  • We decided to pick up the new Craftsman tools Trade Stack Pro system tower from Lowe's Home Improvement because we wanted to put it through our custom series of in house tests. If you have been watching our channel for awhile now you will know what kinds of tests we run on tool organizers and tool boxes. These test we run with the new craftsman tradestack system boxes should not surprise you but the craftsman will not survive these tests! Let us know your thoughts on this new tradestack system from craftsman tools in the comments section below.

    Happy to see Craftsman trying to make a solid comeback. Cant wait to see what the hand tools made in USA are like . I remember a time when Craftsman was a solid USA made non tool truck tool option .

    After watching this video I got myself a tradestack rolling box to attach my Tstak boxes to. So far it's a great setup and I'm getting the drawers next.

    As a young cat, I grew up in my grand dads auto shop hearing pneumatic tools turning and craftsman hand tools as the tool of choice. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for craftsman

    I’m impressed with this. Looks like a good build. And at $149, I think you are getting a great value for the 3 pieces. Pretty cool how it integrates with the DeWalt offerings. You definitely did some solid testing. 🤣 Great video, well done! 👍🏻
    Favorite storage system is the Milwaukee Packout.

    this is why VCG is the real deal...what other you tube tool channel will spend $150 on boxes....put a $100 tool inside and run it over with a truck or drop it off a roof...nobody...especially if they paid for it....great job VCG and thanks for keeping it real 👍

    Not gonna lie, I’m pretty impressed. Don’t generally expect the highest quality from the brand but I see a lot of value in this stack for that price point. Solid review @VCGConstruction, well done 👍

    Defiantly impressed- I haven’t owned any craftsman’s tools for about 20 yrs now- that’s a lie. I still have a craftsman miter saw that’s at least 20 yrs old & still kickin.

    I'm more impressed than I thought I would be. I love that it fits versastack and toughcases both. I keep a lot of bits, blades and small parts in the large and medium toughcases.

    Im impressed, dont think I would ever need that much toughness, but a good demo. I have versa stack bit cases am glad it includes adapter with set.

    Found your video because I was thinking about buying one of those but wasn't sure how it would hold up, and was debating the 45 minute drive to Home Depot for DeWalt, Milwaukee or Rigid, but after seeing you guys put it through the torture test, and it's sale price, I'm definitely going to get it now. Awesome videos.

    Just bought a set and added the drawer unit. You can access all tools just about with: roller box, drawers in the middle , and the tool box on top . It fits my Makita charger in the drawers, open drawer, bam instant charging station 👍. The drawers work well and not too heavy like the other brands that are too bulky. Hoping they hold up to in and out of jobs ....

    I own the regular Versastack rolling tool boxes and it's been great. If this goes on sale during this holiday season, I'll totally pick up the Tradestak. Great video!

    They look good and strong but to me Ridgid and Milwaukee still doing the best Tool Boxes out there

      @@dservati11 yeah Milwaukee is expensive but rigid is 146 for the 3 stack. They have a sale on individual boxes that puts the 3 stack at 120

    Decent box for a decent price point. If I were on a limited budget, or buying this for a new guy on the crew, this would be a go to.

      Youre right but at least one guy thought it was smart to buy this. For the price.. It's a steal! For some holding back on buying this it's because the trolley handles still made of plastic

    Just purchased mine from Lowe's for a current sales price of 129.00. Seems like it'll do the job for me as I don't plan on putting in through the neat tests I just witnessed. Thanks for the video.

    And you used a US-made Craftsman tape measure to go with it. Nice touch there. The interchangeability with (sister company) DeWalt is also a nice feature.

    Just purchased the Milwaukee set and am very happy so far , would have considered other brands but the local big box didn’t have much of a selection. One thing I will say is that organizer trays should not have a hole below the handle, otherwise all those small items in said tray seem to find their way to the bottom of the box, and Milwaukee thought of that

    Why can't Dewalt make adapters for tstak and toughcase so it will fit on Toughsystem boxes? If they did this everyone would definitely buy more tools,lol. Kind of odd Stanley decided to make such a versatile system for craftsman. Now I gotta go but one! Dam! Lol.

      They just might, don't be surprised if Dewalt takes on this style of box too, I couldn't believe how easy it is to stack and unstack these boxes by far better than any system out and has the ability to be the versatile out there

    Always been a craftsman guy. Took a break for obvious reasons, rough patch. But within last 5 years they are on a good run. I have a trade stack it is awesome

    In the airline industry, they say the purpose of the case is to protect its contents, hence you can’t put a claim in for the damage of a suitcase only. In this case, the case did pretty good protecting it contents.

      The water seems a bit odd. Because who the hell is going to leave their tool boxes in back truck to get rained on? For thieves to see and steal them? It did hurt my soul a bit watching you drive over the top box. Lol

    If they go on BF sale this year, I may pick 1+ up, but for now I really do love my Toughsystem 2.0 set, which I got last fall, thanks to this channel. If I do get it, though, they're REALLY gonna have to be an incredible deal, cuz I'm looking at more TS2.0 and possibly some Packout as well.

    Another great trustworthy review of the tools and accessories needed to help make work life a bit easier and hopefully a bit more profitable when buying VCG certified quality products👍👍👍 I like the latching mech on this craftsman version better then the Dewalt tough system 2.0, but wonder if its as durable long term.

    Really like the trade stack. The one thing I wish they had were points or slots for tie downs on each piece. Other than the handle, there isn’t much to grab onto/through when securing.

    I might catch some flak on this one, but I like the Makita Mak Pak system. They definitely are not meant for slamming around and tossing around. But it lets each tool have a designated box that can also hold accessories and a battery or two.

    I like the inner boxes that have covers, i own the ridgid system but if i don't i would buy this system and put some of my craftsman tools in it. .

    Like it better than my dewalt and it's less expensive to . Purchased mine early black Friday for $100 all 3 stacks DAM can't beat that.

    I think hazard lighting for working at night on high ways or rail would be good to see .Also motorised drive system at the wheels and a three wheel stair climbing system luxury I know but I like too be feeling fresh and safe when working in hazardous situations.
    Great review and that's my go to srack system 👍

    Brutal tests but I’m with you they seemed to pass with acceptable levels of damage.

    cheap for how it performs, not sure how often id be dropping my stacks off a building so seems like a good purchase. Only problem is that milwauke has half stacks that can accept full stacks

    I almost bought it, but the tray that makes versa stack compatibil comes off really easy, and i have a big craftsman mechanic toolset with drawers and that was why i wanted it, so i went with the versastack , got it for $50 off and i got the extra 2 drawer versastack box , for $120 at Lowe's

    Hi Guys!!! Awesome tests Vince! The Craftsman boxes held up well! Hey Vince, I remember you doing similar testing with DeWalt and Milwaukee Small Parts Organizers, but not the ToughSystem or Packout regular toolboxes.     What would be the best way to make a togo/truck tool bag when you have loose sockets and things of that nature? This would be in a trail bag in my Jeep when I do off road events

    Not too shabby, looks like another Keter built storage set. Only other thing I’d say is take it out on job sites for a while for some long term durability testing. I’m curious if the stacked pieces will stay locked together very well with accidental bumps and slams, as there didn’t seem to be many connection points between the boxes.

    I bought this a few days ago when it first got to my Lowe's. I'm not liking the adapter. It doesn't fit in the clips very well, it's very difficult to get the large DeWalt bit case to latch on, and just pops off the top of the tradestack with minimal effort. Maybe I got a dud, but not a fan of the adapter. Enjoying the more space compared to my Versastack. Hope they make more boxes soon.

    We had 4 pro stacks for 1 hour, as we had 4 versa stacks before, and was looking forward to that. That adapter plate was awful, wouldn’t hold and I realized we could have bought 2 packout stacks with extras. Turned around, returned the pro stacks and bought packout. That was a great decision. The pro stacks look great, feels fairly decent, however packout felt unbeatable.

    I bought a husky stack set at the home Depot not a bad set beside the fact I crack my bottom container other than that it's been good to me the last year worth it for the price I paid definitely like this one better but still want the Milwaukee pack out but to cheap to spend that much on a box set lol

    It would have been nicer to see the extension cord roll up on the back a little bit bigger but it comes down to who builds the batter box and that means you have to compete with Milwaukee. Have a good night brother
