I never thought I'd ever say this, but I will kill to go back to this point and time. Hybrid Theory was one of the best things about 2000 and Meteora is one of the best things about 2003. It's kind of strange to see kids reacting to this music in kind of a blah sort of way. A lot of them will never have to identify with the lyrics in these songs which makes me happy, because that means there's a lot of good parents out there and sad, because of how heartfelt and painful these songs were.
Dude, my father passed away when i was 11, it's wonderful to see a dad like you, you're so cool, i know how it is to grown up without a father and because of that i'm very sure your daughter will grown up as much healthier possible, because she have you. You are amazing!
Im sorry for you but you gotta be strong... It's great that you are so mature and know that you miss your dad. Just live the best way possible....make you dad proud as he looks upon you from the stars. 🌟
AND I hate to say this FOR [ REAL ] ! There will come a day , when SHE will wish for these times & music with her father ? Not , now , way to young . BUT down the road , old man time catches up with us ALL ! I was NEVER married , l never had NO kids to pass my loves onto ? Alone it that point in my life . I would NEVER pass any thing on , to any one , on this planet .
Linkin Park is my favorite band and I'm 23 years old. Too bad she doesn't react very physically to the songs. But if it's her way, that's okay. Your father and I were singing and shaking our heads. haha Show her more songs from Linkin Park, show how amazing Chester's voice was. / If you can eminem songs too. Great video. Hi from Brasil. ;)
I was 13 when Hybrid Theory dropped and it changed my life forever. But it was In the End that started the magic for me, so maybe try to show her that one. And Numb. R.i.P. Chester
It’s great to see someone so passionate about music/LInkin Park trying to show a younger generation how impactful the lyrics and music can be, Props to you man!
2:24 Pushing me Away is also a cool song by Linkin Park. Maybe you can check out the live Remix version at Live in Texas "P5hng Me A*wy", which is pretty cool in my opinion
The Catalyst, which I know some people will scream at me over because it's not from one of the first two albums, but the composition of that song is so tight and masterful. It's more atmospheric than a lot of their work and they control that beautifully. It's not my favorite LP song, but it is definitely the one I point to when someone snubs this band as 'just some new metal band.' They're an incredibly talented group.
I saw Linkin Park in concert in the year 2000 when I was about 12 years old and I became a fan that day.. the band stayed after and signed autographs for everyone.
Loved seeing you rocking out and mouthing the words! There's something about rapping along to Mike's parts that makes me feel like a badass! The whole song has killer energy too!
5:48 That stankface though!🤣Im glad she liked this at least, enough to be listening to in the car with her mom or similar lol. I still feel like "Burn It Down" is a song she will completely embrace, not to forget "Castle Of Glass" or "One More Light". I have even thought of "What I`ve Done" and "New Divide",if she likes The Transformers, but then i guess she would also know of the songs from the soundtracks.
i bought this cd when i was 13...now...almost 20 year later i still now all the lyrics...despite i've "evolved" into a heavier metalhead...i listen mostly to death and thrash metal now...i still have a place in my heart for bands like LP, Bizkit, Korn...they were the ones that started this journey for me...and btw...this was my fav song of hybrid theory
It's weird to hear a Gen-X person say that Hybrid Theory is one of their favorite albums lol. It's almost exclusively beloved by Millennials. Even the generation after Millennials (your children's generation) doesn't care much for LP.
I'm right with you. I was 16 when Hybrid Theory came out, it was the first CD I bought myself, and I listened the crap out of the entire album. Hundreds of hours of driving around blasting this. Meteora came out I loved it just as much but Hybrid Theory will always be my favourite
Awwwww, Chester. One of my favourite bands but I still find it hard to listen to them now. Haven't listened to One More Light since he's been gone. This was such a huge loss. RIP Chester. x 😔 Great to see you finally having a wee singalong though. 🙂
Every song on that Album is a hit! I've been listen and sing along to that song since the beginning but I'm ashamed to say I never knew the story behind it tho O and the best song has to be "In the end"
Joe Hahn is the most valued member for this song. The turntables and the samples and the scratches on this song is just which makes this song what it is😍😍😍😍😍😍.
I’m actually claustrophobic too, but with Linkin Park being my favourite band, I saw them twice in the front row with everybody smashing everybody and when it’s about your favourite band, you don’t even realise, you enjoy everything.
Honestly Hybrid Theory launches them into quick success followed up by Meteora. Both of these albums I can listen to without skipping. Some of the other stuff from Minutes to Midnight weren’t bad, but not every song captured my attention. Too bad We as fans didn’t see the cry’s for help until it was too late.
I got my brothers mp3 player back in 2011 filled with LP songs ....Ngl been a hardcore fan since then..... Mostly everyone at some point could relate to the lyrics and the musical genius of the band was undoubtedly over the top.
LP is one of my all time favorite bands. R.I.P. Chester! It's great that he and his music will live on in our hearts and through generations! If you get the chance, check out the Car Karaoke with LP and Ken Jeong. It's both hilarious and heartbreaking to watch because it was flimed three days before he left us.
I really apriciate the review of Linkin Park - I didn't watched you two before and it is really entertaining me ;-)) keep it up let the idea growing up

Also, your girl said she would get claustrophobic in that sort of gig with those people all there, I agree with you! Sometimes the front line against the fence is also quiet!!! lol
