The video of one distracts people from their actual music. This is a great song to start with. It has ballad and harmony. Makes the listener focus on the music more along with the lyrics. Metallica is def one of those bands ya gotta listen to over and over to really appreciate what they are doing. Young ears don’t adapt well with them. Play more black album and then introduce her to old school Metallica. Then again, I’m a year behind so I’m sure I’ll catch up along the way with what you do with her. Great video, love the channel, and I’ll keep watching and sending those likes!
You're exactly like me. Always pointing out the cool T-Shirts, band shirts I wore in Jr High and High School to my daughter. Hey, I say you do a reaction with her to Stevie Nicks 'Sara' or '17' or 'Outside the Rain/Dreams' from her 1981 live concert called 'White Wing Dove Tour!' Amazing show. I know she'll love it.
This is one of my favorite Metallica songs. I put it in the category of "Metallica Light" in terms of musical composition. It's a great choice for trying to introduce someone to Metallica. Something from the "Black Album" would also be good. Once they're hooked... try something from "Kill 'em All". :D
Yes, she is awesome, and you're also. It's great to see that you're searching for the way to present your daughter the music you love. (I love Metallica also). But it"s awesome to see she's not afraid to disagree with you. She's opened to have new music experiences, but she has the confidence to tell you if she don't get it. This is great. And please don't care about to "fans" who offense you, or your daughter because she don't like any Metallica stuff. Metallica is great because they never listened to the fans, but they own visions.
If you feel depressed and don't see a future then I highly recommend this song even if you're not the biggest Metallica fan listen to it because it speaks to you and you alone. Many say it's a suicide song but I've always felt comforted by it and never the other way.
It is simply the age she is currently at which explains why she likely would not be so very interested... or very susceptible to giving this kind of music a chance to garner any of her enthusiasm and attention.... In all honesty it's pretty impressive that she is as willing to listen and as patient as she has been on these videos ya know... this music will likely seem vastly different to her in around 4 to 6 years... seriously.
One is one of the best. i started listening more to heavy metal because of "One". Never looked back. Listen to Alternative Rock now, just a little more mellow.

Great song choice and one of my favorites. I'd like to see you go off the beaten path though. I'm thinking shortest straw or the thing that should not be.
I remember the controversy surrounding this song. A lot of people thought that this song was causing kids to kill themselves. It’s good to see a lot of comments of the opposite. The song helping people cope and want to live. If I remember correctly, the song was written because of a letter they received from a fan who killed themselves. I think, ya it’s controversial, but it’s also eye opening to a lot of people during a time where you didn’t talk about the issue of suicide. In the 80’s people kept it to themselves and didn’t really talk about it. Not till Kurt Cobain did you ever really hear about it. It makes me think of tragedy of Chester Bennington and all the hurt is death caused the people around him. He had so much to live for, but couldn’t see past his depression. If you suffer a similar illness, know that this help for you and there a people that love and care for you. Think of them and all the hurt that taking your own life will cause.
He talks over the beginning of the final refrain... my favorite part of this song. stfu He should play Dyer's Eve for her. I bet that will convert her (especially if he lip-syncs to Last Caress, first). :-)

You have a pretty cool dad if he takes the time to share his passion for music. Mine did too but in the 80’s, it was through the radio
Nothings better playing music with your kids that you grew up on, 🤘🤘🤘
This is one of my favorite Metallica songs. I put it in the category of "Metallica Light" in terms of musical composition. It's a great choice for trying to introduce someone to Metallica. Something from the "Black Album" would also be good. Once they're hooked... try something from "Kill 'em All". :D
Your daughter is awesome 👮♂️
Lol, thanks for the compliment, she is stone face on a lot of these, hard to read, but we are having a good time. Thanks for watching.
I agree. Respectful and super intelligent.
@@DonVaillancourt Thanks so much!
@@tmik79 Thanks for the great comment and support
Good be a father and your daughter can enjoy with you the music , the best music in this world
Good job buddy
Hey bro, great to see a dad just hanging out with their kid and having fun. You should play Beautiful girls by Van Halen
Play her the seattle 89 version and the One San Diego 92 version
I can’t decide if I like this album more or master of puppets. You should do video of welcome home sanitarium
Classic Metallica album.
I love to play along on the drums to this song
If you feel depressed and don't see a future then I highly recommend this song even if you're not the biggest Metallica fan listen to it because it speaks to you and you alone. Many say it's a suicide song but I've always felt comforted by it and never the other way.
Two minutes after this was recorded Annie was back in her room listening to Tay-Tay again.
I love Metallica♥️ from Italy 🇮🇹🇺🇸🤟🤟
Greatest song ever written. Unless you want to fight me about, in which case let put on a little Battery and lets rumble.
It is simply the age she is currently at which explains why she likely would not be so very interested... or very susceptible to giving this kind of music a chance to garner any of her enthusiasm and attention....
In all honesty it's pretty impressive that she is as willing to listen and as patient as she has been on these videos ya know... this music will likely seem vastly different to her in around 4 to 6 years... seriously.
Goosebumps from that riff
Play her enter sandman
ignore all the negative comments, she is allowed to not like songs, speak at any time you want, this is your reaction. keep it up!
You got her head slamming 🤭😂😂😂😂🤪. Never really seen the lyrics to this song and now I get. Thanks man.
One is one of the best. i started listening more to heavy metal because of "One". Never looked back. Listen to Alternative Rock now, just a little more mellow.
Awesome shirt man just finished the show ... Hope miguel is fine in season 3
Love this song listen to it every time when i workout my dad made me listen to this kind of music when I was 9 now im 15 and love this kind of music that solo is hella hard on guitar hero
Shaky Vidz yeah I’m scared how they ended it with Miguel
Great song choice and one of my favorites. I'd like to see you go off the beaten path though. I'm thinking shortest straw or the thing that should not be.
Let her talk , not just you. All she said was that she liked it more.
Most people don’t appreciate great guitar work or even great drum work
I think Nothing Else Matters is one she may like slower and.more commercial
He talks over the beginning of the final refrain... my favorite part of this song. stfu
He should play Dyer's Eve for her. I bet that will convert her (especially if he lip-syncs to Last Caress, first). :-)
i love all MetallicA !!! the old one, and the new one :) saludos desde Chile
Nothing else matters, memory remains are well worth a look
My best friend and I were stationed in Misawa, Japan in the 90’s and we would play Metallica to see how few songs had to play before we got to the Shimoda Mall.
Will you please review Mama I’m coming home by Ozzy? My friend played this the night before I left Japan to go back home to Oklahoma.
In my opinion, Metallica have never done better.
