hard to do it, and my choice of where doesn’t even coincide with what I want to look like and where I met in life now and it’s extremely hard to get to that point and your retro to coincide and where you are in life like the person I want to be is this person that is always together that’s always put together and I’m looking for that soft girl living with a touch of professional wear what are also a little bit of lounge and preppy I think some people forget that presentation matters like you said, even though it shouldn’t, it really does matter you how you look how you present yourself plays a big part on how people treat you in this world

Girl!! I had my daughter on my 17th b day. Although i was young i matured very quickly bc i had no choice. When she was 2 i noticed she had a speech delay so i went to get her evaluated. Now i was 19 but i but i literally looked 12 lol. So the first speech therapist they sent me to was very dismissive. I had 1000 questions with a pad to take down what i should be doing at home in conjunction to the therapy. She was short with me didn't want to explain anything thoroughly and was overall an asshole. It was clear she thought bc i was young i wasn't intelligent or didn't care. I said to her verbatim "I know i'm young but i am her mother and i would appreciate if you would treat me as such. I would like for you to be very detailed in your responses so we can work together to get my baby where she needs to be. The manner in which you have been discussing this with me thus far has been completely unacceptable. If you have an issue i will take her to someone else and report you for your incompetence." She stared at me for a moment and completely changed her tone and attitude but she never apologized. She became very detailed in her responses and was overall professional and helpful. I still took her to someone else anyway bc i will absolutely not be leaving my baby with you 😤. After then i started learning to do make up bc her teachers treated me the same way and i was tired of putting every single person in their place before getting respect lol

@@ashantim8734 Thanks girl ...it was so ridiculous having to do a full face of make up to take her to Dr's appointments and parent teacher conferences. None of them would take me seriously unless I had make up on or put them in their place after the disrespect smh. If I missed a day from wearing make up they treated me like I was a brand new person. That was truely exhausting. She's 26 now and she is having the same problem bc she looks so young. She doesn't have kids tho luckily so it isn't as important as it was for me. She just ignores it as long as her business gets handled.

People depend on you not knowing your rights, not knowing what you’re signing, just being oblivious- they love it when you’re oblivious-it’s easy to steal from you, persuade you, take advantage of you.”
What I took away from this video is that you must learn to advocate for yourself.❤️

I had a very very similar experience with Jaguar… right down to managers & supervisors ignoring, screening calls, never calling back, hanging up, etc. In the end, I had to hire a lawyer just to send them a letter to “scare” them into doing the right thing. It was eventually rectified, but I had to fight tooth and claw for months against the enormous corporate monkeys. 😅

When I started shopping for my car a few years back the fresno Audi sales reps didn’t acknowledge me or bother to greet me when I was shopping. Girl this is soo true, thanks for bringing it to light. This needs to be a well known quote "the world is banking on you not knowing your shit." I don't know how many documents I signed when I was younger because I didn't know and I trusted when they said just sign here smh. Another quote "if it's important enough for me to sign it's important enough to read!" Love you girl ❤

You should always leave your home put together the best you can. You never know who you will run into and like it or not the first thing people judge you off of is your appearance. So if you go out looking a mess and expecting to be treated with professionalism it’s probably not going to happen.

Man and women in customer service are alike. Each time I walk into Ulta, I never receive assistance. I receive stares, but never assistance. The cashiers sometimes ask, "Did you receive assistance today?". No ma'am I never do.
I see Ulta as a place to have a self care moment. A place I should have a great experience. The recent trips have been a disappointment. I will shop at my local pharmacy or drive to the closest Sephora for assistance.
Thank you Nikki. This video served as a life lesson we can all relate to. ❤

This has happened to me before. I was in college, and the staff in the administrative office kept ignoring my incoming phone calls when the office was empty with no students. I watched a woman stand there chewing gum and barely glancing at the phone and ending my line multiple times.
I calmly walked in and asked her why she ignored my phone calls y times, and I saw her hang up on me while staning inf ront of the door. I told her if she couldn't do her job to assist me, then find someone else who could do her job for her because my patience has run thin.
And it was so silent you could hear a pin drop.

I hate dealerships. My car messed up because of a recall that I had not been notified of yet....... they charged me claiming they did updates on my car.... like I didn't ask for the updates.... my dad is a mechanic. I not longer had a warranty and I wasn't gonna pay.... I paid in that moment but I looked through my whole paperwork and I called back companies and for a refund. I did tell them that they weren't gonna get me cuz "I was a girl " and the manager was very offended by that. I got my refund.... later to find out they didn't pay all of my rental and the rental company tried to get me for partial payment of the time I had my rental. It was $200 but I made a claim with my bank and I told them they needed to charge Toyota because I was NEVER notified about the recall. The recall was on my brake and guess what was not working ... my brakes. I literally hate dealerships. Most of my experiences are bad
