You should've chosen live at Wacken Open Air 2013 version. It's better quality, bigger venue (over 80.000 people rocking hard), better camera angle of views and Floor even sings better. In this Buenos Aires video she has been in the band only two months after she rushed in and she had only 48 hours to learn Nightwish setlist because their former vocalist got sick in North American your and couldn't continue. After that incident Floor stayed the band permanently. But yeah, luckily this version did the job too and she liked what she saw and heard! If you wanted to continue "regular" Nightwish songs I would recommend next the *Song Of Myself* (live at Wacken Open Air, 2013), *Storytime* (live at Tampere 2015), *Yours Is An Empty Hope* (live at Baltic Princess) or *Weak Fantasy* (live at Tampere 2015).

Welcome to the wonderful world of Symphonic Metal!! Nightwish have had 3 lead singers: Tarja - who was all operatic vocals Anette - who was mostly pop/rock vocals and finally Floor - who can do anything and everything, from operatic to low metal growls... she truly is a goddess! I have personally loved them since around 2004, they are my favourite band and Ghost Love Score is my favourite song of all time. Hell yes! Nightwish is one of the only bands I can comfortably say is MORE than music to me, personally. Tuomas is on par with the other great composers of history and it shows!
New sub here. I was ill for three months so I am late to the Nightwish party! I am glad you enjoyed this song! Now I have to catch up on your videos, particularly the Nightwish ones. :-) I wish we had this music over here. One good thing about Nightwish is they tour in the US. I saw them over a year in Pittsburgh! They are awesome live!
The orchestral parts you hear on the background is a real pre-recorded orchestra. Some oh of the stuff comes out from the keys too. The backing track is recorded with London Symphony Orchestra that has also recoder the score of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Amazing that you guys reacted to this right around the time I got around to listening to it myself! Wonderful composition. Nightwish's keyboardist and main composer, Tuomas, is to thank for it. Definitely my favorite band lately, absolutely amazing works of art. I recommend "Wish I Had an Angel", "Amaranth", "Nemo", "Weak Fantasy", and "Alpenglow" for their normal length songs. Their other long, epic compositions are "The Poet and the Pendulum", "Song of Myself", and "The Greatest Show on Earth". My favorite is definitely "Greatest Show". It's meaning is so deep and inspiring and the music itself is so perfect that it always drives me to tears. I recommend the Wembley version for it. Enjoy, and I hope your daughter becomes a lifelong fan, as I have!
A few symphonic metal songs that she might like: Nightwish - Ever Dream live at Wacken 2013 Epica - Sancta Terra live from Retrospect concert Kamelot - My Confession
Thanks - it's never too early to introduce someone to the wonderful world of Nightwish, especially now that they have Dutch Floor Jansen on lead vocals. Standing 181 cm tall with a voice of an angel, she's the new queen of metal.
Great to see you and your daughter reacting to Nightwish. Try " the Poet and The Pendulum" live at Wembley. Check the background story behind the song before you react and you will enjoy it even more.
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia , I'm not sure if The Poet and The Pendulum is age appropriate song. If it was a movie done to same darkness then it would be likely 16+ rated. Often similar level books get much lower age limits. I don't know any music rating system. Children grow at different speeds which makes you better positioned to figure out limits and talk about the darker topic a bit more to help process it. Tarja was dismissed (open letter) after the End of Era concert ending their Once tour. She was liked vocalist which led to remaining members receive a lot of hate - Specially Tuomas who is the song writer and musical leader. Even without all hate split would have been hard because they were childhood friends. Tuomas had mental health issues while preparing the next album. The Poet and The Pendulum includes Tuomas' feelings during the darkest time. Some people say he wrote the song to avoid suicide. I have seen only interview where Tuomas tells how composing the song was an important step towards recovery. From actual song it is good to notice how the story begins from "The end" and ends to "The beginning". Also video with lyrics in it may help if you want to digest lyrics at first listening. That was the short version. Someone might come up with a bit more details.
3 Things I could tell from her face just from the first 2 minutes - She loves Floor - She really liked the song - She's gonna look for more Nightwish songs after this
Glad you guys are back, I got your last reply to my message and went to click on it and saw the channel was gone. Iron Maiden! Revelations from their live Flight 666 DVD, the crowd gets really into it.
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia Hah yeah, I figured you guys wouldn't give up that easily. Seriously though, Iron Maiden is one of those bands that's hard not to like. Their live performances are just fun, there's something special about them and their massive fanbase. One of the few concerts I've been to where literally everyone from the grungiest looking guy to the cleanest cut people are just happy to strike up a conversation with no hesitation.
There are 3 concert DVDs featuring Floor so lot's of high quality reaction fodder. Wacken 2013, Wembley 2015 and Tampere 2015. All 3 shows are amazing. Also for a twist check out Phantom of the Opera live in 2005 with their original singer Tarja.
@Bryson burnette I do too but since she's from Netherlands I thought Valkerye was more appropriate... totally messed up on the Hobbit instead of elf...
More victims to Floor and the boys! There is such a diversity to Nightwish' songs. Tey go heavier with songs like Yours Is An Empty Hope (look out for Floor's growls a la Jinjer) and Romanticide (live wacken '13) she can go higher and more ethereal (Poet and the Pendulum) and they even delve into a more folk metal sound, which can be rally joyous and invigorating (My Walden, Alpenglow) Then there is the Opus Perfectum, The Greatest Show on Earth, a 21 minute monster detailing the formation of earth and evolution, incredible stuff. The Nightwish fans are a passionate lot, so you will likely get a ton of requests, we even have a discord dedicated to Nightwish reactions, we even have some Reactors come along and say hi, you are more than welcome to pop in: discord.gg/NrTUWyS
It's cool that you two can share music this way. About five years ago I was talking to my daughter on the phone and mentioned that I was listening to Nightwish. (We live in the US where very few people have ever heard of European Metal) She responded "I love them!". Turns out we had both discovered European Metal independently on UA-cam. Been going to concerts together ever since. (We've also converted her fiance)
This song is from the 2004 album "Once" with former singer Tarja Turuien, after she left the band in 2005 and Nightwish hired Annette Olson they stopped playing this song live after Anette tried it a few times, she just could not pull it off. This is the first time Nightwish reintroduced "Ghost Love Score" into their set list after Floor joined in Aug 2012, The song has been rearranged and and extra added by Tuomas and Floor to take advantage of Floor's dynamic range and power.
Another great reaction video with good timing and places to add your commentary (my foot was tapping so much my wife thought we had a water leak in the house:). Cheers.
AHHH my favorite recording of Floor's version of this song.. I love how interactive the crowd is, singing the guitar solo. so amazing! She had the flu here btw! you can not even tell!! Edit: I think your little mini needs to hear BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, with the original singer, Tarja
You can definitely tell, she doesn't have the same control and her consistently perfect pitch. It doesn't mean that she's not amazing in both of these videos, but it's less confusing for musician fans to know that she is sick haha. It's even more impressive that she's up there doing it and that well, she probably felt like dying the whole time. Before I knew that, I was chalking it up to bad audio, or maybe they didn't have enough monitors on stage for them. SO confused.
I love symphonic metal and you're right, it's a very viking style of music, which is why most of these bands are either from nordic or germanic countries. I love the epicness and grandeur of it, the songs always make me feel like I'm going on some kind of epic journey or something lol! Not to mention the singers in these bands are some of the most talented singers in the world, in my opinon. It's a shame this is not very popular in North America.
Absolutely love this band. There's been a couple songs that were just too heavy for me, so I will probably only listen to them when I need energy, but I still loved them. If you haven't , watch Floor Jansen with her bestie from Epica do Sancta Terra and Within Temptation's live version of Mother Earth and Angels. If you wanna see Marco go all Queensryche on you, Nothing Left from Delain, and if you want to see their calmer side, The Islander and While Your Lips are Still Red; and for sure I Want My Tears Back and Alpenglow cause Troy is amazing :) Definitely show her the other 2 ladies, as well. ( probably studio of Anette, as she doesn't quite match the other 2 live. Great singer, though. ) It will help prep you if you haven't seen the 2 super epic ones. Thumbs up from me :)
I think as a teenage girl, she would`ve melted completely over the Wacken Open Air performance of this very same song. A even bigger production,i noticed how she loved the background keyboarding of Tuomas, and possible playback stuff. The Wacken Open Air version is packed with that, she will love it if she checks it out. That entire concert is concidered one of the best of all times too! 12:38 I genuinly *LOVED* to see her break into a smile!😍💞Floor tends to do that to the toughest of us! Thinking of songs for you to react to together, changes things. Because that makes me think of songs that will let Floor & the guys pull her in,even more, and wich will hopefully make you love them more too😉So i will not go right into the heaviest stuff (for now!) I would suggest "I Want My Tears Back"(i noticed how you both talked about the folk vibes, viking chants, well this one will even give you some right down Celtic feels, and you will be properly introduced to the groovy wizard on multiple instruments & vocals,Troy from the UK) Another great song for both of you to discover together: Ever Dream. An old hit that Floor came in and made absolutely beautiful: Nemo (Live Wacken 2013) If you want to be blown away, here is one of my absolute favourites after Floor came in: Amaranth (85.000 under Floors complete control, thats all im saying,i got blown away, and full of emotions) No spoilers, but Amaranth from Wacken is more then worth it! I leave the hardest decision up to you, wich ones is it gonna be.😉
Ya, I didn't realize Wacken was the way to go on the first video, but learned quickly and followed up with the additional 2 we did today. I will circle back and show her GLS from Wacken as well. Thanks for the other info as well and of course for watching!
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia Its all good. Her Buenos Aires performance is actually so impressive,it got the bonus material feature on theyr double dvd/blu-ray & double cd release from the wacken concert. Because she learned the entire setlist in 48hours,had just recovered from a burned out state. And went on to deliever that performance still, without confidence in herself! Pretty unreal for a normal guy like me lol. That will be absolutely brilliant to see her watch the GLS from Wacken. Its simply a unique masterpiece,of a woman in total control of herself, chemistry with the band and the massive audience. You both got a major treat in store for you on that one,at a later point! Still a good choice on GLS from Buenos Aires. That performance deserves alot of love too, because of the drastic circumstances in the band at the time, where Annette got sick, and Floor was asked to come save the tour :)
As others suggested, other Nightwish songs you might want to check out are: Everdream, Romaticide, Phantom of the opera (featuring their first singer, Tarja), Song of myself, Greatest show on Earth, ecc... Since 'european style of metal' was part of the discussion I might also suggest to check out the following bands/songs as a sampling of more melodic variants metal you might both like: - Eluveite (Switzerland-Folk-ish metal): Rebirth - Rhapsody of fire (Italy-Epic speed metal): Emerald sword or Dawn of victory - Epica (Epic symphonic metal): Sancta terra (live feat Floor Jansen) - Apocalyptica (metal all done with Cellos): Inquisition symphony (studio version) Hope you find something to your taste and cheers!
I couldn't find it in the coments but did you know that at the moment of this show Floor was a bandmember for a bit more then 3 months as a temporary singer. In the middle of the world tour of Nightwish their singer left and Floor got the invitation to sing untill the end of the tour. The trickiest part was that she had to travel from her home in The Netherlands to the west part of the US and to learn the songs of the show in 48 hours. She had never sung for Nightwish but she pulled it off. After the tour the other Nightwish members were so pleased with her as a singer and as a person that they offered her the job as the singer of Nighwish and she accepted.
The Beanos Aires 2012 version, NICE 😎👍👌 Every song from them is different, This is sweeter sounding but they alsoo have heavier songs like "Yours is an Empty Hope" and "Weak Fantasy"or fun tempo songs like "Dark Chest of Wonders" or "I Wish I Had An Angel " 😊 Or cute like "Elan" Other European Symphonic Metal/Rock bands are: "Epica" and "Within Temptation" and "Delain"👀👍
nightwish: poet and the pendelum, live at Wembley ghost love score live at wacken 2013 (yes, it really is worth it. though it is the same song she is more used to it during this concert) stargazers live at tampere romanticide live at wacken 2013 (more heavy style :) ) after forver (floor's first band) epica sancta terra live with floor (realllllllllyyy good)
The stringed instruments and woodwinds along so the her operatic style singing (mixture) lends to the symphonic part of this genre. Great Great stuff!!!
With the sheer volume of Nightwish reaction videos out there I predict their upcoming new album will sell five million copies. At least, I hope it does.
Or more, they are on track to sell 10,000,000 on the new one, once it is released. They should start summer camp within a few weeks, with a release date in early 2020.
@9600GTMAN describing Floor as "piss poor"... really? Sleeping Sun might fit Tarja's voice better, but that's about it. Floor is so much more versatile than Tarja (who is an excellent classical singer but struggles with all the other styles that Floor just incorporates effortlessly).
HI there :) I'm from Norway and i like all of their songs. Been to one live consert and had a blast there!! If your daugther liked the "NIghtwish - Ghost Love Score" she probly gonna like many more of their songs! :) She should give 'em a shot one evening and play'em through.
Nightwish have some good albums, but their live performance are better, and you can't really go wrong with anything from Wachen 2013 (Wachen is Europes biggest metal festival), Wembley 2015 and Tampere 2015 (Finland, where the band is from). I would recommend Storytime from Wachen 2013.
The Poet & The Pendulum at Wembley, and pretty much *everything* else from the Wacken 2013 show. The Wacken show is, imho, one of the best live shows ever recorded. Flawless from start to finish. I prefer the Wacken version of Ghost Love Score; I think her technical performance is better, and you get the full festival show with screens, pyros, etc. The crowd for that show was over 80,000, btw.
Ghost love score is a really gentle one for Nightwish. You should follow it with Romanticide from Wacken, or if you really want to see them go for it... Seven Days to the Wolves from Wembley stadium. Pretty much any song from Nightwish from the Wacken concert in 2013 is amazing, they were playing in front of 82000 people there. They have such a wide range of music you wont be able to predict anything... they go from softer folk music right through to stuff every bit as heavy as Dimmu Borgir or Slayer, try Master Passion Greed, which is the heaviest song they ever did. Don't assume every Nightwish song is the same sound as ghost love score, the great thing about this band... every song is different but just as good!
Personally, the Barona Areena version of Seven days is a bit better. But Romanticide is def one they should really check out. Dunno if iI would call their heaviest stuff as being as heavy as Slayer though.
Another symphonic metal band you both might wanna check out is Within Temptation. Female singer also. A few songs I recommend: 1. Paradise (what about us) Featuring tarja from nightwish 2. Let us burn 3. Faster 4. Shot in the dark. Also, they do amazing covers of other artists songs. Worth a look. 😎👍
Saw them live in 2015 and the song was on the setlist. The crazy thing is how different she sounds. The Phillie show (Electric Factory 10 april 2015) is on UA-cam somewhere and got a good quality if you want to hear something different (More confident and somewhat more liberty with how it was sung). Wacken is also another good option to check up
Do your daughter a favor and have her listen to this ua-cam.com/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/v-deo.html your daughter is also a very pretty / cute. She also expresses herself very well.
Floor is a Dutch singer and the third vocalist for Nightwish (and the best imho). Floor means Bloom or Flower in a loose translation. She can sing classical operatic to metal growl. This particular song is usually an hour or so into the show, which makes it even more amazing. Have a look at Storytime from Wacken 2013. Yes I have the same surname but not related unfortunately.
Welcome to Nightwish family! :) Maybe next time you should check out Romaticide. Its a bit heavier but woah. :) Also Storytime is not a bad idea too! :) Just keep reacting and you will have bunch of Nightwish fans showing up for you! ;)
The strings are real courtesy of London Symphony Orchestra. There are of course synth parts played as well but there is a full recorded symphonic orchestra played back from tape live.
Floor Jansen is awesome. Floor is Dutch and the rest of the band is Finnish. Check out Epica - "Cry for the Moon" (HD version). Also Ayreon Universe - "Star of Sirrah".
Nice one! Loving more of your videos and watching closely. I think I recommended Nightwish's cover of "Phantom of the Opera", along with a bunch of other tracks for you guys to react to, which hopefully, neither of you have seen before you hit play :)
I'd recommend Storytime from Wacken 2013. But just about anything from that concert would be great. This, by the way was VERY early in singer Floor's tenure with the band (Oct '12). She would not be officially named the lead singer for months. She was simply "filling in" for this tour. With the reaction she received by the fans (They were cheering her name at the end of that song, after the video cut out), It's pretty clear that by the time of the now legendary Wacken 2013 festival the next summer, there was no way she was going anywhere.
Last Ride Of The Day, Storytime and Romanticide are my favourites. That particular gig was on a sweltering night, and the temperatures inside hit +50°C. That's why water was being passex to the crowd.
If you want to know more, and enjoy more, you should be looking for the song "Face Your Demons", an old song from one of her previous band After Forever. A little jewel!!
I think Wacken 2013's is perfect but this one is special because she didn't sing the "Floorgasm" the same way, in this one she extended de word "be" instead of "for" which is what she normally does
There's a lot to this group. They're huge in Finland and Europe in general but for some reason have never really caught on in the states. I love watching reactions to them, because not enough people know them. Here are a few I'd recommend from them. For some more long epic stuff try Poet and the Pendulum or The Greatest Show on Earth. If you want some more radio friendly kind of songs try Ever Dream, Elan, or Storytime. If you want something heavier try Romanticide or Song of Myself. For some faster Power Metal type stuff go for Pharaoh Sails to Orion or Devil in the Deep Dark Ocean. If you want a ballad go for The Islander (The Bassist, Marco, sings lead vocals on this one) or Our Decades in the Sun. If you want something instrumental try The Last of the Wilds or The Eyes of Sharbat Gula. They also have a guy (Troy Donocklay) who plays bagpipes and woodwind instruments, he's featured on a lot of tracks, but I Want My Tears Back and My Walden are two for that folksy type of sound. This singer (Floor Jansen) is also their 3rd lead singer. For some of the best from their other two, I'd suggest The Phantom of the Opera (live version from their End of an Era concert) to show off their first singer (Tarja Turunen) and Slow Love Slow to show off their second singer (Anette Olzon).
Nice video. I actually like your daughter. You put a small text bubble in, saying she's "hard to read". that may be true for most people. But i think i am similar. Just sitting calm, enjoying mostly on the inside. If something is really cool, nice, interesting or something, i may give a soft smile or raise an eyebrow or something like that. xD ... Good to see there are other people like me.^^ small shout out to her, i think she's a good person. ... back to the vidoe itself: good one. you give out the info you have, but you are honest of no knowing everything and may be wrong on some parts. that's cool. keep it up.
Great videos, keep them up. If you haven't already, I would love to see you play Helloween, particularly the song Halloween from the Keeper of the Seven Keys 1 album; They are one of my favorite bands and they were one of, if not the forerunners of the symphonic metal genre.
Yeah, she did finally smile at the end. First time seeing you two. Try the 2013 Waken concert. The singer had 48 hours to prepare as she was new to the band. If your looking for other euro metal try Within Temptation,Delain, Epica,All Ends...the list goes on.
The BassPlayer has a couple of other bands, one named "Tarot" and the other Northern Kings, his name is Marco Hietala, have a look/listen, think it¨s right up your alley!
All I know is Floor has a set of golden pipes, with lungs that could inflate a zeppelin. Also, "Everdream" and "Story time" from the Waken 2013 concert.
I would've personally recommended the End of an Era version from 2005, with the original singer, Tarja Turunen who, for me, is the only one who can properly transmit the energy this song has to offer. Mix this with the fact that it was openly known that End of an Era was their last concert as the original band (the fans knew this too through an open, public letter they communicated to the public) and you get a hell of an emotional ride

The orchestral parts you hear on the background is a real pre-recorded orchestra. Some oh of the stuff comes out from the keys too. The backing track is recorded with London Symphony Orchestra that has also recoder the score of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
or any score written by John Williams (ET; all 9 star wars episodes and Indina Jones)
Thanks for the recommendations and for watching, much more coming, so much to get through with them!
A few symphonic metal songs that she might like:
Nightwish - Ever Dream live at Wacken 2013
Epica - Sancta Terra live from Retrospect concert
Kamelot - My Confession
Thanks for the recommendations, this one resonated well with her, more to come soon. Thanks for watching.
Thanks - it's never too early to introduce someone to the wonderful world of Nightwish, especially now that they have Dutch Floor Jansen on lead vocals. Standing 181 cm tall with a voice of an angel, she's the new queen of metal.
Niiiice way to put that, very angelic voice. Thanks for watching
Great to see you and your daughter reacting to Nightwish.
Try " the Poet and The Pendulum" live at Wembley.
Check the background story behind the song before you react and you will enjoy it even more.
Ya, background stories are tough to find the exact correct one sometimes, I try to dig in best I can. More to come soon, thanks for watching.
@@suokkos Whoa, thanks for all those details and being so informative, appreciate that a lot.
3 Things I could tell from her face just from the first 2 minutes
- She loves Floor
- She really liked the song
- She's gonna look for more Nightwish songs after this
Ya, she really liked this quite a bit, she is a hard read, but this one came pretty easy. Thanks for watching.
Your daughter looks very serious for thirteen year old. And that's a good thing. It is obvious that she is very smart girl.
Glad you guys are back, I got your last reply to my message and went to click on it and saw the channel was gone. Iron Maiden! Revelations from their live Flight 666 DVD, the crowd gets really into it.
Thanks for catching up and finding us here. What a huge bummer.
@@scope81 Nice, thanks for that info. And no, not throwing in the towel, is what it is. Plus I have making these.
Looking into Wacken, appears to be a popular recommendation
Yall met the Warlock, Viking, Elf, Pirate, and the Valkerye Goddess 🤘🤙great to see yall back
Lol 😄
I usually refer to Floor as an Amazon warrior, but I can definitely see Valkyrie as well.
@Bryson burnette I do too but since she's from Netherlands I thought Valkerye was more appropriate... totally messed up on the Hobbit instead of elf...
Band is part Scandenavia, the singer is Dutch and we Dutch metalheads are proud of her! Go for Epica, Within Temptation and also Nightwish with Tarja!
Classic song, I so love this band. Epic!
Ya, just starting to learn more about them, i loved this stuff. Thanks for watching
Keep reacting Nightwish there is so many surprises for you
Oh ya, more coming very soon. Loved that last one. Thanks for watching.
More victims to Floor and the boys! There is such a diversity to Nightwish' songs. Tey go heavier with songs like Yours Is An Empty Hope (look out for Floor's growls a la Jinjer) and Romanticide (live wacken '13) she can go higher and more ethereal (Poet and the Pendulum) and they even delve into a more folk metal sound, which can be rally joyous and invigorating (My Walden, Alpenglow)
Then there is the Opus Perfectum, The Greatest Show on Earth, a 21 minute monster detailing the formation of earth and evolution, incredible stuff.
The Nightwish fans are a passionate lot, so you will likely get a ton of requests, we even have a discord dedicated to Nightwish reactions, we even have some Reactors come along and say hi, you are more than welcome to pop in:

Don’t get their hopes up too much, She can growl but she’s no Tatiana.
I see Nightwish live London Wembley 2018 Decade tour was wonderful time beast show ever
O sorry I mean best show
Aayy, I was there too!
It's cool that you two can share music this way. About five years ago I was talking to my daughter on the phone and mentioned that I was listening to Nightwish. (We live in the US where very few people have ever heard of European Metal)
She responded "I love them!". Turns out we had both discovered European Metal independently on UA-cam.
Been going to concerts together ever since.
(We've also converted her fiance)
"Weak fantasy", Nightwish, live Tampere. Greatgreat & heavyheavy...
Nightwish, the fusion of opera and metal.
Yes, it is so freakin awesome, having fun doing these, great music.
Thanks for the details on that, and for watching.
We plan to do more very soon on Nightwish, thanks for watching!
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia
Nice, thanks for the details!! and for watching.
Good to see you back on youtube
Keep it going she'll be dying her hair black, wearing a leather jacket and getting some skull tattoos... LoL!
Lol
Don't you know ? Our children have their own unique music taste, but when they get older, they remember back to the music the parents played.
@@BelieveNoGod a
Truly, I still think back to my dad playing plastic ono band and 80s new wave in the car.
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia I'd highly suggest you react to Yannis Papodapolas' could very of Ghost love score if you haven't already.
Since 'european style of metal' was part of the discussion I might also suggest to check out the following bands/songs as a sampling of more melodic variants metal you might both like:
- Eluveite (Switzerland-Folk-ish metal): Rebirth
- Rhapsody of fire (Italy-Epic speed metal): Emerald sword or Dawn of victory
- Epica (Epic symphonic metal): Sancta terra (live feat Floor Jansen)
- Apocalyptica (metal all done with Cellos): Inquisition symphony (studio version)
Hope you find something to your taste and cheers!
Thanks so much for the recommendations, we are looking into much more with them, thanks for watching.
Thats ART at the highest level...another epic performance
I couldn't find it in the coments but did you know that at the moment of this show Floor was a bandmember for a bit more then 3 months as a temporary singer. In the middle of the world tour of Nightwish their singer left and Floor got the invitation to sing untill the end of the tour. The trickiest part was that she had to travel from her home in The Netherlands to the west part of the US and to learn the songs of the show in 48 hours. She had never sung for Nightwish but she pulled it off. After
the tour the other Nightwish members were so pleased with her as a singer and as a person that they offered her the job as the singer of Nighwish and she accepted.
Phantom of the Opera on the End of the Era video (Tarja is the singer there) and Poet and the Penedulum live at Wembley.
Please show her some more Nightwish! Everything from Wacken 2013 is golden! Like Ever Dream, or Storytime! I'll bet you and her will love it
More coming today from Wacken in fact, thanks for watching.
I met Nightwish and saw show on their Decades tour in Dallas, Texas! So awesome!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for the recommendations, so much to check out!
nightwish:
poet and the pendelum, live at Wembley
ghost love score live at wacken 2013 (yes, it really is worth it. though it is the same song she is more used to it during this concert)
stargazers live at tampere
romanticide live at wacken 2013 (more heavy style :) )
after forver (floor's first band)
epica sancta terra live with floor (realllllllllyyy good)
Yes, planning to do some music from Wacken very soon, popular recommendation, thanks for watching!
Great reaction! I look forward to see more from you two.
Thanks so much, thanks for watching as well.
Check out Sleeping sun Live from Tampere. I bet that is well up her alley.
Thanks for the recommendation
@9600GTMAN describing Floor as "piss poor"... really? Sleeping Sun might fit Tarja's voice better, but that's about it. Floor is so much more versatile than Tarja (who is an excellent classical singer but struggles with all the other styles that Floor just incorporates effortlessly).
Apareció un ángel .....no puedes parar de oír más canciones , llenas de aventuras y amor , igual que una película... Enhorabuena por el vídeo.
You can try Revamp Wild Card bloodstock live with the same singer. In her performance very hard kind of heavy metal. I recomanded.
Thanks for the note on that!
or after forever (her original band), monolith of doubt and trial of monsters (live)
HI there :)
I'm from Norway and i like all of their songs.
Been to one live consert and had a blast there!!
If your daugther liked the "NIghtwish - Ghost Love Score" she probly gonna like many more of their songs! :)
She should give 'em a shot one evening and play'em through.
I always love seeing a new born of nightwish fans 💕
Nightwish have some good albums, but their live performance are better, and you can't really go wrong with anything from Wachen 2013 (Wachen is Europes biggest metal festival), Wembley 2015 and Tampere 2015 (Finland, where the band is from). I would recommend Storytime from Wachen 2013.
Thanks for notes, working in more, this one was fun.
Wacken seems to be the most popular recommendations, more coming very soon, probably even today on that. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Thanks for the recommendations!
A few songs I recommend:
1. Paradise (what about us) Featuring tarja from nightwish
2. Let us burn
3. Faster
Wacken is also another good option to check up
Oh how I wish you would have did the Official Live version at Wacken 2013.
Do your daughter a favor and have her listen to this ua-cam.com/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/v-deo.html your daughter is also a very pretty / cute. She also expresses herself very well.
Love Nightwish,play more please
Oh yes, more coming, thanks for watching
Song of Myself, Romanticide (Wacken), While Your Lips are Still Red, Poet and the Pendulum
Song of myself, Storytime, Romanticide..all live from Wacken 2013
We did Romanticide from Wacken, it's out there now on our channel. Wacken was pretty amazing. Thanks for watching.
The voice of an angel, the dress of a Viking Warrior and the spunk of an Irishwoman. I love her.
Welcome to the world of Nightwish. There is no going back
Lol, I am seeing that!
Welcome to Nightwish family! :) Maybe next time you should check out Romaticide. Its a bit heavier but woah. :) Also Storytime is not a bad idea too! :) Just keep reacting and you will have bunch of Nightwish fans showing up for you! ;)
I see the fans showing up already! Thanks for the recommendations and for watching
The strings are real courtesy of London Symphony Orchestra. There are of course synth parts played as well but there is a full recorded symphonic orchestra played back from tape live.
Nice to know, thanks for that note, really amazing music. More to come.
Yes, more to come on them for certain, having a lot of fun working on these. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching.
Floor is from Holland!!yes she lives in finland know.but she comes from the Netherlands !!and yes im so verry proud of it too
Annie's face when the vocals started was PRICELESS.
The whole concert from Wacken in 2013 - on UA-cam - is amazing
Oh boy...now you dunnit....
sho nuff
There is no escape - only sweet surrender.
This is fricking live singing!! She sounds so fricking amazing even better than studio recording! dammit im in love with her voice
Thanks for the suggestion, definitely interested in more NW.
Floors voice always gives me chills!
Oh. My. God. This is the best version of the song. The “for you” at the end of the song is the single most epic moment of Floor’s singing ever!
I think Wacken 2013's is perfect but this one is special because she didn't sing the "Floorgasm" the same way, in this one she extended de word "be" instead of "for" which is what she normally does
If you don't like this song you have no soul man. The song, no word to describe.
Thanks so much for all of the details and info, much appreciated! Also, thanks for watching.
Whether you call it symphonic metal or rock opera I absolutely ADORE it.
The best band in the world, with the best singer.
now THIS is how you get new subscribers :)
Lol, yes it is!! Thanks for watching.
Live show from wacken introduces them in the best light in my opinion. In the wacken they played pretty much all of the best songs.
I liked her smirk. Bet we would’ve seen a lot more of it if you had shown walken 2013 version? Anywhose. Good job. New sub
The poet and the pendulum awesome
Yes, plan on that one very soon.
first time seeing your videos, mainly cause i saw the ghost reaction, i love ghost, anyways idk if youve heard sirenia but theyre amazing.
Check out their Greatest Show on Earth and Poet and the Pendulum. Must Sees. but both are even longer than this one.
I know Pendulum is coming very soon, thanks for watching!
First video I watched from you guys. Does the map of Iceland in the background have some meaning other than you like it's shape?
Iceland is my wife and my favorite place we have ever been. Took the family there about a year ago, already talking about our next trip out.
The BassPlayer has a couple of other bands, one named "Tarot" and the other Northern Kings, his name is Marco Hietala, have a look/listen, think it¨s right up your alley!
Nightwish - Dark Chest Of Wonders (Live End Of An Era) with Tarja, really good one.
All I know is Floor has a set of golden pipes, with lungs that could inflate a zeppelin.
Also, "Everdream" and "Story time" from the Waken 2013 concert.
More Nightwish to come for certain, thanks for the suggestions.
Operatic metal. I think this is bigger in Europe, than the US (its not me scene, so I am probably wrong). Great video. 🤘🏻🙂
Thanks for the compliments, we have received A LOT of request to do this song. Thanks for watching.
You should definitely do a live reaction to Epica with your daughter. :) Recommendations: Cry for the Moon, The Last Crusade
