Doing a cover of someone from the opposite sex is rarely seen, idk how Chester pulled this off. And LIVE! No audio alterations from the studio.
Otherwise did it much much better.
The secret to how he did it is... he’s Chester
He definitely had a very high voice for a male, and I'm sure that really helped. Especially since he hit higher notes in other Linkin Park songs pretty consistently and with seemingly relative ease.

Chester's vocals were incredibly rare and versatile. One of the main reasons I love LP is because of his voice. The messenger, the little things give you away, sharp edges are good examples of his clean vocals.
Chester was just an absolute beast. Linkin park really helped me get into different genres of music. Starting with the rap and rock. Hope hes good wherever he is now
Youd have to physically experience Chester live in concert to truly understand the emotion he put into his music

if she likes Chester singing slow songs, the live version of "Pushing Me Away" is just Chester with Mike on keys. very slow and chill... such a great rearrangement of that song
When Annie started feeling it proper towards the end was something special to behold itself
Chesters voice was pure magic. Hearing it now brings me to tears as he left us way too soon. I'm 55 and I've never heard anyone else sing the way Chester could.

I love the constant looks on her face of raising her eyebrows while pulling her head back slightly like she was slowly getting hit by greatness over and over and then by the end just melting into it. Yep. Chester does that.

I had no idea Linkin Park did a cover of one of my favorite Adele songs. Fantastic job. Chester has been and will be missed.
That guy was one of the people who makes me want to believe paradise is a thing. Such a voice, a tortured soul who helped so many people (including me) with his voice and talent. The day he passed away was a huge blow to many.

This re-post helped me remember,because Annie (or Miss Glitch as i also call her) tells you here that she really likes performances,where its vocals maybe just accompanied with just 1 instrument. Is she familiar with Amy Winehouse`s songs? Rihannas?! Then let me ask: Are any of you 2 familiar with Angelina Jordan? She won Norways Got Talent at the age of 8,in 2014. She just turned 13 in January this year,so not too far from Annie in age,and they do look abit alike. Rocking the long,dark hair look,and both looking very cute ofc lol. Anyway,Angelina has done tons of covers,and she did Valery by Amy Winehouse.....her parents took her and her little sister (wich is her backup dancer in the video,absolutely adorable) with them to Venice Beach,and filmed them just goofing around. She was only 12 when that upload came on YT. All i can say is....listen to her voice! She also did Rihannas "STAY",with only what i believe is her older cousin on guitar. Many of her followers are allready claiming that Angelina does a more emotional version then Rihanna. Agagin,if you havent heard her....listen to her voice! 12 Y.O when they recorded this! If Annie doesnt know about Angelina yet,she will absolutely LOVE her! "Stay" is for sucking you in,very emotional,very beautiful! "Valerie" is to put a huge smile on your face,maybe even alot of laughter,but at the same time be blown away by Angelina! But she does John Legend,Queen,Elvis Prestley,shes not afraid to take on any song she loves. Even Whitney Houston,and she puts her unique stamp on them all. I have no idea what she will deliever at 16 and beyond that,because im allready blown away by her (way before she started her teen years this year) I mean,this gods gift to this earth young lady,sang classic jazz at the age of 8! She has a huge following allready,so a reaction video would probably be very popular on this channel too. Seen ALOT of requests out there for Valerie.

As far as better then the original I would say Chester was the only master of voice who could pull it off, if you don't think this was better then Adele then you at least have to admit it was on par with hers! And so much more emotional with only the piano and his voice.
