- Quick video tutorial on using the Ktuner program to modify and customize basemaps that come included with the Ktuner device.
These edits will help make your car feel more sporty even though it does have the CVT transmission.
6MT has basically the same options except for a few minor tweaks. - Авто та транспорт
Great videos by the way keep it coming I really enjoyed it.
My questions finally answered. Thanks 😊
Yes. Been a while since i was playing in here. Thanks for the tutorial.
Informative and a real help, great.
Oooooh this is gonna be FUN
I don't have all options how can I open it please
Appreciate it
I have an aem Cai, but it's installed like a short ram but the filter is completely covered thus making it a Cai, I did highlight maf scaling but it just says afm fuel at the bottom & nothing else
Awesome video! i have mine tuned the same! have you tried adjusting the idle RPM?? the 10th gens have such a low idle RPM level and i've been wanting to do it but dont know what the consequences would be and idk anyone else who has done it. Thoughts??
Nice! Good looking on the info. I’m trying this right now. I’m pretty much stock, besides the car being straight piped. I did tune it before but without adjusting anything. This should be fun. You think these settings are safe for normal driving and daily commuting?
For regular driving and DD it is perfectly safe. I have actual gone far above and beyond these settings with a more aggressive tune, bolt tons, ethanol blend and upgraded turbo and running fine.
I have a Front pipe, castless down pipe, PRL race maf intake, a exhaust and a bigger turbo inlet pipe.
What would you recommend?
Is this tune safe on 2020 civic si ?
What's the difference between Factory MAF scaling and one w/ Top end scaling??
my ktuner v2 deosn't have fuel cut settings? 2018 civic 1.5T cvt
This video literally was exactly what I needed, I’m just getting into cars, I have a 2017 Civic Ext, cat back exhaust and cold air intake are on the way, maybe a video on how to properly tune to after market mods?
A few bolt ons really dont matter much on these base tunes. If you really want to dial it in, you would need to get a custom tune.
That’s exactly where I’m at, just a 2016
hello Joshua i saw u messing with the throttle response is it safe to leave it on the 3rd level for the throttle response I have a 1.5 t cvt, i just installed it yesterday and enjoying it. pls advise. or u tell me i currentlt have it on 2nd level for the throttle response
Yes it is okay to have it on max level.
Bro could you explain how this basemap that you chose is different than the other ones? Starter 18 and 21? Which starter is the best of all?
Dual Target 21 allows you to essentially assign two target PSI like the map name suggests. So while 21psi is your normal PSI, it will also allow you to edit how your ECO mode will respond not just in response but also its PSI. So you could assign ECO mode to go back to "factory" settings and then removing it would get you to the 21psi setting.
I will be getting a Ktuner 1.2 soon, Do you think the Dual Target 21psi calibration is safe on stock internals? well I do have intake and exhaust and that's it
CVT also :)
Thank you
Most definitely. I'm pushing 25psi on a larger turbo with e-blend making over 300whp. So a basic basemap ktuner flash is perfectly safe. However, remember you still need to do preventative maintenance. Stock or tuned, if you don't take care of your car you can easily cause some serious damage.
Yeah I think youl be fine
...I was thinking of doing the same
After adding all those into the K-tuner and the car. Do you think it still need to be tune by someone know how to tune the car
?
Custom tune is always the best route to go if you add on any bolt on parts as the tune will be tailored specifically for your car as variations and tolerance acceptance could play a factor whether its aftermarket parts or even just the oem part. Civics are most produced economy cars so some variations will exist.
Any way I can get the 6mt settings?
4:23 I've got a cold air intake from AEM. Should I change anything there?
Only intake settings
So I have the 1.2 installed and got the tsp1 tune I want to upload. Its a cvt and I am only seeing the advanced VSA control that I can adjust. Would clicking the aggressive mode do any difference? Asking before I do the upload.
TSP is a different "canned" tune so there are less features available to tweak on that versus a basic Ktuner "basemap". In regards to advanced VSA, thats something you will want to test out based on what you really want. In a very basic general sense, leave it alone unless you really need to dial in your traction control (aka track days, drag days, spirited back roads). But there are slight differences you can feel depending on the circumstances if you chance up the advanced VSA modes.
Get the phearable tune, you wont go back to tsp
@@ashleygorman5556 whats the difference?
@@TheAvada32002 While they have no established and published dyno charts out for the CVT (which I don't really understand why they wouldn't)... The Phearable tune seemse to be more aggressive.
This was my basic analysis when it first came out.
So to compare peak numbers.
TSP: 219whp at 5250rpm
258wtq at 3350rpm
Ph: 220whp at 5150rpm
269wtq at 3490rpm
Both state that below 4500rpm (phearable) 4000rpm (tsp) that torque is reduced for CVTs.
My guess is that Phearable is a tad more aggressive with its tune in regards to mid range as you can see the tq difference. However, without knowing how much the two dyno's differ when tuning the exact same car on it, hard to say.
In my opinion and if I had to make the choice with my car with my money... , for a newer car I would probably try out the Phearable tune as you have less wear on the trans at that point. However, a car with 50k+ miles, I would probably err on the side of a bit more caution and go with TSP.
Mind you I'm pushing way more power than both tunes at 302whp/267wtq albeit this is on a custom tune with FBO + upgraded turbo + eblend.
@@xjoshuax89 oh cool. You have a cvt also? I have been debating on getting a prl front and down pipe to get more power and torque. But didn't want to blow my transmission.
can you change the maps on the fly?
If your ecu is supported then yes
i dont have as many options on my KTINER compared to this guy :( i have a CVT AUS spec model)
Why you don't use map 1 and 2. You only change map 3. Why
When I used the starter/basemaps there was no need for it.
The difference of the "tweaks" you could do for the 3 maps wouldn't be much.
What is boost by gear limit for? Why did you set it to 18?
"gear" 1 its set to 18 to essentially prevent a scenario where you load up too much boost down low and risk doing damage to the engine.
@@xjoshuax89 thanks! And what is Aggressive ignition pullback, light throttle pullback?
@@kg_1720 I would like to know this as well
@@SpartanKyuubi I know now. So I didn’t know our cvt has 6 speed gear ratio, and if you set the first gear to 18 psi, the engine will limit the boost at 18 psi when on first gear.
@@kg_1720 I was more curious on the ignition pullback/light throttle pullback
What does advanced VSA do?
help your car to not stop giving gas or "break" ( lose power ) when your wheel are spinning
vsa is vehicule stabilization assistance
