In today’s video, I talk to much, so if you’re not a fan of a lot of talking, then feel free to skip towards the end when we go for a joyride. Next weeks video will be much better!
Skip to 12:40 for the joyride!
Anthony Felaire Whats up. Just stumbled across your channel and wanted to say thanks for uploading this video. One question, where did you buy the KTuner from? I’m located here in Menifee and wanted to know if you got it from a dealer or online? Thanks and keep up the good vids.
Dayum baller, this is why Hondas are great!
Team Orca Garage still want a e46 bimmer. This car is almost done with mods as it is my daily driver so I don’t want to push to much power on it ):
Definitely a huge difference with shifting but if you’ve been in a 300whp+ car, it still feels slow
Simba Ndandarika I’ve never been in one, but I do have plans on pushing this tiny 1.5t engine into the 300whp range 😳
Thank you very much for your video sharing. Recently, I also tried to learn about ktuner program, although I didn't quite understand it (because my English level is not very good)
南瘋搶 I’m glad I was able to help you! It means a lot! I also made a video that I just uploaded last week on how to install hondahack and ktuner on the headunit
It’s night and day with a tune! Would you be able to link me to the red dash accents you have. Really looks sweet!
Thanks man! Theres going to be a huge exterior change soon!
Your gonna throw a ton of codes but don’t stress about it haha 😂
Lmfao right 😂 my anxiety is thrilling
hey brooo! just wondering how did u connect your tuner view to ur tuner mines said connected. but the gauges doesn't even go up
Marc Aaron Placides make sure you’re connected by going into the menu on tunerview
So 1 year later how is your car doing
haha, cant wait to put some tunes on my Si!
night and day difference, especially with rev hang removed!!
Is this gonna work fine on cvt 2017? Same procedures of installing and flashing like what u did on your SI?
Eleizer jude Antes yes sir, do the same procedure except when it comes to selecting the vehicle basemap tune it will show the tunes that are only available for the cvt.
Thanks for the big help!!!
How do you get the tuner on your touch screen?
ua-cam.com/video/OlElQEpXH_c/v-deo.htmlsi=tqBflBzs4jOxm_N6
Any idea which tune is better ? The 19/23psi or the TSP stage 1 tune? Everyone says get the TSP tune, Reliability is also a big factor for me too. I have a 2019 si
Ive been on tsp stage 1 race tune since january. Im using a race maf which requires me to use tsp race stage 1. My clutch is still good. I do beat on it here and there and no issues
Show the rpm when you 2step not your side mirror I get you’re trying to pick up sound but honestly rpm at this point is more interesting and valuable info but I like the vid don’t get me wrong I wanna see more content on this channel mainly like bigger turbo and different internals like pistons cams so basically upgrade the si but not with only bolt ons every one those that
Hey buddy! Thanks for the input! Watch my newest video as I won’t be uploading on this channel anymore! My newest video shows my new build along with my new channel in the description. In case you wanna watch my content still! Also my Ig is mvrkaw11
At the time of the video. Which mods you've got in the car other than intake?
Aim_Col Tony springs, muffler delete, wheels, shift knob, prl cobra intake. That’s what I had done with both performance and cosmetics
Slow school crossing Lol
Matthew Delude what is such a thing 😂
Is there any way to unenable early turbo spool once you flashed the ecu?
Yes! If you have ktuner v2 you can do the flash otg. If not you have to do it through the computer. It’s pretty straight forward.
Where is Odb 2?
Below the driver dash, above where your foot would be on the clutch.
How long did you wait for the new screen after you created the account? Ive been at exchanging data for about 5 min now
Paul Loya it took about 3 minutes after making the account try exiting ktuner and opening it again and if it asks you to login just login and if it doesn’t work make a new account
MVRKVLG I eventually got it but thanks ! I had to use a different USB port, I guess the one using wasn’t supplying enough power for the tuner
Hey I tried registering my account yesterday and it's been 24 hours and still nothing has changed. How long did it take you to register your account?
Almost instantly
what software did you make for pop bang?
It’ll do that without any tune just get a muffler delete
Do you absolutely need a display or honda hack to use your tunes or can you just install and just have it on let's say Google maps or Spotify and still run tunes? Really don't want to spend the extra 200 for a head unit if I don't need it. Thanks!
All you need it ktuner, you absolutely don’t need a display whether it’s your headunit, phone or tablet. Having the display just allows you to see your system and keep an eye for afr, kcont, etc. all you do is upload the tune and forget about it, as long as you keep the tuner plugged into your ecu you are completely fine
@@FORSAKENGARAGE thanks bro!
I have 18 aspec & hear crackles in 2nd gear of course I'm using paddle shifters no manual with the tlx, but I had my third cat removed, a cherrybomb m80 as the resonator & straight piped back, so I'm curious how the sound would be if I tune it, also how much more hp, its comes with 290 hp
Honestly with a basemap tune expect to make minimum 25-30 hp added with a basemap if it’s a custom tune they can probably make it higher without to many mods
@@FORSAKENGARAGE Thx sounds good
Seems easy but is there a base map if my honda has an intake and exhaust or is it all the same
Irineo Romero Jr there’s multiple base maps you can use, an exhaust won’t matter, if the intake is a street version you’ll be fine but however if you get a intake that is a race maf , you can use a basemap but you’ll have to change the maf to race on ktuner
Hello, I'm from Brazil, how many civic 1.5 touring can I install ktuner on?
I want to know if I can install it in a 3-car civic touring 1.5 turbo?
how much ktuner flash is available?
Nelson panema you can only use one ktuner for one car, if you have 3 civics you must have 3 different ktuner s
bro, if you buy the ktunner you have stage 0 ,1 and 2 and dual psi?? or you have to buy a tune???
When you buy ktuner, you have basemap tunes that are free and come with ktuner, I believe for the si it has a total of around 7 basemap tunes that you can upload to the ecu. When I first got ktuner I was running the dual psi tune, and then I decided to buy tsp and later on bought phearable.
@@FORSAKENGARAGE thanks bro!!!
You are very welcome! Do me a huge favor and share my channel! 🙏🏽
did u lose your warranty when u installed ur down pipe?
No, Honda has to provide extended data showing the reason for a default was due to a modification. Your warranty will never be voided unless the dealer can prove that the reason something happened was due to whatever corresponding part that was installed. My dealership never said anything about the mods on my car and I would get my free oil changed done there every now and then.
Did you need a downpipe to run this tune?
No , but if you go catless make sure to disable p420
Can I install this on a 2018 hatchback ex cvt
Andrew Wheeler yes
@@FORSAKENGARAGE will it mess the cvt up
@@Silentdeath1194 From what I've been reading, if you have a GOOD CVT, you're fine with their standard tune. Which puts torque up around the maximum it can probably take. If you have a BAD, or borderline CVT... You'll probably experience an early failure. You could try changing it's fluid at closer intervals, but it's a gamble. If you're like me, and would only 'come onto it' infrequently, then it would probably be fine. If you go WOT stoplight to stoplight constantly? I wouldn't bet on it lasting...
What are your mods?
At the time, ktuner phearable stage 1 w/ for mode, prl catless downpipe, and prl cai. I was also running a bov (yes I know it’s not meant for the car, but I still did it anyway)
Does anybody know what is the best base map for 2017 Civic Ex sedan, CVT transmission?
Phearable
What’s up, my girl has a 2018 ext, she bought a PRL intake with the race maf, and k tuner v1.2, we tried all 3 tunes and the boost goes to like 17 or 18 then it flattens out to like 10psi and stay there.. we can’t figure out what we did wrong.. any advice ?
Is the maf sensor facing the correct way?
And is the clamps fully sealed? Sometimes it can be tightened down and it’ll slip out at an angle thinking you have it secured when there’s a tiny gap opened
@@FORSAKENGARAGE what’s up brotha, it was installed fine, I made sure it was all tight and maf is facing up, it runs fine with the stock intake, once the PRL is installed it doesn’t boost
Did you put “race maf” on the tunes?
@@FORSAKENGARAGE it didn’t give me the option, it had like 5 different tunes but non for the PRL race maf, do I have to download separate?
3:37 thats really confuse me which one i choose? so 19.5 psi its not stock right?
17psi is stock, 19.5 is the max boost you can push with the stock turbo
If you do the one I did, on regular drive it’s stock but in sport mode boost goes to 19.5
@@FORSAKENGARAGE thanks sir subscribed!
Can I still play music with the tunerview on screen
Yes sir, you can still have android auto/Apple and Bluetooth or even usb
Hey bro, just wondering how come you didnt get the v2?
From my understanding, 1.2 and the 2 are the same, the only difference is with the v2 you can switch tunes on the go without a laptop, and comes with a screen. I didnt care for those two so instead of spending close to 600 dollars, ill take the 1.2 and save me 200+ dollars
Thanks, now i got an idea
@@eberzen15 you can honestly use an old android phone or get a 40$ tablet on amazon and install the ktuner app to display your settings. I bought the honda hack for 10$ so i can use my head unit for the numbers.
Can you switch tunes from app either on tablet or on headunit like you can with v2?
Jacob Olave no you cannot, there isn’t a way to save tunes , however if you carry your laptop with you , you can! Just make sure the laptop isn’t dead
Jacob Olave however, if you get the tsp stage tunes, you don’t need v2 to switch maps, you do that via clutch and cruise control button
@@FORSAKENGARAGE I know this old so maybe you've already discovered this by now, but for future readers, yes you can save multiple tunes with the v1.2. You just have to save them to a slot before you flash the ecu using a laptop. You'll be able to access these by using tunerview lite, swiping from the left and selecting Ktuner menu. This is also how you can datalog with the v1.2 without a laptop
@@darkknight097 Oh nice! Thanks for the info. I was having trouble justifying getting the V2 since this so much more. Knowing I can use the app and save tunes means I can just get the V1.2 and call it good!
Any clutch slippage yet?
Travis Frank 22k miles on the car and everything is running fantastic! No clutch issues
how did you get the app on the infotainment screen?
Nathan it’s installed thru the ktuner itself
Search up honda hack on youtube and I'm sure you can figure it out.
I just made a video on how to get tunerview on your headunit as well as the Honda hack sorry for barely replying I’m just seeing this
Hey Mark quick question for ya. I got a successful flash to my ecu but the following codes have remained whether I flash back to factory or upload a new one: adaptive cruise control, autobright issue, hill assist and breaking system. Any suggestions?
Unplug your battery , wait about 5 minutes , plug it back in and drive for about 15 minutes it should go away , if it doesn’t , get your battery checked and see if your battery is going out
What ECU BRAND and part number had the 10th gen? Could you please share with us ?
Alfonso Tejeda I’m sorry I’m not understanding your question
Anthony Felaire no problem , what i mean is: it has a Bosch, Siemens etc. Ecu and what number is simos18, MED17.5 etc, in the ecu has a label where you can see all that data. That info is what I need
Alfonso Tejeda I’ll go ahead and check tomorrow, sorry I’m barely seeing your reply, but what exactly did you need I for?
MVRKVLG thanks for your reply, I need just to know brand model or part miner for that ECU, Maybe a picture could be good. alfonso.tejeda@email.com 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Alfonso Tejeda ill get that for you when I get off of work, what do you need it for if you don’t mind me asking?
Can this be done without a laptop? Like, can I connect Ktuner to my desktop pc, then plug it into my car?
You’ll Forsure need a computer of some sort to lock the ktuner to your ecu, unless you have ktuner v2 then you won’t need a computer
@@FORSAKENGARAGE Does it have to be a laptop? Bc i only have a desktop lol
It can be a desktop, unplug that and plug it in the garage right quick lol
@@FORSAKENGARAGE Okay great, thanks!
Just tuned my car but the check engine light came on, how can I get rid of it
What do you have done to it? Any bolt ons ect. Message me on ig @mvrkfc3
I have a 2017 Honda Civic ex-t, I haven’t done any bolt ons to the car beside a muffler delete. I tuned my car this week with k tune 1.2 and the emissions system light came on. I untuned it went to factory setting and the light remained on
@@bryangaytan9777 any update on this ? light still on?
Unfortunately it is still on
If you get any codes use your ktuner software that you downloaded into your pc to get rid of any error codes. There's tutorial videos on UA-cam if you need additional information.
Does using KTuner void your warranty?
The short answer? Yes. The long answer? It depends. Depends on the make and dealership, and on WHAT is broken. So if you have a KTuner, and your power windows stop working, chances are they won't void that warranty claim. If you blow out a head gasket or something powertrain-related, that could be a different story... Some will put it through, others will deny any warranty claim immediately, and let you fight it out with them in court. It's always a gamble.
Can’t you just flash back to factory?
@@penguin5597 You can, but modern ECUs will take notice of this and either count how many times they've been reloaded, or just trip a pointer that they have ever been. VW is famous for voiding their warranty coverages once they see that pointer tripped.
How do u choose gen and model of ur car?
it automatically detects it when you lock ktuner to the ecu.
@@FORSAKENGARAGE oh ok thanks
Anyone who uses a mac, there's a chance you can do this on a virtual machine. No need to buy a windows computer.
Yo hi. Do i need to install CAI first before getting a ktuner, ?
Ventus Hearts it depends. What kind of intake are you getting? If you’re getting prl and it’s the street version you will not need ktuner, if you decide to go with the race version (race maf) you will need ktuner
MVRKVLG thanks for the response. But i don’t have a intake yet. Like all stock. I just did a muffler delete. Is that gonna be fine?
Ventus Hearts yes sir, let me run you down on things you can do without ktuner. Everything I’m about to list will be able to do without ktuner. Muffler delete or any kind of exhaust that is aftermarket, downpipe (as long as it is catted and not catless) intake (as long as it’s not a race maf), intercooler. Now I do advise you to get a catless downpipe but with that you will need a ktuner or hondata to disable your code to ensure your car doesn’t go on limp mode. Reason I say catless is due to being able to push more power, and if you decide to race from a dig and utilize 2 step it will damage your stock cat or even a catted aftermarket downpipe in the long run. On top of that, if you want something loud a catless downpipe with a muffler delete sounds good, it will have a little rasp and drone but if you switch your stock resonator for a aftermarket one it’ll even it out and sound really good and in my opinion it would sound better than most exhaust on the market that’s available for the 10th gen si. Obviously when you upgrade your turbo you will need a ktuner or hondata to run the basemap for the turbo you desire. A custom tune will also be your best option as it will make the most of the turbo, but I don’t suggest getting a custom tune until you have all the mods you have. Otherwise you’d be wasting your money because you’d have to retune it when you get other performance mods. For me my goal right now is to upgrade the turbo, go flex fuel, upgrade my intercooler, go catless downpipe and front pipe, and then go custom tune, I don’t plan on making more than 350 hp .
MVRKVLG i just wanna get a little bit HP on my civic LX, that’s all. But bro, you are amazing! Thanks fo that!
Ventus Hearts no worries! Ktuner and a cold air intake would probably be the best if you’re just trying to get minimal horsepower gains. However I would advise you to get the race maf version and obviously you will need ktuner for that. Reason I say that is because the race maf will provide extra horsepower compared to a street size maf. Race maf will give you 15hp and ktuner will add another 10-20 depending on which tune you select. That way it gives you a boost in power.
How did u get the tuner view?
Eleizer jude Antes I’m going to upload a video tomorrow showing how to install ktuner and install Honda hack to get tunerview
MVRKVLG thank you so much!!!!
Eleizer jude Antes the upload never went through I set it scheduled to be uploaded tomorrow at noon!
MVRKVLG wow nice! Thank you so much
And whatbis Rev hang?
Irineo Romero Jr rev hang is when you are changing gears, and as you push the clutch in, you’ll see the rpms go up just a tad, and then it’ll drop where as if you delete the rev hang the rpms drop instantly when you push in the clutch.
MVRKVLG oh OK makes sense what does this do for the car?
Is this the K20 or L15?
Si is a 1.5t l15b7
@@FORSAKENGARAGE oh this is an si model
What's the Honda hack
Ahmed Wasir it’s just something you install on the headunit which allows you to download apps, such as ktuner, Spotify, Netflix etc.
Anthony Felaire what is it? I wanna get it
Any clutch slipage with tune?
fc1_si detailing so far, nothing yet. However I will be upgrading my clutch soon due to more performance gains ! Thanks for watching, videos will be uploaded every Monday, help a brother out and show some support!
Why does your car sound loud?
German The pilot R catless downpipe with a muffler delete! No point in getting an after market exhaust besides looks, I say that cause it’s proven that with these 10th gen civics, it doesn’t add horsepower. They all sound relatively the same, maybe slight difference in sound but I wouldn’t waste money on buying an after market exhaust. You’re better off customizing it yourself by picking your own tip.
@@FORSAKENGARAGE I was reading that just the other day. I think it's more that with a larger exhaust, it moves the powerband up the scale to where the smaller turbo can't really 'use' it anymore, so it doesn't make much sense to do so. Just going with a downpipe lets it breathe a little better, but keeps flow so you don't lose the lower-end torque as much.
Big Bossman I agree, most aftermarket exhausts that are available for the 1.5t sounds the same with a muffler delete (IMO)
Big Bossman I plan on doing flex fuel, as well as custom tuning after I get all the parts I want 🤭 I plan on making this car to the mid 300 range 😳
Dyno your car next lol
4 more bigger performance parts before we’re ready for that 👀
@@FORSAKENGARAGE 🧐🧐🧐
Team Orca Garage let’s just say that there’s forsure going to be a turbo upgrade 🤭
What a pile of nonsense to load a tune. Diabo tuner is way easier
It’s a process lol
