Hi Cameron. The "incorrect" thing is that KTuner not "piggyback" the ECU. It will allow you to overwrite the stock parameters within the stock ECU. Piggyback is a different thing. Also TunerView is not just for the headunit. It has a separate Android Phone app that has more feature and you can keep the headunit stock. You can upload 5 tunes to the V1.2 too, and you can flash it with the TunerView app without using a laptop.
You're saying you're pretty new at this tuning scene, yet here you are with just about every bolt-on on your car haha. It's also great that you do your research, that's why your content is awesome.
You gotta justify the mods. Give the bonuses other than performance. Tell her this will help with fuel economy. As for the shifter bits, tell her it makes stuff silky smooth
Hey Cam! Nice job explaining the difference between the two. I have the V2 with TSP and Phearable, got that after your video. The end reel was a great addition!! Hilarious 🤣! Smart move letting Vivian drive the 10 gen. Enjoy the ghost car and your extra passenger. Hey now you can drive in the carpool lane!!
Hey Cameron I love the vids man keep them coming. They’re really helpful and I love seeing all of your upgrades on your 10th gen. I have a tenth gen of my own and I’m really looking forward to getting a tuner so I can take off the rev hang!! Also you were smacked af at the end of this video and you can see that mean ass rig in the back lol.
I just bought a black 2020 civic SI sedan and I was thinking about tuning my car to get rid of rev hang and I was on 2 step performance website and seen both the 1.2 and 2.0 versions and wondered the difference between the two and came across your video. Good video man and I liked your explanation. Will be getting v2 in the near future!
@@gettingfitat5015 - Thanks for your note. I don't have an SI, just the base model hatchback, 6 speed, 1.5 turbo - will it still work good for a non-Si, you think?

So, if I need to go to the dealer for warranty repairs, can I just unload the tune and bring back factory settings, so everything looks normal when I bring it to dealer?
Got a question for you, I just bought a 2017 si coupe. It’s got: catless dp, front mount intercooler, full exhaust, intake, short shifter. First off, is that your stock head unit on your 2020 si? If not I’d like to know what it is the audio in these cars is so bad. Also, how much am I REALLY missing out on if I get the v1.2 instead of the v2?
I have a 2014 Accord 2.4L cvt and don’t mind the v1.2 and honestly am not really looking to bump the power up on this vehicle. I’m mainly looking for smoother operation of the cvt.
I just ordered my V2 for my 13 3.5 coupe Accord off Amazon. They let u do 0% interest for 18month costing me about $40 a month. What a steal. I've seen these sale used for the same price as new.

If I get a v1.2 can I use a laptop to load tunes on the fly or do I need the v2 for that. Also can I use my laptop to monitor the temps, knock ctrl etc? I don’t see the point in the v2 if it’s just a screen when i can just use a laptop.

If someone just wants to disable the god awful rev hang in a 2020 Si, would I be correct in saying the cheapest way of doing that is with KTuner v1.2? And does the KTuner unit need to stay connected to the ODBII port at all times? Thanks Cameron.
Yes, the cheapest way to do that would be the ktuner v1.2. I have also heard of some people using a universal tuner called a "JB4" which apparently is untraceable. That means; Honda won't be able to tell that you have messed with your ECU. Idk, but ktuner is the way to go in my opinion. The ktuner does not have to be plugged into the OBDII port after you have flashed the car.
So one question I have, which I’ve heard but am not sure about, is whether the v2 can be used without a computer? I know 1.2 needs a windows computer to help get everything installed but I would like to know if you have any insight on this. Thanks for the video.
Hey Patrick. You have to use a windows computer to register and set up the v2, but after that, you will not need a computer to flash tunes to your car.
