  • The Craftsman Tradestack tool storage system is a versatile and durable option for organizing and protecting your tools. This system includes a variety of stackable tool boxes, organizers, and drawers that can be customized to fit your specific needs.
    One of the key features of the Tradestack system is its modular design. Each tool box and organizer is designed to stack on top of one another, allowing you to create a customized storage solution that fits your space and tool collection. This also means that you can easily add more storage as your tool collection grows.
    The system is built with heavy-duty, high-impact plastic construction that can withstand the rigors of a busy workshop. The boxes are designed to be water, rust and impact resistant. The drawers have full-extension ball-bearing slides that provide smooth and easy access to your tools.
    The Tradestack system also includes a variety of convenient features, such as built-in locks for added security, and oversized handles for easy transport. Many of the organizers and drawers are also designed with specific tool storage in mind, including compartments for wrenches, sockets, and other hand tools.
    Another great thing about this system is that it's affordable and customizable to your needs. You can start small and add more as you go. It is also compatible with other craftsman tool storage products, so you can easily expand your storage options as your needs change.
    The Craftsman Tradestack also has an adapter to easily and securely mount the Craftsman Versastack line of tool storage and modular tool organizers to it.
    Overall, the Craftsman Tradestack tool storage system is a great option for anyone looking for a durable and customizable tool storage solution. Its modular design, heavy-duty construction, and convenient features make it an excellent choice for both professional and DIY use.
    I would recommend the Tradestack as a good option for DIY or as a professional option for effective mobile tool storage.

    I'm an electrician working out of a pickup truck. I just bought this to consolidate all of my tools. I also got the tool bag (wide open). Just packing everything into this makes a huge difference. Plus I can carry everything into a house at once. No need for multiple trips to the truck. The other brands at the hardware store were similar enough that I didn't lose anything by buying the cheapest set. It's going to take a few weeks working out of this to see if it's a good fit, but I have high hopes already.

      I've been using mine for a year now as I'm between houses and moving. It's worked out quite well. I've got all the basics plus some of the specialty stuff. No real complaints so far! A few more accessories might be nice, but that's not a deal breaker here.

    I LOVE Tradestack boxes. They fit a niche for me- not to big, and lightweight, but big enough. And my versastack/TSTAK boxes all stack on top

      I'm really enjoying mine. It's a pleasant size. It's tough enough and at a price point that made sense at the time. It would be nice if they had a few more options like the Packout, but I really can't complain. I've got a Craftsman 1/4 and 3/8 socket set in top that holds via the Tstak. It's a great setup to take with me and know that I've got the all normal stuff I'm likely to need. It's not big enough to make crazy heavy, and still have a little bit of everything.

    Thanks for the video. I really like this set. For me, seems like a good solution for truck tools on the go. The only issue I have is I wish there was a base to lock it into place when traveling. I.e. like the Milwaukee pack out system - they have shelving and base units you can install in your truck to keep in place.

      I totally understand. I now have almost 2 years on the Tradestack, it's become my toolbox that goes to the track. I'm using a tie down to tie it to existing shelves in the trailer. It represents a good value to price, I really wish it had better support with accessories like that. It's like it was built then forgotten about. I've been keeping the Versastak socket and bit sets on top and they've proven to be nice to have and easy to find stuff when I have help at the track from someone not familiar with my box. I'm using mine all the time, going places, or around the homestead where something may be broke in an inconvenient location.

    The verstack tower is on clearance at Napa for like $75 now. It’s a great deal. I bought 2 of them.

      Not a bad deal at all! These are decent portable boxes that I don't think ever really did that well in sales numbers.

      I've heard that about the Dewalt, I'm curious how well they actually fit. I've been using my Tradestack for several months, I like to be able to adjust my tools to what I'm going to be doing. If I'm going to repair a fence, I need different stuff than if I need to go fix a tractor. My problem is that I still try to be bring too much and it's needlessly heavy!

      I got the big rolling tradestack,a few drawers, and the open top crate all tradestack. Then I have a ton of tstak boxes and a few versa stack totes. They all fit together perfectly.

    Biggest flaw still plastic latches! Still never learn

    • @SnowFamilyRacing
      @SnowFamilyRacing  8 місяців тому

      Plastic latches do tend to be more problematic than a full metal latch. These don't totally suck. If someone is rough with their stuff, then these are more likely to have problems. For my use, they're holding up just fine.

    I returned mine. I do remodeling. In and out of jobs. First time I used it there's a flaw. When you go down stairs the part on the back of the rolling box catches on the step
    Don't they field test ??

    • @SnowFamilyRacing
      @SnowFamilyRacing  8 місяців тому +1

      Stairs are going to suck. That's one thing I know it won't do. So far, I've avoided stairs, and I can see how that's not an option for you.

    Show us a side pic of those drawer slides... they look like steel ball bearing slide style.. not just a plastic on plastic friction slide

      How do the roller wheels work? 10 inch tall or so?

    • @NonieTools
      @NonieTools 11 місяців тому +1

      They drawers are metal ball bearings. They are very sturdy. I have 3 drawer boxes because they were on sale for $50 each recently! And the wheels are I believe 9";

    Other than the cord wrap on the handle, I wish that you would have tested that more like pulling back on it and maybe twisting it. Amazons complaints seem to focus in on the handle as been the stacks nemesis and reason for returns/refunds. Can you or anybody comment specific to the handle holding up through your testing process or actual work place use? Is it all plastic or metal mix? Does it collapse and extend? That is the main support system for the entire stack, if the handle fails the whole system fails. Any comments?

    • @SnowFamilyRacing
      @SnowFamilyRacing  8 місяців тому

      The handle is not the main support for the stack. They latch together. Yes, it's a metal and plastic handle, and no it's not the toughest part of the box. I've dragged this into a field to fix a tractor and horse pens. I've dragged this through gravel to get to cars or just plain move it. As long as you're sensible about how you wrench on the handle, it'll do just fine. If you're the type that just grabs and rips on it, it'll have problems. This handle works well enough as long as you don't do dumb things to it. I've got 18 months of moving mine around, and the handle still telescopes and works correctly.

    But when you put a versa stack you can’t put a trade on top of that. So versa ends the tower

      I've got both, to be honest, that the tradestack is more useful because of the size. I believe that the sliders are very similar, but I prefer the tradestack feel there, too.
