I compare the Versastack suitcase, middle, and roller sections against the new Tradestack suitcase, middle, and roller! Who will win this epic showdown?!
I was just in Lowes and the one thing I like about the Versa Stack is the one box with the two slide out drawers. Surprisingly smooth roll-out action. I'm looking for something smaller to go in my car trunk to hold some camping gear. The Versa Stack should fit nicely in the Honda Civic.
Thank you @Tool in Hand for this comparison. I bought the Tradestack today and there are a couple of basic functions that are making me consider returning it: 1) the handle on the top unit is really hard to lift and I was never able to extend it fully and 2) the small containers in the top unit are extremely hard to open - Questions, please: is there a trick to lifting the handle or opening the lids on the small containers? Thank you.
My experience with the versa stack is that the clips on the front come off. This has been a problem for others as well- one person suggested using zip ties to keep them attached. I like the adapter idea, but it’s only available when you buy the rolling box or the full stack. Hopefully they consider making it available separately.
The versastack and the Stanley tstack and the dewalt tstack remind me of the husky system I have for locking the boxes together similar to the dewalt toughsystem 1.0 and 2.0 were the tradestack the lock system I like were the release is in the front but the issue with that versastack adapter not good @Tool in Hand
In hind sight, if you have something on that adapter being thrown around enough for it to release, you have bigger problems. I still like the Tradestack.
The price is right for versastack! I have multiple boxes and I love it. That trade stack looks like it is a new cheap COVID-19 product. Definitely buy something that is tried and true like the versastack. TX JMAN ELECTRICIAN
I just bought the trade stack today and as soon as I tried to put the handle down I noticed that the button is hard to push down; didn't get stuck but it's very hard to push down for raising or lowering
Do you know if the Versastack red containers are the same size as the tradestack containers with lids? I just ordered a drawer unit that I want to use for a bunch of hardware and need containers for it.
Do you think its worth getting the Versa Stack (which seems to be getting harder and harder to find in my local Lowes) or perhaps something more creative like the Ryobi Link stuff? I have the Ridgid rolling boxes which are outstanding but like the versatility of the Versa system. I see the Trade Stack in the stores now but there isnt much or any for add ons.
I wish the trade stack was out when I bought the versa stack. First day on the job the clip holding the handle to the boxes broke and spilled out all the tools down a flight of stairs. I now use a ratchet strap to hold it all together.
I tried both and I went with the tstak/versastack because I was able to get drawers. I got the dewalt T stak trolley so I am able to put the drawers in the bottom and the boxes on the top. I found it way more convenient for my use. If tradstack just came out with a bit more stuff I would have gone with it but price point and more varieties goes to the T-stack in my opinion. Btw I found both systems to be very very close in dimensions but I gave tradestack the winner because of how ridged it was.
Thumbnail of the year!
Thanks!
Yeaaassssss!
Very nice comparison and informative video @Tool In Hand
Thanks for the info !
Thank you for the comparison it was great. I think I am going to go with the trade stack.
I bought one today at Lowes!

Great informative video Bro @Tool In Hand
Thanks for visiting, bro!
I've been looking for the circ saw vacuum adapter forever! Will you please share where you found yours?
The plastic latches on the trade stack are very strong and haven't given me any issues past 2 yrs

The handle doesn't extend all the way for me either. It's still functional, though. The lids will loosen in time. Thanks for watching!
What are you talking about?
@@toolinhand the boxes are hard to open for a reason. it prevents stuff coming out and migrating when the box takes a bump.
The Tradestack is defenitly larger has more storage room then the versastack or stanley tstack and the dewalt tstack

I really wish they'd also consider making versa stack latch kits aswell, so that you can make accessories out of 1/2" ply and wall/truck mounts.
i haven't met a door passage way get that my versastack could not fit through. Compact size!
i got the radio and bit kit that is versa stack, but then got the tradestack bc its bigger. ugh. thank you.
I have a craftsman 270 PC mechanic toolset, its comes in a 3 drawer versa stack box, but I am going to get the tradestack and slap that on top
Versa!!!!!all the way I think

@@toolinhand good points
Being almost half the price imma check the versa stack out

Has anyone else had the trade stack handle button get stuck so you can't get the handle down?

Yes they are!
I noticed the big box at bottom lid did not open 90 degree. Does not stay open.
I just double checked it, and it does. I guess I didn't show it properly.
@@toolinhand Thanks, it seals the deal.
Hello, do you by any chance have the height of the handles? I cant find them anywhere
They're both 39" raised, 24" lowered. Sorry it took so long to respond, your comment was buried under others.

I don't know much about the Ryobi Link. The Tradestack is compatible with the versastack, though.
The tradestack has the best attachment system
VersaStack is much better quality with a better handle. Don't want some big U-Shaped handle bar that reminds me of a walker.
Damn wish they used metal latches
Other than that, they're an improvement over Versastack.
Yea I’m not that worried about the latches being plastic on the tradestack
I'm in Dewalt I probably should have gone with craftsman
I wish the trade stack was out when I bought the versa stack. First day on the job the clip holding the handle to the boxes broke and spilled out all the tools down a flight of stairs. I now use a ratchet strap to hold it all together.
There is a warranty on it
@@toolinhand I did exchange it for a new one. Now I use the ratchet strap so I don't break the new one.

Tradestack drawers are out now. lol
The trade stack is calling me and I'm trying to resist 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 versa forever
Wish the handle on the tradestack was removable like on the Dewalt tough system 2.0. Way better than versastack imo
Anything is removable if you use enough force.
theres a video for that. I've seen it.
Dewalt is expensive yo
